Rating: Summary: Wow Review: That has been my first and only impression of Cowboy Bebop. Sessions 1-5 comes into your life like an affliction, Session 6 leaves you with an addiction. The complete storyline is a wonderful rollercoaster ride of emotions. The music in Cowboy Bebop is stunning, breathtaking and surreal. I find myself wishing that there were more episodes available than the 26 that were created. I would strongly recommend purchasing the entire collection....Hope to see you again real soon Space Cowboy.
Rating: Summary: five stars realy isn't enough..... Review: this is realy one of the greatest things I've ever seen, I say that asuming I've seen something better, but I can't think of anything right now. when I ordered it I didn't expect it to be so good. I was thinking action shoot out! while it had a lot of action and shoot outs, it was so much more. theres a great story and its perfectly orchistrated, and they can pull off dramatic scenes like I've never seen. let me sum it up, if you like gunfighting, order it, if you like love storys, order it, if you like great music, order it, if you like trajetys, order it, (shakespear couldn't touch this), if you've seen the rest of the series WHAT ARE YOU READING THIS REVIEW FOR YOU SHOULD HAVE ORDERED IT ALREADY! the last two ep. were so great, the other reviewers who didn't like them well I'm not sure what they were thinking. even if you don't like anime, order it, this will make you like anime...
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable Review: Without a doubt this is the best volume in the series. It answers a lot of questions and brings everything to a conclusion. I will say that I pretty much guessed the ending way before it happened though and I think that most people probably will. I can't wait for the movie now!
Rating: Summary: Two outta four ain't bad Review: The first two stories in this volume were great! As for the last two, well...I guess the project ran out of money or something. Can't win 'em all...
Rating: Summary: The best thing I've ever seen come out of a television. Review: I've been a big fan of anime for quite a while now, but I can't bring myself to watch it anymore. I saw the end of Cowboy Bebop and I realized that there's no possible way anything could ever be better. It's perfect. There's no point in watching anything else (anything serious, at least). There are always a lot of people who say, "Well, what about (insert title)? That one's pretty good." But there really is no room for argument. Cowboy Bebop is the best cartoon ever. The last two episodes will blow you away (and 'Brain Scratch' is one of the best things I've ever seen as well). Watch them in English, though. This is the only anime I've ever seen that's actually better with dubbing than with subtitling.
Rating: Summary: The exciting conclusion to one of the best anime series Review: This was the in my opinion the best of the Cowboy Bebop DVDs that I own. The exciting conclusion to the series leaves enough twists and turns to leave you shocked at the climatic ending. I couldn't believe how they decided to end the show, but if you payed attention during the other shows, you will see that the series was leading to that moment from the get-go. Watch it!
Rating: Summary: A Worthy Series in Anyone's Collection Review: After buying and watching all six of sessions I can safely say that this series was well worth the money. The Animation, music, and even the english dubbing were very well done. I found that most of the underlying themes were intelligent enough for Adults to appreciate with characters and storytelling that children would be interested. With the exception of a few episodes I would have no problem with my son watching this series. Well worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Like a angel from the underworld.. Review: Bittersweet is how i can describe this last disk of six. The adventures of the crew of the Beebop comes to a close as the past catches to the characters, well except Jet, and the thrillin climax to this great series unfolds. I was so saddened to see this series end but this last disk is surely the best of the six overall. Kudos to all the team involved for giving us an ending that does not allow loose ends to be tied up so neatly. This surely would have lessened the powerful and engaging tone of this show. The last two episodes "The Real Folk Blues 1 and 2" are simply classic. It is up to the veiwer to come to thier own conclusions regarding the ending, and is not spelled out or cheapened with a pat conclusion. I think Jet explains it best in the promo to episode 3. These episodes and the music within as a whole will stay with u long after u are done watchin! BRAVO!! I miss the crew of the Bebop already..snif.. :)
Rating: Summary: An energizer bunny of Anime Review: I have been exposed to anime for a long time, covering almost every genres, but I have to say that this is my most pleasant purchase of all time. I would recommend for those who is new to Bebop,go watch the first five DVDs and this last episode would be more meaningful to you. I make the mistake of purchasing only session 5 & 6, now I can't wait to get my hand on the other four sesions. To people who are already got the previous sessions, order this title now, you will be glad you do. The last three episodes in this DVD will make you feel all mixed up with emotions. I can't say it is sadness or happiness ( I fell all choked up at halfway of the last episode) but I can guarantee that if anybody wants to make a live action movie out of Bebop, refer to the last three episodes! This is vintage Bebop, very good plot, soundtrack and animation quality.. I for one can't hardly wait for the anime movie to be released on DVD (will be released in theaters in Japan 2001,hope the Dvd will be released a few months after the theatrical release). There is a website for the movie though sadly it is in japanese. The animation quality seems to blow the series' a few notches back. To sum up, I almost get tired of the anime genre, but Cowboy Bebop really re-energize my interest for the genre.
Rating: Summary: Bebop at Full Power Review: The last four episodes propel the story of Cowboy Bebop into a higly dramatic conclusion. The first episode is a philospohy episode involoving religion, television and computers. The first couple of minutes into it features scenes of TV shows talking about the cult know as Brain Scratch. The episode ends in a typical Bebop way, but features extremely nice music during the last few minutes. The last episode pays respect to the women of the Bebop. It also gives the final farewell to Ed. After that, the 2 part episode, The Real Folk Blues. Through this stunning two parter, we get to see most of the little flashbacks in previous episodes finally shown completely. Several characters are reintrduced such as the doctor, Annie, the indian from Jupiter Jazz and the three elders of the Red Dragon. As well as give rise to new ones like Julia and Shin (Lin's brother). Every part of these two episodes is enough to make John Woo jealous. I'll stop the story here because I dont wanna spoil the ending. The features on the DVD are great. It starts off normal with the computer screen opening, but then it goes to hacking type of screen and changes the music to that music box song. Ofcourse, this changes to Tank! when you go to the scene selection, but the extras menu has a down beat kinda song to it. Extras include an image gallery of all the DVD and VHS covers in the US release version. Personally, I would have loved to see the Japanese covers for the VHS, but that would take to much space. The Ein gallery can be reached by hitting left six times on the image gallery option and then pressing enter. The quality is great and the sound rocks (but make sure you have a quality sound system or else you won't be able to hear the digital sound). Anyway, buy this DVD and show it to everyone. There is no reason to hesitate on buying it.
