Rating: Summary: The Black Sheep of the Dragonball Family... Review: ...is without a doubt, the GT series. With vastly different writing, I would almost say it's not that fair to even call GT a Dragonball series. In fact, the GT series reminds me of what happens when "fan-fiction" goes way too far... and never was a fan of "Fanfic" at all to begin with. In this volume, Goku is battling the last shenron dragon who absorbs the dragonballs. Being overmatched by his power, he has help from old nemesis/friend Vegeta, and they perform Fusion for the first time in the Dragonball GT series. However will the fusion last? Sadly, this really is one of the better of the Dragonball GT releases. Lets face it, all GT does is pull out the most popular themes from Dragonball Z and sort of twist them. For instance, the Fusion here (Gogeta) vs. the **permanent** fusion in Z (Vegitto) seems to me more like a last ditch effort to save this series. Of course you have to overlook one big, giant hole in that... exactly when did Goku and Vegeta practice the whole fusion dance again? Not in the Dragonball GT or Z series, but in the Dragonball Z movie. Also, in Dragonball GT, the authors totally destroy the value of the "Super Saiyan". The best evidence of this is from the Super Android 17 series. C'mon, Gohan beat Cell, who absorbed 2 androids, as a child... I'll give much thanks to Funimation for bringing the franchise to the US shores. I think they did a great job, and they're the reason I give this three stars - they tried to keep everything, including voiceovers, very consistent. Just... the material wasn't much to work with. However IMO, it would have been better to spend a more time on showing the rest of the Dragonball Z movies... after the Brolly movie, that was all they released. Maybe the Goku/Vegeta fusion would've made more sense to new fans.

Rating: Summary: Super Saiyan 4 fusion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Amazingly enough, this was indeed the highlight of the GT series. As Super Saiyna 4 Goku tries to fell Omega Shenron, the ultimate shodow dragon, Goku's efforts were proved to be in vain. Then Vegeta came to the scene when Goku planned to blow himself up like a jackass; then it happened. Vegeta finally reached the level of Super Saiyan 4. Then they decided to do a fusion. With the two of them combined, they have proved to be unstoppable. But the fusion proven to take too much out of both of them and used up most of their power. If they are unable to fuse again, will the two strongest saiyans alive be able to destroy the last of the shadow dragons? Find out in the next DVD "Generations".

Rating: Summary: The Best of DBGT Review: In America, DBGT has received pretty mediocre treatment, which is a shame because I personally enjoy this series a lot. These particular episodes are really good, and while the dub is still only "okay," the Japanese version is excellent. Basically, this DVD is what fans expected out of GT ever since it released last April: Super Saiyan 4 Goku & Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta fusing into SSJ4 Gogeta. It's got some of the series' best action, good humor, and a purely evil enemy, worlds stronger than the infamous Kid Buu. Even if you're not big into DBGT, I highly recommend you pick up this and the other 4 DVDs in the Evil Shenron Saga, because they (especially the later eps.) are some of the best in the DB/Z/GT storyline.
