Rating: Summary: Fudal Fairytale or Tragic Romance Review: 5o years ago(keeping in mind that this happened 50 years in fudal Japan not modern day Japan)The half demon Inuyahsha was pinned to a tree by the beautiful priestess Kikyo who died later from her wounds after Inuyasha tried to steal the sacred jewel of the four souls. Kikyo's younger sister Kaede burned her body with the jewel so no other demons or half demons searching for power could get it and for hundreds of years the jewel and Inuyasha slept. Fast forward to modern day Japan Kagome is an average girl with every day girl problems that is until she falls into a well and is attacked by a giant centipede like demon who is later repelled by a strange light glowing inside of her. When Kagome comes out of the well she ends up in fudal Japan. Looking around she spies a strange boy with dog ears compelled to touch them she goes closer and realizes they are really his. Her curiosity gets the best of her and she removes the arrow which brings Inuyasha back to life and his only impulse is question as to why kagome(who looks similar to kikyo)is wearing such strange clothing. Later on Kagome is attacked by the same centipede who tried to kill her befor. Inuyasha sensing what it wants slays it only to go after Kagome herself. Despite all of these events Inuyasha continued to hang around Kagome to steal the jewel which was recently removed from it's housing in her body. However things became difficult when a crow ate the jewel and Kagome believed to be Kikyo's reincarnation hit it with an arrow shattering the jewel into pieces. Now they are on a journey to recover them all. However it seems that underneath all of this there has been a really powerful demon known as niraku who was the one that turned Kikyo and Inuyasha against each other by impersonating both of them and turning their love to hate. However he's come out of the wood work and intends to finish off Inuyasha once and for all. Along on their journey they meet shipo a young fox demon whose father was killed,Miroku the lecherous monk who's family niraku plagued with a strange hole in their hand that when uncovered sucks up any object in range and will eventually kill him unless he kills niraku not to mention he can't keep his hands off the female backside, and last but not least Sango the last of her family which was a highly trained group of demon slayers and her demon cat kilala who can change size. Will they succeed in their quest or perish trying. A good plot and interesting storyline make this a good anime not to mention a good end theme for season 1.
Rating: Summary: REAL episodes are... Review: I did a LOT of research. Found out from the actual distributor that the episodes on this DVD are:Ep. 55 Stone Flower and Shippo's First Love Ep. 56 Temptress in the Mist Ep. 57 Fateful Night in Togenkyo, part 1 Everone else is a little confused. No wonder! The don't list the episodes in the description OR on the box front anymore. Hope this helps.
Rating: Summary: ^_^X Review: I loved this dvd! Starts off with Fateful Night In Togenkyo, Part 1, Fateful Night In Togenkyo, Part 2, then Beautiful Sister Apprentices. In the first episode Inuyasha goes after a sage (called the peach man in the manga, its really out of order!)and turns into a human! Then in the second episode it finishes with that part (hehe, no spoilers...). Then in the third episode Sango meets two girls at the demon exterminator village and they ask her to teach her the demon-slaying arts. enjoy!!

Rating: Summary: InuYasha Volume 19: Way to Wisdom Review: InuYasha rocks and this DVD shows that there is more to the Tetsusaiga than the Wind Scar(the move Inuyasha learns one of the earlier episodes). One of the episodes also shows the conflict between InuYasha's dad and the imprisoned demon. This DVD rocks!!!

Rating: Summary: Listen closely, young grasshopper Review: The Way to Wisdom (episodes 55-57) is a nice, if brief, departure from the nonstop action of the last couple of volumes. Now that Inu Yasha has succeeded in making the Tetsusaiga lighter and learning the Backlash Wave, the focus shifts from him to the secondary characters for a couple of episodes.
'The Stone Flower and Shippo's First Love,' as its title might suggest, focuses on Shippo, giving him the spotlight for once. We get a better feel for the character--after all, he's just a kid but seldom gets the chance to, well, be a kid; plus, he harbors insecurities about the fact that he's not as strong or useful as his older, bigger companions. Aside from how Shippo sees himself, we get to see how the other characters see him too.
'Temptress in the Mist' tells the story of a princess who became an energy-stealing demon after dying a lonely death. We all know beautiful princess (even a demon one) equals Miroku up to his old tricks, but Sango, dealing with feelings she's not sure she's ready to admit, sticks by him to help him out. Another nice change after all the focus on Inu Yasha and Kagome and what they may or may not feel for each other.
'Fateful Night in Togenkyo, Part I' shifts back into cliffhanging action mode when the night of the New Moon comes just as the group accidentally stumbles onto a jewel shard being (once again) put to misuse.
All in all, this volume offers some choice episodes (though it ends, frustratingly, on a cliffhanger, but it's not like that's anything new) and some development to characters who aren't Inu Yasha and Kagome. A must for any fan.
Rating: Summary: Way to Wisdom: DVD 19 Review: This DVD cannot have episode 54 on it because that episode is on DVD 18. This DVD probably has episodes 55-57 on it. We'll see when they finally get a picture up for it.
