Description:
As she watches her physician stepfather administer first aid to disaster victims, Ibuki rediscovers her purpose and rejoins Akagi and Aoyama as a Dai-Guard pilot. The Public Relations Division 2 staff of 21st Century Defense Security faces their toughest challenge in the three linked episodes that form the final adventure. A gigantic Heterodyne settles above Tokyo, thrusting down root-like tentacles until it forms a vast dome over the city. Dai-Guard requires help from the Army's mecha Kokubogar to defeat the monster. But even this exceptional show of heroism fails to break the "salaryman" pattern: once the Heterodyne is destroyed, the crew goes back to filing reports, calculating fuel costs, and applying for insurance reimbursements. It's sad to see an entertaining series conclude, even on an upbeat note, but otoku can sleep easily as long as these office workers are saving the world.
