Summary: Stupid movie, very boring
Review: I am a big fan of anime and was extremely dissapointed by the lack of action and suspense in this movie. See Ninja scroll

Summary: A very good anime
Review: This is a very well done anime, and the DVD format really enhances the animation, and the extras are pretty cool. Some people might find the film boring because it is not nonstop action and the plot may be confusing. These people probably should not be watching this film anyway, as it appeals to a more intelligent audience. If you are looking for mindless violence, I suggest looking for something along the lines of Fist of the North Star. I strongly recommend Ghost in the Shell to those looking for an anime that makes you think, and still contains some cool action scenes. Before my 1,000 words are up, I would suggest watching the movie subtitled to better understand the story.

Summary: Most boring anime I've seen
Review: Never understood why this movie was so popular. Sure it has some pretty cool artwork, I'll give it that, but I've tried to watch this movie 3 times and fell asleep to it in the first 15 min! Story is very boring and confusing letting the viewer lose interest. I rate this 2 stars at most cause of the good artwork but thats it! There are better ones out there! Try "Ninja Scroll"!!!

Summary: Ummm... It was interesting...
Review: My brother and I are a huge fans of Anime. So when we sat down to watch this movie, we were excited. We saw the whole movie, and the first reaction was "huh? wat just happened?" I have to admit that this was not the best anime I ever saw.

Summary: out-standing !
Review: there are enough reviews already - but watching the epic scenes and listening to the haunting soundtrack made it obvious that a reviews can not describe the true fascination which I feel watching this movie (over and over again)

Summary: Hardly horrible.
Review: One of the best science fiction movies I have seen in a long time. I wish the dubbed English had been more animated (no pun intended), but I found the plot interesting and the animation excellent. Worth a look, should you have the chance.

Summary: completely breathtaking!
Review: One of the best animes and movies ever made. It is everything I would expect from Manga and the makers of Akira. Ghost in the Shell has some of the most visually amazing animation I have ever seen, and I've seen quite a lot. This movie just doesn't seem to get old like other animes do, I have watched it three times in the past three days. If you like anime at all,buy it now!

Summary: Better than most movies!
Review: I can't get enought of this movie. Mesmerizing

Summary: The best anime film since Akira
Review: Not since Akira has anime movies been so good. The storyline may confuse you in some parts, but overall, it's the best anime movie of the 90's. The animation isn't as silky smooth as The Wings of Honneamise, and as stylish as Ninja Scroll, but when you compare Ghost in the Shell to these two, the animation looks pure 21st century. Congratulations to the producers of Akira for making another great futuristic anime movie.

Summary: This is why I bought a DVD Player!
Review: When I heard that Ghost in the Shell was coming out on DVD, my decision to by a player was cemented. I had seen Ghost in theatres, owned the VHS version, but it just wasn't enough. I had to have the best possible copy of this movie available, and I was not dissapointed. I always thought the VHS looked pretty darn good, but when I compared the two I was blown away by the clarity of the animation on DVD. The sound was equally perfect. And having the option to listen to the original Japanese dialogue was also a plus. This is the film that shows off just how good a DVD can look, and should be seen by all anime fans this way.
