Summary: Don't Call Me Stupid.
Review: I measure comedic films on whether they are funny or not. A Fish Called Wanda, in my opinion, is a classic in this sense. This film is a joy to watch, with great performances by Kevin Kline (best supporting actor), John Cleese, Michael Palin and Jamie Lee Curtis. Fierce Creatures is not a sequel to A Fish Called Wanda, so be forewarned. It's not as good either. A Fish Called Wanda is a must have for any film collector.

Summary: Excellent Transfer to DVD
Review: I have seen this movie in VHS, Beta, and now on DVD. I found it to be an excellent transfer of a supremely funny movie. My only regret is there were no SPECIAL features. Hence 4 stars instead of 5

Summary: Stupid? Don't call it stupid!
Review: Think you can watch this movie and not find yourself repeating some lines afterwords? Forget it. You'll never yell at a bad driver quite the same way again. You'll be tempted to wake your spouse by saying "Wake up Limey Fish!" And woe the friend that ever, EVER calls you stupid!!

Kevin Kline is nothing short of a laugh riot. Since Wanda, I've watched for other movies with Kline, but no others come close to capturing his talent like this. Just his gesticulations alone will make you laugh - unless you're in a coma. And Jamie Lee, well, she's also at her best. Very believable as the scheming girlfriend. Those two wonderful talents, with the added genius of Monty Python's John Cleese and Michael Palin, mix to make this a gem of comedic art! You won't be.."DIS-A-PPOIN-TED!"

Summary: One of the funniest movies ever
Review: I guess this one needs no further presentation. It is the best dramatic comedy since »Nuns On The Run«, perfectly combining British humour with an exciting story of crime, lies, intrigues, love... and animal torture!

If you haven't seen it yet, JUST DO SO! NOW!

Summary: Quite simply, the greatest movie I have ever seen!
Review: This movie compared how American and Brits see each other. This movie is so hilarious throughout, it is impossible to pin down a single best scene. Kline much deserved his Oscar, from Otto (it means Eight) to Harvey Manfrengensin. I can't imagine a more hilarious way of getting rid of a witness.

Summary: "Don't call me stupid..."
Review: What a killer movie! It is utterly tasteless, completely un-PC, and wickedly funny. Kevin Kline is brilliant, and truly inspired. His devilish sense of humor is insane. When he pretends to be gay, it is an absolute riot, and the scene where Curtis yells at Kline is priceless. Kline truly deserved that Oscar, but the whole cast is inspired. I love how the movie ends

Summary: K-K-K-K-Ken is c-c-c-coming to k-k-k-kill me!
Review: Hilarious, wonderful film with many twists and hundreds of classic moments. The cast is perfect, and Kevin Kline deservedly won an Oscar in one of the greatest comedic performances ever. A great double feature with the sadly underrated "Fierce Creatures." For a fun flub, watch carefully during the scene in which Jamie Lee Curtis visits John Cleese's office to discuss the case. As she is leaving, you can clearly see a reflection in the mirror of the camera and several crew members.

Summary: One of my top 5 comedies of all time.
Review: John Cleese was not my favorite member of Monty Python, but he certainly has done the best work since. His wit and slapstick made Faulty Towers a must have. With "Fish" he showed Hollywood he could transfer that brilliance to the big screen. Cleese stays in the background in this one allowing most of the big laughs to go to Kline and Palin. There is enough here for everyone with some slapstick , romantic comedy, and politically incorectness thrown into this "who gets the girl, who gets the loot" farce. Oh, by the way, watching Jamie Lee get all warm and fuzzy a couple times doesn't hurt none either :)

Summary: Hilarious film!
Review: A Fish Called Wanda has got to be one of the funniest movies ever. It's got an amazing ensemble cast, with brilliant work by Kevin Kline and Michael Palin. There are too many memorable scenes from this film to mention here - my favorites are where Palin's character tries (repeatedly) to kill the old woman, and the "K-k-ken is c-c-coming to k-k-kill me!" bit. And the part where John Cleese cavorts naked around the apartment speaking Russian. Hilarious. That's the only word for it. I recommend watching this film very late at night with a bunch of other people - it makes it even more funny (if that's possible).

Summary: Funny But Dated Film, Horrible Transfer To DVD
Review: I remember really liking this movie when it came out in the 80's but then again I was about 16 at the time...It's still pretty funny but not a great movie, certainly not as good as people raved back in the day. The low rating I gave this movie is due more to the EXTREMELY poor quality DVD release of the film; it looks like it was taken straight from an overplayed videotape & the sound is just as poor, rent it if you want to revisit this film but don't bother buying the DVD!
