Summary: IT'S HERE! YES! DBZ FANS REJOICE!
Review: Finally Crapimation(funimation) has done something right! We finally Have DBZ subbed, nearly perfectly translated into english, I must say that it's a long long time coming though. Atleast we have perfect DBZ, hopefully they will translate Cha-La Head Cha-La and Zenkai power into english for the opening and ending of the show, anyway this DVD is great, I bought my DVD player just for these DVD's I can't Wait until the next DVD comes out!

Summary: Very nice try, FUNimation!
Review: We finally have perfectly subtitled Dragon Ball Z thanks to FUNimation. Video quality is perfect. Audio is not so good for the subtitled version, considering it's a DVD. The subtitled audio isn't nearly as clear as the dubbed audio; that's a shame. Besides this, the DVD is great: uncut, pure and original DBZ, the way nature intended. Buy it.

Summary: Funimation finally did something right!
Review: This DVD is awesome. It's got English and Japanese versions of these three DBZ episodes. Finally... clear subtitles (both Japanese AND English versions have subtitles!), clear pictures, and no sound distortion! For some reason, even the dubbed versions seemed better than what we are subjected to on Cartoon Network. Get this DVD and the others that will soon follow!

Summary: What diehard fans of this series wanted from the beginning.
Review: Finally, finally! That word pretty much sums up the release of this disc for me. I've been a Dragon Ball fan since the 1980's, and i've patiently waited, and prayed for the day when something like this would be widely avaliable to the English speaking market. Now that the day has come, I cannot put into words the feeling I have. The reason being, the time it actually took to get one of the best Animes series ever created over to this side of the Pacific. It's been almost 10 years since the episodes contained on this DVD, were first aired in Japan. And for true fans of this series, this disc is long, long overdue. Now for the quality of the content on the disc. Very good, considering this is the first of hopefully many of this type of disc in the series. Only minor problems with the disc, such as the absence of subtitles during Cha La Head Cha La (Introduction), and Zenkai Power (Closing). Also missing are the "last time on the show," and "next time on the show" segments. Which are not sorely missed because the episodes play back-to-back. But it begs the question, because of this deletion, why not include one or maybe even two more episodes on the disc? Or maybe some extras? I sincerly hope that all Dragon Ball discs from this point on have both language tracks, movies and OVA's included. But overall, I really can't fault this disc, except for the painfully long time it took to get to this market.

Summary: Subbtitled DBZ Is Here ! ! !
Review: We Z fans have finally gotten are wish granted. Finally, subbtitled DragonBall Z on DVD. I my self own the DVD and was pretty well known I spent my money on a good DVD. It even has the Japanese intro of "Cha-La Head Cha-La". What lacks for being a 5 /5 is the previews for the next episode for both the English & Japanese version which the DVD does not contain. Also, the DVD needs to have more graphics and other stuff to it to make it look good like movie DVD's with special features. Anyways, DBZ rules on DVD with the subbtitle. The English version is a bunch of garbage with their dialouge.

Summary: Finally...
Review: For the first time ever in DBZ history, the series is back to DVD...in a whole new way! This brand-new DVD version includes original Japanese version with English Subtitles and, of course, the Uncut Dubbed version. This is what fans have been waiting for for a very, very long time. Now that season 3 is drawing to a close for the upcoming season 4, rest assured you'll love these DVDs in months to come.

Summary: Finally........ DBZ HAS COME BACK TO DVD!
Review: Only one word describes this: Awesome! I dont think they have a word to describe this actually. First off, this DVD shows a huge amount of potential for what it can do for DBZ. It gives the hardcore anime fans (ME) the Japanese version with subtitles, and the newbies a chance to watch it uncut in English. The picture is crisp and clear, the audio is in a very clean digital transfer, and the translation is almost perfect!(The character name's are in the American spelling...grumble) The original openings and closing are included too. But, no special features is kinda dissapointing. BUY THIS! If we support the format, expect to see MANY more DVDs coming out rather fast. The next DVD comes out soon.... Double Cross(Unknown Date), and on VHS Assasins and Invincible(August 15, cut and uncut).

Summary: YOU MUST BUY THIS
Review: Please, if you consider yourself a true fan of Dragon Ball Z you MUST buy this DVD. If you do, FUNimation won't take six months to release the first Furiza (Frieza in the dub) DVDs. Finally, perhaps a few of the 'dubbies' will see the evils of the Dub and convert to the Japanese story. P.S., If you don't know who 'Son' is, you had better buy this!
