This inane mecha adventure stumbles to an ending that is more cliffhanger than conclusion as the three women who are descendants of the ancient Holy Virgins of Eternal Mazalia (very few people count virgins among their ancestors) do battle with various Devil Dragons. There are invocations, threats, curses, battle cries, and blows. None of it makes any sense, but it doesn't need to: the story only exists as a vehicle for the fan service jiggle shots of the overendowed, underclad cast. The photographer-father of one of the girls sets the tone for the OAV series when he asks his daughter's friends to pose nude for him. Dangaizer was obviously conceived as a longer story, and the four parts that were animated could easily have fit on a single disc. Viewers who are not hormonal adolescent boys will search in vain for redeeming value. (Rated 16 and older: violence, nudity, profanity, tobacco use) --Charles Solomon
