The campaign in Helmajistan continues, with Mithril officers assigned to assassinate the terrorist Gauron and capture a nuclear warhead. Sousuke's character is shown in more depth as he demonstrates his skill at desert warfare, and flashbacks reveal how he became a guerilla fighter at the age of 8. Although he and Kaname pine when they're separated, they immediately begin squabbling when they're reunited. Sousuke gets in trouble, first for building a prison-style security tower at a high school festival, then for inviting Kaname to spend a week on a tropical island--a romantic vacation that turns out to be business visit to Mithril HQ. This "romantic" jaunt is complicated by an unexpected skydiving episode and a trip aboard a top secret submarine.
