Summary: Sesshomaru & Inuyasha
Review: Episode 45, "Sesshomaru wields Tokijin", is one of my favorite episodes which involve Inuyasha and his older brother. Of all the relationships between the characters of the series (romantic and otherwise), I find the relationship between the two brothers the most intriguing. Most viewers see their relationship as one of deep hatred, or at the very least extreme dislike. But it is actually much more complex. In the beginning, there is no doubt that Sesshomaru hated his younger brother, whom he considered inferior because of his human lineage, and -- as seen in the incident with the panther tribe (episodes 75-78) -- disloyal and unreliable. There was also the intense jealousy because their father left the sword that he desired so much to Inuyasha. He tried to kill Inuyasha for it but lost his left arm in the process, adding to the enmity. Since then at every encounter, Sesshomaru tried to kill Inuyasha. But as the story developed, Sesshomaru's murderous intentions became less and less clear.

The fact is, if Sesshomaru truly had wanted to kill Inuyasha, he certainly would be able to do it without difficulty. Inuyasha is no match for Sesshomaru, who is far more powerful and faster, and remorseless. In episodes 133-134, "The woman who loved Sesshomaru" (a beautiful story, packaged in Japanese as a separate DVD), directly after his left arm was cut off and he escaped, Sesshomaru killed a whole army merely by slashing them with the whip-like force that came out of his three right fingers. In episode 45, when Sesshomaru attacked Inuyasha with his Tokijin, he was able to hurl Tetsusaiga out of Inuyasha's hand because it was too heavy. He could have killed Inuyasha right there with his sword, but instead he blasted him away. Then he charged toward Inuyasha, and everyone thought he was going to kill Inuyasha. But Sesshomaru's intention all along was to push Inuyasha to the brink because he wanted to see Inuyasha's demonic transformation. In episodes 75-78 (against the Panther tribe) and 79-81 (the abduction of Rin) -- in my opinion the best episodes so far -- the two brothers fought together. Although there was clearly animosity between them, Sesshomaru allowed Inuyasha to help. After he released the life force from the master of the Panther tribe with his Tensaiga, he could have finished up with Tokijin. But he let Inuyasha bring the demon down with the Tetsusaiga.

Among the characters in the series, Sesshomaru's is the most enigmatic; hidden behind his aristocratic demeanor and his quiet elegance. He is cold and despises humans, yet his affection for Rin, a human girl, goes so far as facing off with Naraku when the latter abducted her. He may be jealous of Inuyasha owning the Tetsusaiga, but there are many times when he foregoes the opportunity to kill Inuyasha, albeit pushing him so Inuyasha would discover his own strength and the true value of the Tetsusaiga. More like a trainer than an enemy.

Summary: Inuyasha-Broken Fang
Review: The first of the three episodes is great. Shippo gets wrapped up by some soul collectors - "let go o' me you slithery demons!" and there follows a good scene between the still wounded Inu-Yasha, Kikyo, and a snooping Kagura. The third incarnation of Naraku is truly creepy and fightening, and the battle to defeat him is as entertaining as previous encounters with Naraku and Kagura.

The second and third episodes are not as intense and cover familiar territory of forging magical swords, a sub-plot with an evil student of the elderly swordsmith, and Inu-Yasha's half brother.

Summary: TheBestInuyashaEpisodeThusFar
Review: This was the most exciting Inuyasha episode that I have yet seen. This is such an amazing show, and nearly all of the episodes have been great. However, this particular episode was amazing. Probably because after watching all of the earlier episodes you just seem to be waiting for this moment to come. The moment when the half demon Inuyasha finally turns full demon. I couldn't wait for it to happen because you knew that it had to eventually. Inuyasha was so powerful before this stage in his demon development. He was so strong that he was able to take on his full demon older brother Sesshomaru and defeat him by tearing his arm off. So, naturally his awaited powers as a fullfledged demon would have to be nearly unimaginable.
Later episodes are amazing too because they are so powerful and moving to watch. I love the fact that in later episodes they reveal that Inuyasha will eventually be consumed by his raging demon side and destroy himself until dead if he keeps being denied the company of his sword and protector, Tetsaiga. It's very emotional. This is the best show ever, and I cant wait to see the day when Inu-Yasha and Sesshomaru finally come to respect one another as brothers or demons.
