Rating: Summary: This DVD was awsome! Review: Goku is on snake way trying to reach King Kai before the sayans arrive (Nappa power level at 4,000 and Vegeta at 18,000) And little old Gohan training with piccolo could have been easier. Vegeta and Nappa are waiting to get their wish of eternal life after coming to earth after Radditz died. In my oppinion Nappa the loser has a low fighting power and the puny earthlings can't beat him (that's in the later episode!) and their puny powerlevels are about 1,800 (that's tiens!) Well Gotta go and also buy Frieza death of a prince where Vegeta dies.
Rating: Summary: Good anime series, bad dub Review: INTRODUCTION: The Dragon Ball manga was created by Akira Toriyama, the same person who was previously responsible for the Dr. Slump series, as well as the Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior in America) series of video games. In the latter half of the eighties, Dragon Ball became a Japanese anime. And when the series drew to a close, he created a follow-up series - Dragon Ball Z. This one also became an anime. Nearly six years after its original Japanese release, Dragon Ball Z finally arrived in America. Unfortunately, Toei Animation (the company that created the anime) added in a number of filler episodes, and FUNimation (the owner of the American rights to the series) was forced to make large amounts of edits so that the show would meet American television standards. Though their dub voice actors actually were pretty good, they had a tendency to mistranslate some information and use a good deal of stupid dialogue. This package contains the third batch of episodes of the series. Read on for my review.EPISODE SUMMARIES: -Home For Infinite Losers: Goku falls off Snake Way and lands right in Hell. Two ogres make a deal with him, that if he can pass their challenges, they'll tell him a way to get back on Snake Way. He completes the challenges, but unfortunately, the way back on causes him to start over from the very beginning. -Princess Snake's Hospitality: Halfway across Snake Way, Goku encounters a castle. Inside, he is served a good deal of food and treated well, but when the girls inside discover he is happily married, they try to (unsuccessfully) kill him. Meanwhile, Piccolo splits himself in half so he can duel with a clone of himself for training. -Escape From Piccolo: This episode was originally not dubbed because of the "orphan" subject matter, not to mention it's a Toei anime only filler episode. Gohan runs away from his training camp and he meets a group of orphans. After hanging out with them for a while, he goes back to his home, but before he gets there, Piccolo stops him and reminds him of his mission. EPISODE OPINIONS: These episodes weren't dubbed THAT badly. There's a stupid line every now and again, though. Time periods are another plot hole. In HFIL, it says the Saiyans will arrive in three months, but in PSH, Goku says it's been three months since he ate anything. And the Saiyans still aren't anywhere near earth. Also, the cover is misleading since Gohan and Piccolo don't begin sparring until the next tape. DVD: This DVD is good because it has better picture quality than a VHS tape, but horrible because it only contains the edited dub, and not an uncut sub like later Dragon Ball Z DVDs. I recently heard word that FUNimation will be redubbing the Saiyan Saga and the former half of the Frieza saga, so don't go out and buy this right away. OVERALL: Overall, The Saiyans does a pretty good job continuing the Dragon Ball Z series - but the dub could have been SO much better. Although Dragon Ball Z is an excellent anime, I don't recommend this. I recommend seeing the series in its uncut, original Japanese glory; this dub doesn't do it justice.

Rating: Summary: SnakeWay Review: This DVD starts off with Goku falling off of snake way, and trying to trick two ogres into letting him get back on track. The shirts on the ogres reads HFIL, which stands for Home For Infinite Losers. This was edited from saying HELL, which is where Goku really is. Goku comes across more problems when he meets Princess Snake, who tries to seduce and eat him, and Gohan runs away from Piccolo. Although a good DVD, it is not the best and only gets a three from me.
