Summary: The Best Anime In The World!
Review: This has got to be Japan Animation at its best! I first viewed Escaflowne on TV on Fox. After that I was amazed beyond belief. Then Fox had to go and kick it off the air and that got me really mad. Then I found out about the Escaflowne Limited Edition TV DVD Box Set and then I decided to buy it. It was even better than I had hoped to imagine. Escaflowne has a way of getting your adrenilene up to max. It has a way of making you feel that you are actually there. I would have to say that it beats Dragon Ball Z hands down, and I'm one of those Dragon Ball Z freaks. Anyway all in all I would definately recomend this to all anime fans out there.

Summary: Escaflowne: Special Edition DVD set
Review: WOW. I bought this series after seeing the first 26 in Core Media format, but I could not get the end. It took a while to come (not from Amazon), but was well worth the wait.

The animation is great, the musical score is fantastic, characters are likeable and the whole atmosphere is very well done.

The boxset is verty nicely packaged, with an actual lid (if you get the special edition verion the Escaflowne toy is in the same style box).

I've only just finished watching the series and can say that I'll definetly be watching it again. It rates up there with my favorite Anime (Noir, Hack Sign).

The English dub is also very well done, with well known voice actors if you are fans of Ranma and/or Transformers - which adds to the feel (especially Valken)

Fantastic stuff, buy it.

Summary: A great series that got booted off the air in favor of trash
Review: I'm not sure what the hell the execs over at Fox were thinking when they pulled Escaflowne in favor of NASCAR Racers. I can guarantee you that garbage didn't generate better ratings. The only thing they did right was make a different opening for the show, which is infinitely cooler than the original Japanese one(which is sadly the one used for the DVD release of Escaflowne). At any rate, there isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said. All I can do is stress that you watch this series, you won't be dissapointed.

Summary: Escaflowne, Must Buy
Review: I watched this series like a thousand times. It has the perfect combination of romance and action for anyone to enjoy. I rated this dvd with a 5 (which is the best i can give it), while it should be a 10 or higher. I reccomend this dvd for anyone who likes anime. Or just anyone in general.

Review: The Vision of Escaflowne. Yes, that is the name of the best anime series ever created. I've never been a big fan of shoujo anime, but I love this one. It has stuff for the girls (romance, cute-ness, big girly anime eyes) and stuff for the guys (action, horror, big giant robots). This show is for everyone, anyone, guys, girls, kids, adults.

(PLOT - 10/10) The plot is great. It's romantic and it's about war. War on another planet, where Earth looks like a moon. War over a giant suit of armor called Escaflowne. Now THAT'S what I call a plot. Hehe.

(MUSIC 7/10) Don't get me wrong; the music is great. The vocals by Maaya Sakamoto are simply GORGEOUS, and the backround music is beautiful and fits every part perfectly. The reason I gave it a 7 is because some of the music gets on my nerves (the chanting and stuff)

(ANIMATION 9/10) The animation is great for a TV series. I noticed a couple glitches, but most of the animation is clear and cool! ^___^

(DUB 8/10) The dub is ok. It's one of the better dubs I've seen out there, other than Bebop. There are a few mistakes, but nothing major. The subtitles are great. I didn't notice any spelling errors at all.

(OVERALL 9/10) This is one of the best. I reccommend it to anyone. I'd rate it 12 and up because of violence, a confusing plot, and some butt-shots of a very ugly blue dude.

Now, put your hand on the mouse. Good. Now move the mouse down to the 'buy' button. Good. Now click. GOOD.

Summary: Deeper than you might expect...
Review: When I saw the DVDs at stores, I thought it was a girl love trip done in the "sojo" style. I'm glad I'm wrong. The series has brilliant artwork, music, plot, politics, and for some of you, great mecha design. The plot is a lot deeper than it seems. The politics are extremely deep and add a sense of urgency to the series the situations inflict emotional stress on the characters. There is a lot of "mushy" love stuff in the series, but it's well carried out and brings something to the series that is neccisarry. All in all, Escaflowne is a true to itself throughout the entire series. Three times as good the second time you watch it through (as you notice how the revelations at the end hold true in the beginning), it is a gem. It ranks in (what I consider) to be the top four series of all time, the other members being: Bebop, Trigun, and Evangelion (even though the ending is terrible).

Watch this series!

Summary: Escaflowne
Review: The Vision of Escaflowne is easily in my TOP FIVE favorite anime series ever created. First billed as an anime for girls, it's developed a HUGE fanbase for both genders and ALL ages. This series has everything: Romance, Action, Suspense, Horror... you name it. Whether it's spies or thick-storytelling... this is for you.--- As for this specific set... it is exactly as it's described EXCEPT that it does have both English and Japanese voices, selectable through the main menu. The action figure is easily worth the purchase price of this set alone. The extras seem to be lacking in a few areas, but makes up for it with a great presentation and nice packaging. Not to mention the Limited number of these sets made. Mine is #05642. I highly recommend this set to any anime fan, it is a must-have for ANY collection.

Summary: Escaflowe- the epic fairy tale
Review: Escaflowne is one of those series that leaves you hanging after every episode. I saw the first time on Fox Kids, but when they took it off, i got the videos. Now individually the videos are really expensive, so get the box edition, you'll probably save a lot of money... i know i wished i had. Anyway, the anime itself is amazing. I particularly like it because it resembles a fairy tale and i'm a big fairy tale/myth person. The characters are very well developed. I mean i have some favorite characters, but if i told you who and why, it would give away the plot and series

Summary: Fixed in my mind...
Review: The beauty of this series was found in its unparalleled blend of all the qualities that make any story intriguing and powerful. A cerebral plot coupled with fascinating, highly-developed characters, mechas, action, chivalry, and romance, Escaflowne has proved to be a series from which I found I could not tear away.
As a Christian, I found the tarot-cards highly offensive, and believe that would be a poor influence on all but the strongest of heart.
However, the emotional, appropriate and enthralling music, characters, and dazzling art make this anime a classic whose equal is hardly to be found.
