Summary: Anne of Green Gables is definitely worth watching.
Review: I watched Anne of Green Gables with one of my friends. I was in doubt about whether or not I wanted to see it. I am so glad I did. I absolutely loved it. There is such a sweetness to the movie, making you want to live in Avonlea and be one of the characters in the story. Megan Follows does a great job of portraying Anne, an orphan with an incredible imagination which sometimes gets her into trouble. The other casting is also wonderful, and I couldn't help wishing that the world which this takes place in really existed. My favorite part is when Anne is in the canoe, and it starts to sink. It is a perfect example of Anne's creative imagination. I would encourage everyone to watch this video, young and old. It will make you laugh, cry, and want to be Anne. It is to please people of all ages.

Summary: heart wrenching
Review: This has got to be one of my favourite movies of all time. Even the mini-series, and the spin-off 'Road to Avonlea' are awesome. Anne is so melodramatic, and over zealous. I'm so glad that they're coming out with a sequel, I'll be the first in line. I can hardly wait! I feel for the orphan "Ann with an 'e'". The story is excellent, and Megan Follows is a brilliant actress. I'm so glad that she agreed to do the sequel. I hope that you're paying her what she's worth!!!.

Summary: This is one of the most best movies ever made!
Review: I recently saw "Anne of Green Gables" with my cousin. It certaimly meets up to its expectations. My best part in this movie was probably the incident when Gilbert Blythe picks up Anne Shirley from the lake. I would certainly suggest people especially young girls to see this movie, in god times or bad, especially to get away from those hard days.

Summary: Best miniseries ever made.
Review: Even my mother loved this, and she only watches soaps! I first saw AOGG when I was eleven, and now whenever I'm down, watching it always cheers me up. Just thinking of Anne breaking a slate over Gilbert's head makes me smile. The music is beautiful, and the film is suitable for anyone with a heart. I can't wait for the "Anne of Green Gables: the Continuing Story." I just hope that Amazon.com will be selling the video (Amazon - take note!)

Summary: Awesome therapy for "Jonah days."
Review: I own both "Anne of Green Gables" and "Anne of Avonlea" and watch one or both when the modern world gets to me and I want to rest in a world of enchantment. The performances of all involved are exquisite, especially the radiant Megan Follows. Wonderful for all ages, faithful to the book. Next try reading all the "Anne" books!

Summary: My all time favorite movie!!!
Review: I have seen this movie so many times, I've lost count!!! It is perfectly casted! No one could have played Anne better than Megan Follows! The scenery is beautiful! This movie takes you to a simpler time from which you never want to leave. I love this movie so much, I drove from California to Prince Edward Island, Canada (about 4,000 miles) to see Anne's world first hand. I spent 10 memorable days on the island. There aren't enough stars to give this jewel the rating it deserves!

Summary: Megan Follows delivers a performance that is timeless.
Review: Megan Follows creates a richness and depth of portrayal in her role of Anne that surpasses the single dimension of television. Her performance is almost spiritual in nature which is one reason why viewers are emotionally affected by watching her. The message of the movie is that life is full of hurts, and it always will be. As long as you live, you will be hurt, offended, and disappointed. But you need not be alarmed. You can learn to rise above lifes hurts and disappointments.

When Marilla decides to work with Anne and give her proper Christian training and religion, she tells Anne that "Despair is the absence of God."

The bottom line: If this had been a feature movie, Megan would have won the Academy Award (Oscar) for best actress. Her performance is that good.
