Summary: No angel, this
Review: Dull, violent garbage that epitomizes the worst in anime without any of its redeeming qualities. An antiterrorism division of the Tokyo Police gets a lot more than it bargained for when it tangles with a group of psychic vigilantes. The whole thing then turns into a gross "RoboCop" ripoff, without the sly irony or humor of that movie. Pallid characters and a thoroughly awful dubbing job make this one a candidate for being taped over with "Simpsons" episodes. Get "I Love Maria" instead.

Summary: Great and gritty.
Review: Even though its a few years old the animation is still pretty good, the story is enticing and the charachters are unforgettable. The violence and profanity levels are very high though.I really like this anime.

Summary: A progressive anime from bad to good.
Review: First off, lets rid ourselves of the misconceptions about this video. She does not wear that scantly clad suit or anything like that in the movie, sorry guys. Second, Angel is just her name, no super powers for her. Third, there is nothing angelica about this lady till the last two episodes, if you get my drift. Now, as my title shows, this anime progresses from bad to good. The first two episodes were only meant to set the foundation of the last four episodes, i.e. watch this movie all at one time or else you'll think you got jipped after the first two, and miss out. The episodes progressively get more violent, which is great and the introduction of psychic powers and cyborg elements make it even better. I only wish to that they would go more into the background of Angel, since she is the main character and to understand why she was so cold at first, but since they didn't do that for any of the characters, no exception was made for her. From my experience, with anime, I wouldn't say shes worth buying unless you like collecting anime. I may be wrong though, I did watch this movie with little sleep and a desire to see lots of violence. In other words, if you can't find it a rental place, might as well buy it. Nothing better than seeing an anime that ties up its loose ends.

Summary: A good anime not the best but most definetly not the worse.
Review: I liked this move a good deal. It it a little violent but then most Anime's are. The hero in this move is also not all good, like you would find in alot of American moves. But in the end although many die she comes out victorious. It has a good stroy and some intersting twists at the end, I think if you see it you will enjoy it.

Summary: Okay... but that's about it.
Review: I ordered this tape to test a theory... that I like my anime fairly light and humourous. I'm not sure if this was the right one to test that theory with, as "Angel Cop," while dark, gritty and bloody, is also a pretty standard tale from the cyberpunk genre. (The characters are morally questionable, they are working for bosses who are corrupt and getting ready to screw everyone, and in the end, pretty much everyone dies.)

I do like the fact that this single tape contains a complete story, but I was still left feeling as though I wanted something a bit more original. Maybe "Angel Cop" just isn't a tale that holds up well because of the passage of time?

Summary: Angel
Review: I really dont want to ruin it for you so im not going to say much. It is a very good animated movie. It has a good story line too.

Summary: Outdated in Animation and Story - Skip it
Review: If you want R-rated action, go with "Ninja Scroll". If you want PG-rated action, go with "Dragon Ball Z - Tree of Might". The animation look dated and cheap. The characters are card-board cutouts with no charisma. The story lacks originality. I stopped watching after 10 minutes. There are tons of better anime to be had, so skip this one.

Summary: Best anime Cop show
Review: It's kind of strange how I ended up buying Angel cop the collection. I had seen a commerical for this once that showed Angel taking her helmet off over and over again, because her partner was shocked to find out this his new partner was a tough, female cop (Angel). After seeing this cheesy commerical I thought that it something I definately didn't want to waste my time or money on. Later on I saw a review for this series in an anime magazine it sounded interesting enough. The thing that made me finally decide to give it a chance was the length and at that time I was buying anime based on length hoping to get more for my money which is definately not a recommended strategy for purchasing anime. I was extermely lucky with this one.

This is one of the best cop shows in all of anime. There is plenty of story, action, violence, profanity, and interesting characters to satisfy any action-junkie. Also Angel's ride was pretty phat!

The drawback is the dubbing. It wasn't all that great. Some people did some extremely bad acting and when other people cursed it sounded forced.

Based on the amount of graphic violence, strong language, and nudity I would recommend this to mature viewers 17 and up.
