Summary: More great anime!
Review: I'm a rabid fan of anime and Gundam Wing is a fantastic series. For those of you who are only familiar w/ the series via Cartoon Network, the DVD series is well worth the money. Most anime is edited for the US market, so you definatly get more character development on the DVD. If you like GW but were dissapointed that the series wasn't longer (as I was), there are many other Gundam series and movies. Not w/ the same characters, but in the same general universe.

The only problem that I have w/ GW is the lack of serious character development, the pilots and the others are brought only so far. This leaves the viewer having to come up w/ their own conclusions for one too many a thing. If it weren't for that one thing I'd give GW 5 instead of 4 stars.

As for Operation 4, this is pretty crucial to understanding the series, a lot of questions are ansewerd in this volume, and it sets the stage for the next leg of the series. If you don't watch this volume you're going to be lost for a while in the next leg of GW, plus you'll have some unansewred questions.

Summary: Heero vs. Zechs: The Sorrowful Battle
Review: In the wastes of Antarctica, Heero and Zechs fight in a "meaningless" battle. Heero refuses to battle with his own gundam, and fights in Trowa's gundam. Relena finds out that Zechs is her long-lost brother. The battle stops shortly after that discovery.
The next stop is space. However, there is no glory or praise to the five gundam pilots returning to space. Instead, they are hated and feared by the colonies. Duo gets captured and his gundam is destoryed by Trowa, who is now an OZ solider it seems.
One of my favorite speeches is on this DVD, and is told by Heero.

Summary: Great series
Review: INTRODUCTION:
Ever since the late seventies, the Gundam series has been one of the most successful and widely-loved anime series in the world. It has become a favorite of many over the years. There have been several different sub-series over the years, and one of the most popular ones of which is the Wing series, released in the mid-nineties. This is a DVD featuring episodes fromt that series. Read on for my review.

BASIC PLOT:
The Gundam Wing series follows the exploits of five young men who pilot mobile suits against the forces of an organization seeking world domination. There's Heero (the main man), Duo (the cool guy), Trowa (the quiet guy), Quatre (the peace-lover), and Wufei (the overconfident hothead.) The battle rages on for forty-nine episodes, and as the series progresses, a number of plot twists keep things interesting. This is a rare example of a series where the characters aren't paper thin - they continue to evolve as the series progresses. This is one of the best anime series out there, as one of the best mecha series.

SERIES OPINIONS:
To put it simply, this is an excellent series. Many fans of the Gundam series call this the best sub-series of all, and honestly, who can blame them? The storyline is great, the animation is great, the characters are great - everything about this series is great. It's good to see the series get a long overdue DVD release in America.

DVD:
These DVDs are good, because they contain several uncut episodes, but they're bad in that they don't contain any special features (that is, other than the very basic DVD stuff.) The series is one of the greatest anime series out there, but don't expect any bonus material.

OVERALL:
Overall this is an excellent anime series, and I recommend it to any anime or mecha fan. If you like either one, this series will not disappoint.

Summary: Great Japanimation DVD
Review: This dvd comes with 5 key episodes of Gundam Wing Series, episodes 16 through 20. Here, you see the Gundam pilots go into space, and you see first hand the new Doll Mobile Suits the Oz organization made. To top it all off, at the end of episode 20... we'll I really can't tell you that, can I. Even if you watch the episodes on Cartoon Network already, it's still great to watch in full length DVD, entire episodes, either in English or Japanish, uncut. This is a must have, for any Gundam fans...

Summary: The Gundams Defeated!
Review: This DVD is a must have for any Gundam fan. Lady Une begins her travels throughout the space colonies to gain their support towards Oz and Romefeller. Meanwhile Oz kidnaps the Gundam Scientists and forces them to create new mobile suits. The Gundam pilots begin leaving for space and run into some trouble. Also Zechs and Heero have that battle that they have been promising each other. And if you hate Relena like I do, you will be happy to know that this DVD is almost Relena free!
