Shadow Raiders - Alliance Attack (Vol. 4)

Summary: A classic like this is well worth every dime!
Review: Currently this DVD is not out for sell yet, but do have it on pre-order, and have seen these episodes many times before when War Planets was originally aired.

These last episodes of the series has to do with the Alliance made up of planets Ice, Rock, Fire, and Bone, launching a final attempt to rid themselves of the Beast threat, they launch an attack directed at the Beast Planet, which turns out to have been hidden in their home-system's own sun. In the midst of the battle the Alliance find them heavily out-gunned and on the verge of defeat. The only way the tides of war are suddenly changed in the Alliances favor is when Graveheart's close friend Jade arrives with control over the two Battle Moons. (The Rock King's contribution to the war effort)

The entire War Planet's series has really impressed me, it has a tight and well-done storyline that is continually followed through throughout the series, each character's personality was well developed, and even though the heart of the story is about four planets merging to defeat a common foe in an all-out war, this series in each episode has a hidden message about morrals and a good lesson for any kid who watches this series.

I would highly recommend this to both kids and adults alike.

Besides, CLASSICS never dies!

Summary: A sweet climatic volume
Review: For those who have seen Shadow Raiders (or rather War Planets as it was called when it first aired) this is the DVD to savor. I guess you can call it the season finale. Here you have the new alliance finally going toe to toe with the Beast and the battles are huge. This kinda feels like Star Wars what with the giant mechanized moon and all the fighter ships fighting it out, only it's still pretty unique.

This is definitely a DVD to get if you're following the series, but I wouldn't recommend getting it if you haven't seen the previous disks. This is the disk that builds up everything you saw previously and then hits you with a few more surprises. As far as extras are concerned it's on par with the other DVD's: some brief tech files and 360 degree views of various things. No commentaries. No deleted scenes. No documentaries. Then again I wouldn't expect to get any of this anyway. This is one of those shows that got limited support so you take what you can get.
