Summary: Ouch...
Review: If you don't mind lots of nudity and fan service in your anime this is the right one for you. This movie is really more of a teaser to the television series. Something more to wet your appetite than anything else. The characters are already developed and their special skills already learned. On the other hand the comedy is out there. They make so much fun of themselves it's ridiculous. Lots of fun!!

Summary: Slapstick anime at it's best

Summary: Funniest thing I've ever seen
Review: Maze is a young woman whos' house falls through time and space into a world on the brink of being conquered by an evil kingdom called Jina, Maze meats a young princess named mill who can summon a giant mecha or "demi armor". Maze soon learns that who voyage has given her great powers through magic known as "phantom light" later she meets up with a wise man and 3 warriors, a man and 2 women(one of whom is a lesbian :-),oh and did I mention that by night maze turns into a lechorous man with no shame what-so-ever. Over all I would recomend this to anyone who enjoys Anime and doesn't mind scene after scene of gratuitist nudity.

Summary: Perfectly insipid
Review: Saying a particular program is bad anime is not to say that it's not a good watch; I sat mesmerized by how god awful Macross 2 was. Maze, however, physically cannot be watched - I got roughly 5 minutes into it before I had to turn it off and hide the DVD at the back of my collection. Take my advice - do NOT buy this.

Summary: Trying to stretch something that's already whacked out
Review: The 2-episode OVA deals with Maze and friends in the kingdom of Babylon. While it's only a single event in an RPG timeline, the producers decided to load this with tons of slapstick and fan service (hence the nudity and the quiz shows). Of course they could have toned it down (and removed the scene where male Maze raped Mix and turns out she liked it) Other than that you won't like the characters unless you watch the TV series. The concept is slightly different from Ranma because we have two different personalities inhabiting the same body (unlike Ranma who as a girl somehow retains his male preferences and attitude) An OVA should be a retelling of a TV series with fewer episodes and more artistry, but here they just went crazy. It's still watchable and enjoyable, but watch the TV series first if you don't want to be put off--they shouldn't have released this before the series. The 13up rating should be a 17up.

Summary: Great comedic fantasy fun! Addictive!
Review: This is fantastic! It had me laughing out loud at their comedic antics including some gender-bending confusion not dissimilar to Ranma 1/2. My only complaint was that it's too short! I want to see more! At least though the main story is wrapped up in that time. the animation is very well done & the action is a fluid pleasure to watch. Well paced comedy mixed with action that was thoroughly enjoyable. The subtitles were well done (timing good & print clear, easy to read) & so was the dubbing which fit the characters very well in my opinion. The bonus first episode of the television series was a great addition & also fun viewing that added more background information. It definitely leaves you wanting to watch more. With the intriguing places & even more interesting characters it's easily one of my new favourites as well as being addictive!

Summary: Looking for randomness? MAZE delivers.
Review: WAI! MAZE-The Mega-Burst Space is one of my top 10 fav. anime! ^_^v You can look @ other sites for a synopsis cuz' I'm lazy and don't feel like writing it out. Anyway, this DVD comes w/ the first episode of the TV series! (ie it makes the OVA more understandable). Dakedo, the TV episode is the original Japanese TV version! What's this mean? You say? Well, for some reason, MAZE has lots of fan-service. And when they played it on Japanese TV, they edited a little (usually they re-drew scenes). Then on the Japanese VHS&LD, they left it in it's original form. The reason they did this I presume was because the Slayers TV series' were pretty popular @ the time, and MAZE was created by the creators of Slayers. Since Slayers was popular with boys and girls ~5-13, they probably wanted to make MAZE appealing to the same crowd. Anyway, MAZE overall kicks. BUY IT NOW!!!!!! (also, the ending song for the TV series rocks...) *don't touch, JUNK BOY, dame!dame! lonely boy!*
