Rating: Summary: A great series Review: I watched the first couple episodes without much interest initially. At first, I didn't really like the Jazz/Western feel the opening theme gave me. As I slowly proceeded through the series, I had then decided it was one of my favorite animes of all. The characters were great and very deep. Find a way to watch this if you enjoy anime. Also, regarding the upcoming Cowboy Bebop movie in Japan (coming in a couple weeks from now), the story takes place in between two earlier episodes. I believe they were eps 22 and 23, or maybe 23 and 24. *Spoiler* <soSpikeWillBeInTheMoviealive> *Spoiler*
Rating: Summary: I'm Reviewing the Entire Series Review: I am a fan of Anime in general and I found that I really wasn't taken with Cowboy Bebop. I found the plot and story lame and from episode to episode didn't really stick to the story as a whole unlike some of the others I've watched. I really didn't like any of the characters in it and to top it off the ending was so darn depressing. Now mind you I don't mind tragic endings, and that alone wouldn't have put me off. The problem is I found Bebop to be rather boring through most of the episodes and really only found a few that I enjoyed (the one about the mushrooms was good). In general though I really couldn't recommend this series. I would suggest renting it frist before deciding to buy.
Rating: Summary: Cowboy Beebop is the best there is Review: Admittedly the most depressing installment, Cowboy Bebop is the best in Animated adventure...
Rating: Summary: see you space cowboy Review: a very few real-folks movies are as thrilling, adventurous, sardonically humorous and emotionally tearing as this. definitely, a gem in the japanimation-verse. &this said, there is not much more to add. so buy it, see it, drill it, and. love it.
Rating: Summary: The Pinnacle of the Visual Form Review: I have 3 episodes left to watch and I'm afraid to see it end. I have tears welling up just anticipating the inevitable climax. I haven't been this emotionally attached to a show since Star Trek: The Next Generation, and that show lasted nearly 200 episodes. Cowboy Bebop has more style in it's worst episodes than anything on television at the moment. The animation is beautiful, the story is meaningful, the action intense, the humor always clever. This is the Sistine Chapel of animation. Buy it, for the love of all that is good in the world.
Rating: Summary: BEWARE! The scene selection menu RUINS a MAJOR plot point!! Review: If not for this irritating fact, I would have given it 5 stars. Do yourself a favor and watch the whole DVD without going to the scene selection menu the first time you watch it. The rest of the reviews pretty much hit it right on the nose, this is a great ending to a great series, get it now!
Rating: Summary: Nothing more to say, just be patient. Review: If you guy are feeling lost for its over, you may be a little bit cheered up for this . The film version would be release in summer within this year...in Japan. TV series is in fact good enough. I just hope the film version wouldn't make Spiker back to live. Seldom of the film could make a better one than the previous, sigh. See you in space.
Rating: Summary: Graet Enading to a Great Series Review: Not since the last four episodes of Evangelion have i been affected so much by an anime. This last DVD is a must for all fans of anything, hell you don`t even have to buy the whole DVD series, just get DVD 1,3, and 6 and you have the basic series (these are the episodes that were shown on TV in Japan).
Rating: Summary: Don't buy this DVD Review: if you don't cope with great stories ending, particularly if you can't stand it when they don't end happily. I loved this whole series. It is bold, clever, funny, emotionally involving, thoughttful, action-packed, and graced with both beautiful animation and music that is integral to creating the mood for each scene. This disk brings the story of the Bebop's crew to a gut-wrenching finish. Like others who have reviewed this disk here I was left feeling empty after it was over. I went through the disk, hoping to find some nudge-nudge-wink-wink indication that it wasn't really over. I suppose it is only the truly great works that draw you in, leave you wanting more and with a sense of loss after it is well and truly finished. Some have complained that the ending is predictable. I would argue that it is more inevitable than predictable. Tidy, happy endings don't characterize any of the sessions' endings, and the conclusion to the final session becomes apparent early on. The power and artistry of this series is made most obvious as you are still captivated as you watch the inevitable played out before you. Storytelling like this is rare outside of the written form. Cowboy Bebop is well worth the time to watch.
Rating: Summary: A great piece of work Review: When i first bought bebop, i really have to say that i was stunned by what i bought. The animation was excellent. The CG was just as good. But the story and excution of it was the icing on the cake. With Session 1-5 you thought you were watching something special. But with Session 6 you have perfection. The emotional impact of the the of the last two The Real Folks Blues will have you wiping a tear from the ole eye. In with the quirky and stylish Brian Scratch. This disk stands out from the rest but only by a tiny, tiny bit. Too bad something great had to end : (
