Summary: How could you not love this movie?
Review: This is by far one of the greatest anime movies I have ever seen. This is one of those movies that reinforces an anime lovers conviction and converts all the scoffers. I saw it subbed and can't wait to get my hands on an english version. The plot is intriguing and the action sequences are outstanding. You must see this movie.

Summary: Bebop on the big screen
Review: I've waited patiently for a few years, now for this to be released in America. Having stepped into an ost completely empty theater upon it's opening day, today, I was amazed. This plays like a two hour long episode of Bebop, and they take a little bit of everything from the series, and roll it into this film. You get the humor, martial arts, killer gunfights, and aerial firefights. All executed with utter mastery, this film was made well before 9/11, but this is really a sign of the times here. A lone terrorist "Vincent" is out to decimate the population, and his tactics are ruthless. Blowing up a chemical tanker on the highway, and spreading biological warfare on a crowded train. I really enjoyed how this plot touches so closely to what is happening in the world post 9/11, even though the "virus" itself was fictitious. I'd say Spike steals the show with this one, his character is poetry in motion. One minor gripe I have with this film was its ending. Having entered two characters, it didn't tie up loose ends as to what happened to everyone after the conclusion. Other than that, a flawless brand of futuristic anime virtuosity.

Summary: Bebop is back, after almost 4 years(they say)
Review: It has taken sunrise almost 4 years,(amt of time it seem to take to download)to bring it to the us shores and it is worth it to any bebop fan. After watching the show since 2001 (dubbed unfortunately) it became my favorite and my thankful enterance to anime. Dont think Akira is the standard this is primary the best of anime consist of. see the shows and the ending of the series before you see this. trust me and you will be on the bebop high of your life.

Summary: Like a two-hour episode
Review: I've seen this movie with subtitles and I'd have to say that if you're a fan of the show, this movie is for you. It's like all the best episodes rolled into one feature movie. The action is great, the story is just as twisting as the show, and faye is hotter than ever. Check this out if you have the chance.

Summary: Finally
Review: Yes. Cowboy Bebop in theatres. THIS IS THE MOMENT ALL ANIME FANS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR.
The Bebop film is a film that pretty much anybody can enjoy, anime fan or not. It is a very American styled film, and you can feel it through the entire movie. It features an Oscar worthy score by musical genius Yoko Kanno, and it has EXCELLENT english dubbing, possibly the best dubbed anime in existence. The movie contains its fair share of hand to hand combat, gunfights, and spaceship dogfights, and its not just all action, there is a great story that backs everything up, a story that in a way relates to the events of today: biological terrorism.
Such an experience should not be missed, especially in theatres.

Summary: Very Awsome
Review: The movie is so awsome. I gave it five stars due to it's awsome soundtrack, and great imagery. The movie takes place between episodes 22 and 23.
It's about a man named Vincent who pretty much wants to infect everyone on Mars with an deadly virus. He somehow survived when it was believed he died during a battle years earlier. The virus makes you see yellow butterflys before you die. The crew of the Bebop stumbles onto this puzzle, due to the bounty they were chasing, (whom Vincent kills) and become unwitingly entangled in this case.
Along the way, Spike meets up with this woman named Electra who is a part of a syndicate also looking for Vincent. She also knows Vincent from a past encounter. Spike constantly gets shot at by her while entering the compound she's in, trying to get information on the virus.
Faye, do to her um......"great" detective work, somehow finds Vincent, and corners him in an apartment only to become infected with the virus. When it seems she is to meet the same fate as their bounty, Vincent administers the cure at the last second. His blood. He leaves soon after.
Between getting shot countless of times, Spike always comes back, and punishes his attackers with twice the force. This movie is great, I loved it, and can't wait until it comes out on DVD. Even people who don't love anime like some of us, will definantly appreciate this movie. It's really worth seeing. Yoko Kanno composing the score, directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, what more can you ask for?

Summary: Great movie that compliments a great series.
Review: Cowboy Bebop is the saga of a group of bounty hunters and their lives aboard the Bebop. Spike is the tough, yet laidback main character. His partner is Spike, a former ISSP officer. The two formed a partnership aboard the Bebop. Next came Ein the Welsh Corgi data dog, then Faye Valentine, then Ed the teenage hacker. These characters make up the crew of the Bebop, the best group of bounty hunters in the universe although luck never really is on their side.

So with the background info out of the way, this movie takes place right around episode 24 in the series.(SPOILER**) It begins with Faye going after what should have been a routine bounty pickup, but while out she witnesses a massive explosion. Many people miles away begin to get sick for some strange reason that may be linked to the explosion and a man that Faye saw at the scene of the explosion. What ensues is an action packed movie dealing with the threat of terrorism. Spike and the crew discover that they are dealing with a man named Vincent Volaju that was presumed to have died in a war. But he is alive and he has a plan to take out the human race by the use of nano-bots that can't be seen by the human eye. Can the Bebop crew stop Vincent and save Mars from destruction? Watch to see how this one ends, I wont say.

Overall I love this movie. Maybe I am slightly biased because I am a huge fan of the series. In anime nothing is better than Bebop, at least in my mind. This movie perfectly compliments the series, unlike most movies that take more of your money. For any fan of Bebop you have to own this along with the series. Honestly I think CBTM is as good as any movie of any kind that I have seen in the last few years. It has a believable plot, with the serious topic of terrorism which we now deal with in our world every day. The movie is just under 2 hours I believe, but it never drags. The whole storyline flows smoothly from beginning to end and I never became bored the longer the movie went on. So let us sum this up: great cast of characters, lots of action (specifically the magnificent fight scenes between Vincent and Spike), wonderful animation and lastly it is just plain cool. And I mean everything about it. You can usually find it for a not-too-bad price. There are some cool extras included, but it isnt "loaded" like you would think special edition would be. This is a great movie bottom-line, with a great but complex theme, and features the coolest character in anime, Spike Spiegel. If you have never watched the series that is okay, you will still catch on to the storyline pretty quick. Not much backstory is required to understand what is going on. And if you are not into anime at all, I think this is a movie that can even be enjoyed by you, it is just that good. So check it out if this sounds like your thing. But beware, you may want to buy the whole tv series after seeing this if you don't already have it, because it will leave you wanting more.

Summary: Wow
Review: Im usually not a fan of animated shows like this, considering that in all honesty the majority of these Japanese shows and films consist of corny childrens shows or even more corny shows of cliched personas going around shooting people alongside of slutty girls with cat ears and/or gigantic breasts. Im not to waste time or money on crap like that. And for everyone who thinks that if something is animated that it must be for kids has appearently never seen any japanese films becuase if they did im sure they wouldnt let their kids near it. But dont let the R rating worry you too much. This isnt one of those pornographic films japan seems to love so much. No, its simply like a regualar american film, just animated. Theres some violence, but its used in good moderation and the nudity isnt too bad. Faye gets her shirt cut off by one of the guys, and there is a scene of her in the shower, but trust me, you dont actualyl see anything innaproprait. I enjoyed the fact that the film was done maturly and stylish, and the animation seems to make it even cooler. To start, the animeation was AMAZING. Some of the best that exsists, im sure. And the visual effects were amazing, making you think that these characters were let loose in the real world and cameras were watching them. The story is one of those classic 'mr crazy bad man wants to destroy the entire world', but its done with such a differnt spin. the 'villan' is Vincent Volaji, a test subject who lost his memory from the experiments done on him. He believes that life is purgatory and his goal is to realease the world from this purgatory and to face judgement. The title 'Knocking on Heavens Door' is so perfect taht it couldnt have been better. the entire movie is based on vincent and as he calls it 'the door between heaven and hell.' Vincent's chracter is incredibly deep and philisophic and makes up for much of the amazing quality of the film. He was prbably my favorite part. The action scenes were increadibly well-cheoriographed, like they had been cut from Kill Bill or a Jackie Chan movie. Even if you dont like this kind of thing im sure you could find something you could like. This isnt a disney movie and this isnt a pokemon movie either, so keep that in mind.

Summary: Brilliant anime movie!
Review: In the near future somewhere on Mars, a cowboy ( a.k.a. bounty Hunter) named "Spike" with his team of bounty hunters are persuing a deadly foe that had released a virus from a chemical truck that can almost destroy everyone. On Halloween, this foe plans on releasing it all over the city, only Spike with his crew called "Cowboy Bebop" can stop him.

An action packed, visual and entertaining animated knock-out based on the excellent anime series with the same name, the animation is great and so are the visuals. The story could have been better, but this is loaded with great action, the jazzy soundtrack is terrific and outstanding futuristic imagery. This is one of the best animes i've ever seen, it's also a great DVD chockfull of extras like Trailers, Featurettes, music videos, and more, this is a definite must own movie for anime lovers and lovers of Sci-fi.

Also recommended: Akira, Ghost in the Shell, The Professional: Golgo 13, Ninja Scroll, Spirited Away, Total Recall, Blade Runner, Metropolis ( 2001 anime version), The Matrix, From Dusk Till Dawn, Pulp Fiction, Heavy Metal, Rock and Rule, American Pop, Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend, Treasure Planet, The Fifth Element, Dark City, Blade, X-Men, Spider-Man, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Evangelion movie trilogy, Utena: The Movie, Spriggan: The Movie.

Summary: Anime sure to please...
Review: "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie" is a fun anime feature that will please fans of the genre as well as fans of action and sci-fi. Taking place in the distant future on Mars, the film tells the story of a group of rogue "cowboys" looking to make an honest (or dishonest) buck. When a bioterrorist is lurking the planet, a bounty of $3 million is put on his head. Our heroes, led by Spike, race to collect the money. It's fast, funny, and very enjoyable with rich animation and interesting characters. Overall a very fun pick.
