Rating: Summary: i heard it sounds good Review: i've saw many reviews on lord slug the movie and some think it's stupid cause it's got some kiddie stuff in it i'm gonna buy the dvd of this movie if i see it i'm gonna like it because it's dragonball z and if i ever saw gohan and higher dragon dancing in it i wouldn't care i would think it's stupid to see them dance but hey dbz has got some sillyness in it
Rating: Summary: Save Your Cash and Skip Buying this Movie... Review: if i could give this movie a rating of Zero stars I would. Please save your hard earned cash and don't buy this dbz movie. The plot, storyline are weak and boring. If you must, go out and rent this dvd. Believe me, if your a diehard dbz fan like i am, you will be totally disappointed with this movie.
Rating: Summary: OH MY! Gohan Dances! Piccolo Earless! Isanity, I tell you... Review: If you are a DBZ fan (who has never seen the Japanese version only American like me) then you will watch this like me because hey...it's your fave show and you'll watch it no matter how [bad] it is! Because this movie IS really [bad] compared to like say "History of Trunks." But being a fan I will highlight some of the moments that are cute or entertaining:-Gohan and Icarus (his lil dragon friend) get down and dance away in front of poor Mister Piccolo! -You get to see Big Mama Chi Chi knock some baddies out and see Gohan save her butt after she gets knocked out! ^_^ -You get to see Yajirobe doing nothing as usual! *heehee* -In the course of battle, Piccolo goes earless and grows 'em back at the end! *ewww* Anyways I reccommend renting this movie, if it all possible. Only buy it if you're a crazed fan who has to get everything DBZ. ^_^
Rating: Summary: probably one of the best of the movies.... Review: it was great how Goku DIDN'T use a spirit bomb at the end of the movie to win, because that's starting to get old. The SSN thing was kind of confusing since i thought the first time he turned Super Saiyan was when he was fighting Frieza and isn't the movie befoe the Frieze saga on the timeline? This is probably my favorite after the History of Trunks which i think was a tv special anyway. The only annoying part was the music, it didn't fit half the time, they used music much better in the History of Trunks. The animation however was better than the other ones except for Trunks....
Rating: Summary: not bad Review: It's not as bad as people say. thin plot but plenty of action. the music is good {depite the fact I couldn't understand a word of it} but is a little overdone. The transformation isn't that bad, in fact the only part I didn't like is how he reverted back to normal. some sites think that it's a stage bewteen normal saiyan and super saiyan, that happens when the saiyan lacks enough power and rage to completly transform, but you're probaly saying, "no it's a peice of [junk] plain and simple!" heh. My favorite part is when slug has beaten up goku and goku begs his friends to hang on.
Rating: Summary: Sadly not a great DBZ movie Review: Many people consider this the worst DBZ movie although I think 11 is worse movie 4 aka Lord Slug(Super Saiya-jin Goku) was supposed to be out last November and now comes out with a new name but sadly the same lame movie about old Slug who wants to be young again and runs smack into Goku. Thankfully movie 5 and 6 should be out soon and Coola will burst on the scene and make us foget all about what a lame villian Slug is!
Rating: Summary: An average venture for DBZ Review: Noted mainly for the fearsome "Whistle of Doom" -- a happy, perky whistled tune that just happens to be in a pitch range that Namek-seijin simply cannot stand (imagine a thousand fingernails scraping down a blackboard) -- this is even for DBZ a pretty lightweight offering. After the Z-team deflects an asteroid from hitting the Earth, an alien craft filled with nasty but light-sensitive aliens lands on Earth and begins to cover it with dark clouds. They are led by an incredibly aged Namek who is still a very powerful warrior. When he sees a Dragon Ball, he recognizes it for what it is and has his people gather them and wishes himself back to full power. There are some decent fight sequences in this (Piccolo gets some very cool moments), but overall it's not all that great. The ending has a nice moment -- a sort of prequel of the later "fusion technique" shown in the Buu sequence -- but there are sufficient stupid or pedestrian moments which drop this back down to a so-so entertainment effort.
Rating: Summary: Great than Miyazaki....awe who am I kidding!! Review: Now first off, I wanna commend the writers (or maybe just the crew at FUNimation) for outdoing "Heavy Metal 2000" for what I thought was the worst villain name ever. Lord Tyler has now been replaced by...Lord Slug! When I first saw the title come on my TV screen I had images of a little bug with a crown on his head moving about the sidewalk leaving a trail of ooze behind him. Well actually he's just a homicidal alien - then again, show me a DBZ that doesn't have a homicidal alien as a villain. The reviewer before put it accurately - this movie is VERY mediocre. It's your basic DBZ movie: alien comes to earth, kills a whole lot of people, goes after the dragonballs for eternal life, a lot of pointless and badly animated fighting break out, and after mass genocide our heroes crack a joke and walk off into the sunset laughing with glee. I really don't know which part of this movie makes me want to vomit more...the voice acting or the music. And by music I mean that really bad rock music they put in the background. Who at FUNimation decided to do that? Better yet...who CHOSE the music? It's bad enough it sounds like the same song with different lyrics, but playing a song ever ten minutes is just annoying. By the way, this movie has some of the worst lines ever. Lord Slug throws Goku into a store and says, "Nothing like a little window shopping!" BOO! HISS! However, nothing tops this line right here: "They're like children, give them a little air to breath and they're happy." I am still losing sleep over what the hell this means!!!

Rating: Summary: A Must Have For DBZ Fans Review: OK OK So the movie might be a little thrown off but who cares. The movie is still great. If your into the whole japan DBZ (like me) this is GREAT.. Because you can watch the movie in its original format. Its cool to see the original over the american version. But then the american version has GREAT music. They have all the top bands like Disturbed and many others. The music goes great with this movie. So this is a must have! If you dont feel like spending the money on the DVD then get the VHS but i recommend the DVD because you get that cool little feature to watch American or Japan DBZ... So hurry up and order one already!!!
