Summary: Don't get this confused with 0079
Review: Many gundam purists will dismiss the alternate continuities, and this is a shame, because as they go, Wing is actually pretty good. It is miles better than G-Gundam, and I would say even better than 0080 (UC continuity). The characters can be a bit weak at times, but they work well as a cast. If you want a good action anime with great mech design, you could do worse than Gundam Wing.

Summary: Bow to the great king of anime.
Review: Gundam wing is the greatest anime I've ever seen.I saw lots of other great anime such as Neon Genesis,The castle of Caligostro,Cowboy Bebop and more but notging come even close to the greatness that gundam wing interduces.

If you like non stop action you wont be dissapointed. If you like story and Philasophy you won't be dissapointed either. The only flaw is the repeated scenes but It wont bother you much.

Summary: Gundam Wing= Best Anime Ever!!!!
Review: If yuo like anime, you'll love this. I had a tough time trying to figure out wether this or dbz was better but now, there is no doubt in my mind that this totally kicks dragonball z's [rear-end]. Gundam wing is set in thwe future in which we have space colonies. During each moment there is war because the colonies & earth can't get along. Then all hell breaks loose when not even the powers of earth can get along. 5 gundams are sent to earth to defeat the tyrant of power, OZ. The whole series is indeed about politics, war, and how true peace can never come as long as earth is alive. I can't really explain the series all that well and i'm probab;y confusing you, so read another persons review if yuo have to. Or just just see the show and you'll be hooked. I got the complete collection for christmas and am so freakin happy cuz this anime rocks. The artistry, and action are beautiful but the whole Story and basically the plot puts on the final touch to the best show ever.

Summary: Gundam Wing is excellent!
Review: Some of The reviews of the series here apperently made by rigid fans of earlier Gundam series.Gundam Wing breaks with some styles of earlier Gundam series but for the most part the changes worked. Many Gundam fans feel any change is bad but you have to judge Gundam Wing a little less by what the other Gundam series had established and more on it's own merits. The other Gundam series has the feeling of war and a military chain of command, Gundam Wing has the feeling who freedom fighters hit and run wihout any military backing who pick and choose thier targets.Gundam Wing is a little different than the other gundam series but still great, judge it on it's own merits and vs. the other Gundam series pick the style you prefer.

Summary: An awesome anime series
Review: I first started watching Gundam Wing when it aired on Toonami. Ever since then I have been a di-hard fan. The storyline is that mankind has moved to the stars. Orbiting space colonies called sides have been erected. The Earth Sphere Alliance uses military dominance to opress the colonies. Five Gundams are sent out in response to this. OZ an organization that has masked its identity in the soldiers of the Alliance take this time to overthrow the Alliance and proclaim their own military might. Trieze Kushrenada leads the OZ and uses his power through the mysterios Romefeller Foundation. The series spans many a battle and puts Gundam against Gundam as the Five youngsters spread theyre wings. Truly a great and most entertaining series. Check it out!

Summary: The show with alot to live up to
Review: Gundam Wing is best known in the US for being Bandai's first real attempt to launch the show in the West. However, the show is largely considered one of the worst by long time fans, in direct conflict with the many younger fans who sing its praises. I prefer to be honest so hopefully my comments here will be unbiased. Wing does have certain interesting elements but unfortuanetly takes too much from the larger UC Gundam universe. The result is a show that feels like the first 3 UC shows and the first UC film were crammed into a 49 episode series. The series trys to feel like a gritty war drama like the earlier UC shows but also brings in some of the super robot from G Gundam. The result is a mess. It's hard to feel for characters that pilot such overpowered mechas. I often find myself cheering on the few ocasions OZ wins a fight due to how many of their soldiers are slaughtered by the Gundams.Charles Solomon writes "But Gundam fans aren't interested in tightly woven story lines or credible character arcs". But we are. That's why we love Gundam and why we feel Wing does not measure up to the shows that came before or after it. If you're already a Wing fan without any of the DVDs, then I'd suggest you buy this box. If you're new to the show, I suggest buying the first 2 or 3 DVDs. If you like what you see, return them and buy this boxset. If you don't, return them and try another Gundam show or anime.

Summary: Not Just For Anime Fans, So Take a Second Glance
Review: You pick up the video one day in the store, glancing at it slightly. But you place it back down, firmly telling yourself that it's just a cartoon/anime, only for kids. And then you walk away, congragulating yourself on proving your maturity by being above 'cartoons'.

Big mistake. Gundam Wing is definitley something that isn't just for anime fans. And it's not a show for little kids eating sugar-coated cereal early Saturday morning, annoying their parents with the fact that they are always up early on Saturdays, but never on schooldays. It is a deep anime which creates it's own sub-genre in the world of the mecha. It is about humanity and it's psychology, politics and war, even how crazy love can be. Don't judge it just because it is animated. This is way out of the league of such well-known titles like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh.

But just because I say it is more complex doesn't mean it slips into the troubles of having nudity and sex like some of the other deeper animes do. Gundam Wing is also a very clean anime in the sense that it avoids sexuality. The love expressed in Gundam Wing is more on the level of being crazy in how it occurs, not crazy as in passion and lust. It shows how you cannot choose whom you will fall for, you cannot control it. This is the basic dynamic on which Relena and Heero's relationship is developed.

I do not say much about the events of the series itself because I do not want to spoil it for you viewers. But I will leave on this last note, which may convince some of you remaining unconvinced: my father, a middle-aged man who does not like the Japanese or their anime watches this series. He happened to wander into the TV room whilst I was watching an episode, and sat down on the sofa reading a book. He ended up looking up from the book because of the dialogue which had been going on, and ended up watching the rest of the episode. I told him I thought he might like this anime, and he agreed, saying that it seemed deeper than the anime he had seen (which basically has consisted of parts of Pokemon and Sailor Moon episodes) and has watched more of it since.

And now you have the last decision.

Summary: Military Theory & Human Nature
Review: The above are the two subjects that I think make Mobile Suit: Gundam Wing possible the best anime made available to the United States. The series features a wonderfully complex interweaving plot that features some things one would expect as well as many other surprises. In this respect it is a work of art. In this plot the writers have placed a beautiful work of scholarship into the subjects of military theory and human nature. My favorite part is the former as it features a fascinating discussion regarding how and why one should fight as well as a debate between total pacifism and total war. There are few things that I can cite as problems in the series, but I will note those that are present: the voice acting in the dub can be mediocre at times and there is indeed a great deal of stock footage. These weakness, however, do very little to detract from all the things with make this anime great.

Summary: Gundam!
Review: This is a great anime serise, it has good charachters and awsome action. My favorite charachter is Trowa, beacouse he is so silent and misteryious. Every episode has an awsome battle for people who like action. Its about five 15 year olds who are sent down from the space colonies the deystroy the evil OZ who is takeing over the space colonies. This serise is defferent from most gundam serise beca-I'll let you figure that out. If you saw this serise on cartoon network your missing out because it cut out alot. other serise cartoon net wor messed up are outlaw star and dragonball z, just a warning from a fellow anime fan. BUY GUNDAM WING!!!
