Summary: A Good DVD
Review: In this DVD, Heero finally gets the Wing Zero. The opening is also changed to the second opening. The title menu is also different from the first 6 operations. The video quality is good and so is the stereo. The episodes on this DVD are also full of action.

Summary: Great series
Review: INTRODUCTION:
Ever since the late seventies, the Gundam series has been one of the most successful and widely-loved anime series in the world. It has become a favorite of many over the years. There have been several different sub-series over the years, and one of the most popular ones of which is the Wing series, released in the mid-nineties. This is a DVD featuring episodes fromt that series. Read on for my review.

BASIC PLOT:
The Gundam Wing series follows the exploits of five young men who pilot mobile suits against the forces of an organization seeking world domination. There's Heero (the main man), Duo (the cool guy), Trowa (the quiet guy), Quatre (the peace-lover), and Wufei (the overconfident hothead.) The battle rages on for forty-nine episodes, and as the series progresses, a number of plot twists keep things interesting. This is a rare example of a series where the characters aren't paper thin - they continue to evolve as the series progresses. This is one of the best anime series out there, as one of the best mecha series.

SERIES OPINIONS:
To put it simply, this is an excellent series. Many fans of the Gundam series call this the best sub-series of all, and honestly, who can blame them? The storyline is great, the animation is great, the characters are great - everything about this series is great. It's good to see the series get a long overdue DVD release in America.

DVD:
These DVDs are good, because they contain several uncut episodes, but they're bad in that they don't contain any special features (that is, other than the very basic DVD stuff.) The series is one of the greatest anime series out there, but don't expect any bonus material.

OVERALL:
Overall this is an excellent anime series, and I recommend it to any anime or mecha fan. If you like either one, this series will not disappoint.

Summary: Epyon vs Wing Zero.......
Review: The eighth collection of Gundam Wing episodes are here and now things are really starting to heat up. With only a few epsiodes left, the story kicks into overdrive with the fall of the Sanc Kingdom, the continuation of Zechs' and Heero's earlier duals (in Epyon and Wing Zero no less), and Trowa's getting over his amnesia.

Also of note is the nice artwork on the case with a white Taurus and Noin, Dorothy, Relena, and Zechs on the cover...very nicely done and more appealing than the previous artwork for the first 7 DVD's. As witnessed in Operation 7, the menus have changed with the Rythym Emotion opening music playing in the background, but the actual opening music is still Just Communication. We have to wait until Operation 9 for the Rythym Emotion opening. For some reason, the audio seems cleaner than the first 7 DVD's...no complaints. Gundam Wing is turning out to be a worthy anime.

Summary: Some of the better epsiodes
Review: The first episode "Sanc Kingdom's Calapse" is exactly as it sounds. When Quatre heads back to the Sanc Kingdom with his Sandrock, accompanied by the Maquanac Core, Romefeller decides to destroy the SAnc Kindom. After some intense battle, Relena surrenders to the foundation, yet Heero continues to fight the mobile dolls in the Epyon. In "Wing Zero Vs. Epyon", we get a sweet fight between Zechs and Heero, but the best part is the introduction of the newest faction, the White Fang. Tuberov is taken hostage, but ends up getting killed when Wu Fei interviens. Zechs and Heero also exchange Gundams. In "The Birth of Queen Relena" we start out with Duo meeting up with Quatre and then Quatre finally meets the amnesia Trowa. Despite Kathy's attempts to comfort him, Trowa decides to head back out and fight. At the end of the episode, Relena makes her proposal for the World Nation. In "Trowa's Return to the Battlfield", Quatre, Noin and Trowa are attacked by OZ, but Duo comes in to help. Meanwhile Heero makes his own plan's to kill Relena. In "A New Leader", Duke Dermail finds himself in dire straights when Relena starts making Romefeller's desicions. To counter this, he heads out to uprise his military in space. Unfortunetly, the White Fang's captured ship, Libra, is attacked by Wu Fei. Once Wu Fei is blown back, the White FAng announces war on Earth by Millardo Peacecraft (aka Zechs). And to start off this war, the White Fang ambushes Duke Dermails transport and he is killed. Menus are pretty much the same as well as extras. Except on this disc, we get a synphosis on the SAnc Kingdom rather than a bio. Not all that exciting, but different. Overall, a much more pleasent volume with a lot taking place within it.

Summary: Epyon rules
Review: The first episode (Sanc Kingdom's Collapse) is, in my opinion, the coolest episode out of the entire series (but then, I'm a serious Epyon fan). I watch that episode several times in a row every now and then, because the ending just plain ROCKS!! The Zero vs Epyon duel in the next episode is pretty rockin, too. There is also a lot of great stuff in the rest of the disk, plot-wise. All in all, this is one disk that needs to be in every Gundam Wing collection.

Summary: Epyon vs. Zero
Review: The two gundams has a lot in common. They make the pilot ruthless and he'll destroy any and all enemies in his path. Zechs and Heero battle in the two gundams. Meanwhile, Relena surrenders to the Romfellar (spelling?) Foundation, which is attacking the Sanc Kingdom. Romfellar offers Relena to be the spokesperson of the foundation, and make her "Queen Relena"
Quarte finds Trowa in the circus. Quarte is dumbfounded as he learns that Trowa doesn't remember him or any of the other gundam pilots. Trowa doesn't even remember piloting a gundam himself!
This is extremely late in the series, and if you didn't watch it from the beggining, it doesn't make any sense as the story jumps to one character to the other rapidly.
