Summary: General Interest
Review: This is a great DVD,I think. I gave Outlaw Star a 4 because it is one of those shows that you either like or dont, theres no single reason to buy or not to buy this dvd. If you havnt seen outlaw star, watch it on toonami(cartoon network 12 AM),if you like it,youll love this.Mainly Anime lovers(otaku) will buy this, and some sci-fi lovers(mostly called treckies)too. I am both so this was a no-brainer for me.I'll lay out reasons why both parties will like it simply to fill up space.1)Otaku:Decent animation, dubbing aint bad, decent story line(will differ from other party) and that one special word all you Otakus love.....UNCUT.2)Trekkies: Good story line for sci-fi standards, japanese equivalent to Star Wars(or Star Trek),cool opening music, somwhat deep characters, space battles, bounty huntin',cyborgs, most of the humorouse parts are actually humorouse, and that one word all trekkies love......ORIGONALITYAll in all this a good buy,but dont expect youll get your fix with just 1/3........noooooooooo.

Summary: Greatest Anime Series Ever!
Review: Well, theres nothing more i can say about this series than its my favorite series of all time. The first episode, (which i first saw on Cartoon Network) drew me into the story. It had action, a plot, and an odd ending which made me want to see the next episode. If you havent done so already, buy this dvd. Hopefully, youll love it as much as I do.

Summary: Ego, Super Ego, and Id in Space
Review: Along with Cowboy Bebop, an excellent example of late 90's anime. Like many people I was first exposed to this series on Toonami, but I discontinued viewing it to purchase the non-edited DVDs so my experience wouldn't be censored. I was able to take in all the episodes within a few days after purchasing. I enjoyed it quite a bit and was saddened when it came to a conclusion, to say goodbye to the mythos. A combination road trip, journey of discovery this series dealt with family/team dynamics as well as philosophical questions about self and identity. Wrapped around prototypical ner-do-well Gene Starwind and his quest to make something of himself after being orphaned, we are also introduced to his 10 year junior partner Jim. They are joined by the construct Malfeena, who questions her existence while gamely driving their quest to her mythic birthright. Like the Freudian trinity, Gene's [Ego] is soon joined by his Id, the wild and tempestuous Aecia, and playing the Super Ego is the cool and in my opinion most compelling character, Suzuka the assassin. Hints and tid-bits of their histories are tossed out over the course of the journey. Overall, not as mature themed a series as Cowboy Bebop, but possessing of its own charms, not the least of which are the lovely ladies of the crew, and the cool villains which a hero must always rail against. Highly recommended.

Summary: Pleasantly surprised
Review: Mainly this review is to get my rating in. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked the first episodes, being burned on one too many hype campaigns featuring reviewers with rubber stamps. Too many modern series have a lame, silly twit for a male lead; this one seems like he knows where he is, despite his phobia, which in itself is well explained and very rational...

The only qualms I have were developed towards the end when the Outlaw star launched in her red fighting paint and started grappler fighting. It left me with doubts about fleshing out my collection with others. One of the banes of my existence are the silly, frivilous mecha combats polluting what could otherwise be decent series. The violence was generally toned down until this; there were no "heros"; and the lead character, when faced by an indominable foe offered up that age old tactic of RUNNING FOR IT; and the between times offered up a bit of human story.

Very human. Very nice. Up to the glitzy sword and gun toting spaceship combat. If the series develops into more robots fighting in space, I'll probably avoid buying any more...

Summary: I really enjoyed this DVD
Review: This is a really great deal! You get nine episodes on this DVD, which are uncut, unlike when they had it on Cartoon Network. I really enjoyed the show on CN, so I bought this and they did cut alot out. I recommend this to fans of Cowboy Bebop and other space animes.

Summary: Nice Start for the Anime Space Genre
Review: Outlaw Star has a very, very promising start. It's fast paced, full of action, a likable hero, and his wisecracking sidekicks. The plot isn't too bad. It's about two pals, Gene Starwind and Jim Hawkings, who run an oddjob like business, where they will do anything for cash. Gene is a lady's man kind of guy, also a well known bounty hunter. Jim is an eleven-year old genius who's a whiz at the computer board. Their everyday lifestyle changes when they receive a message from a woman named Rachel. She wants Gene to be her bodyguard for some reason. Little does Gene know is that Rachel turns out to be Hot Ice Hilda, a bounty hunter known throughout the galaxy. They end up stealing a ship called the Outlaw Star, also taking an android girl named Melfina. On their journey, they run into space pirates, more bounty hunters, assasins, Ctarl Ctarls, and an assortment of characters from their past.

Summary: Outlaw Star is the law of the stars!.............word!
Review: Hey if you like shows this show is good. No joke man! It's a good
show. If I could rate Outlaw Star then I would rate it good, very good. Outlaw Star has funny parts in it that will make you laugh because they're so funny. Gene Starwind is a clever guy.
He is nice to his friends although he acts mean towards them.
I like Genes magic using gun! The outlaw Star is a cool name for
a spaceship! He says funny things through out the shows. I think
everyone should see it. Everyone will like it as well.
Thanks .

Summary: Outlaw Star (a must see for Anime fans)
Review: This Review Can be seen for the Outlaw Star Dvd collection 1-3. I am writing a review for the WHOLE series.

Outlaw Star tells the tale of Gene Starwind and Jim Hawking. Who inevitably end up leaving there home planet and getting caught up in a race for the Galactic Layline. On there way they will meet lots of friends and enemies such as Melfina, the McDougal Bros., Aisha Clan Clan of the Ctarl Ctarl, Sazukie Twilight and a whole bunch more in this action series from bandai that keeps you laughing while it delivers great action. What is the Galactic Layline? Well people say that at the Galatic Layline can be found a great treasure. But if you wanna know more you'll have to get the dvd's (or the tapes). Outlaw Star can also be seen on the Cartoon Networks Toonami (although they cut a bit). Anyway I hope this review was helpful. Be sure to check out my review of the Outlaw Star spinoff, Angel Links.

Summary: Outlaw Star; one of the best Anime's to date.
Review: This Anime isn't bad, it's good! In fact, it's great. I don't own any of these Anime DVD's, but I'm trying to get enough money to. I've read reveiws and seen the Cartoon Network show (Edited :P), and I'm pretty hyped up about the whole thing.

Here's the scoop for those of you who have never heard of this Anime before. This is one of the best Anime's created, number three in my list, and will keep you on the edge of your seat, or whatever your sitting on. The only thing is that I don't like when the "Next Episode" things. I know it creates anxiety to see the next episode, but I don't want to know, really.

The amount of characters that there are is great. It gives the whole thing a great variety of how people effect each other. The tragedy, nudity(:)), and a great story line.

So, if you want a good Anime, get Outlaw Star!

One thing I will add is that if you have played Traveller or any of the other Sci-FI RPGs, you'll get a real kick out of this show. Isn't the first challenge of any champaign to steal a cool starship?
