Summary: Excellent fighting and plenty of action
Review: Although it was released 3rd, it's really the second DBZ movie from Japan. There's not much plot to this one, just enough to back up the fighting (which by the way, is excellent). I liked the bright color scheme, especially with the bio-warriors, and the animation was pretty good as usual. There are plenty of excellent fighting and action sequences, although the ending is a bit lame. I mean, how many times do you want to see Gokou save the day with a Genki Dama anyway? (and if you think that's a plot spoiler, c'mon now...you knew it was coming) Anyway, it's still a really good movie and should be picked up by any fan sooner or later. The dub is done rather well, but I suggest the subtitled version over it any day. Masako Nozawa's voice acting will always remain unmatched to any VA in America.

Summary: Great for die hard DBZ fans but not for beginners.
Review: I purchased DBZ The World's Strongest, since i am a die hard DBZ fan i found it very entertaining. As with many anime series it gives the viewer no idea whatsoever of where the characters came from, who they are , or what their doing. So if you know nothing of DBZ you will find it very confusing. Thanks to the Dragon Balls and his dedicated assistant Dr. Kochinthe evil Dr. Wheelo has been freed from his icy tomb. Now these mad scientists plot to take over the world with their fearsome biotechnology... There's just one hitch. Dr. Wheelo's body died, and now his brain is living in a humungous glass jar! Dr. Wheelo seeks the strongest, healthiest body in the world to be the new home for his magnificent brain, so Dr. Kochin and their bio-engineered warriors kidnap Piccolo, Master Roshi and Bulma trying to find the world's strongest fighter. Goku, Gohan and Krillin come to their friends' rescue, but Dr. Wheelo's henchmen are amazingly strong! To make matters worse, it seems that Dr. Whello not only wants to have Goku's body, but he already controls Piccolo! The action is great especially when Goku goes into the room with the spinning spike balls, however i found the tenacity of ChiChi, Goku's wife when it comes to Gohan to be too much. Her domineering attitude and posessiveness of Gohan really gets annoying after a while. If your just gettunbg started with Dbz stick to the episodes first then go onto the movies.

Summary: exhilarating pulsating anime action
Review: this one kicks batoot as Goku, Piccolo, Krillin and Gohan battle the unfrozen evil DR. Wheelio. Dr. Wheelio manipulates Piccolo and turns him to his side and the fight with Piccolo and Goku(because the fans know they were rivals back in the day) is a highlight and theres breathtaking nemesis's including when Goku gets frozen and then fights those 2 henchmen. the end with the big explosion is amazing too.

Summary: "The Second Movie!"
Review: This is the second DBZ movie of the 13. It is awesome but gets boring after the Piccolo/Goku fight. In this, Dr. Willow kidnapps Piccolo, Master Roshi, and Bulma. Dr. Willow's brain was frozen for 50 years and now he wants to take of Roshi's body, thinking that Roshi is the strongest. However, upon learning that Goku is the world's strongest, Willow has a new target! In Japan, this movie was released in 1990 under the name "The World's Strongest Man," so the title didn't change that much. The plot, as I said, gets boring at times, but is very cool and action-packed. Well-drawn, and great voice talents, this DBZ movie is one to remember for all-time...

Summary: Best of the three dbz movies
Review: This is definetly better than tree of might and dead zone! Dr. Wheelo and his Assistant Dr. Kochin are mad scientists who want to rule the world by having the greatest body both mentally and physically. The duo were obstructed when Dr. Wheelo's body died and only his brain was salvaged. Years later, The dragonballs are strangely gathered in a remote place called the Tsumitsibri Mountains. Piccolo, Gohan, and Oolong investigate, but Piccolo is captured! Later, when Master Roshi and Bulma are kidnapped, Goku goes to save them. Dr. Wheelo realizes that Goku is the most powerful person on the planet and so he tries to steal his body! The rest is for me to know and you to find out. Some funny parts in this movie are Gohan's musical number and the enormous size of Dr. Wheelo's brain! :)

Summary: Great for DBZ fans
Review: For those of you who don't know, alongside the standard Dragon Ball Z series, 13 movies, 2 specials, and 1 OVA/OAV were released. Most of these were strictly for entertainment, as there is no way most of them could possibly have taken place. Also, none of them are very long (they are about the same length as 2-3 standard episodes.) Read on for my review of The World's Strongest, the second Dragonball Z movie.

SETTING: This movie occurs shortly after the battle with Nappa and Vegeta, but before the crew goes to Namek.

STORY: Fifty years ago, a brilliant scientist was killed in an avalanche. However, his brain was implanted into a cyborg body by his robotic assistant so that he would never die. Their laboratory was covered by ice and snow in an avalanche. Finally, the present day arrives. Kochin (the assistant) uses the Dragonballs to free the lab from the icy prison. During a recent expedition to this area, Piccolo vanished. Gohan returns to see if he can find out what happened to his friend. Also, Master Roshi is captured and taken to the lab (because their data is outdated, it still says he is the world's strongest man.) Bulma is also kidnapped, and an all-out war against these villains begins.

DID IT HAPPPEN?: This film could never have occured. After the Saiyan Saga but before the Namek Saga is the only time it could have happened, but Piccolo is alive, so that completely voids the film. Likewise, there was not an intreval of this long between the two sagas.

There you have it - The World's Strongest. The first three movies were done by Pioneer, so the English dub actors are different than the ones you hear in the later TV episodes. Likewise, these DVDs have more extras than the modern DBZ DVDs, but not much. These films are good overall, but for the most part only die-hard Dragonball Z fans will get a kick out of them. I would actually consider holding off on buying these - they will be redubbed and released soon - hopefully with more extras. I hope you enjoyed this review. Summary: The World's Strongest
Review: This is an awesome movie! I have seen every DBZ movie there is and this is by far one of the best! Goku's body is wanted by Dr. Wheelo and his henchmen are pretty strong! As we all know Goku is the strongest and that is why they want his body. Gohan helps fight but Krillen is a wimp and evn though he tries, he's [no good]. I won't say anymore because i'll ruin it but it's definately in the top 5 for DBZ fans!

Summary: Best of the first 3 movies.
Review: I bought the boxed set of Tree of Might, Dead Zone, and World's Strongest. World's strongest was the best because it is the most cussing I have ever heard in english diolge for DBZ. Granted it only says "damn" and "hell" but still. It is so much cooler than the kiddy stuff they show on TV. When you hear it in english.........it is so tight. This singal DVD is rare so you might as well buy the boxed set like I did. The other movies don't cuss as much but, but they are still really good. Tree of might is good too.

Summary: "The World's Strongest, a definite must-see...!"
Review: I strongly suggest you see this DBZ film. It is the second, but originally released as the third, released in Japan under the title "The World's Strongest Man", so the title wasn't altered that much when they brought this to America. I won't lie to you, this is definitely one of the coolest DBZ films out there, with state-of-the-art animation and sound clearer than the best quality of hearing the average human could have. The ending was extremely action-packed, and had more to do with energy blasts than fists, but it's funny because everytime Krillin tries to attack the villain he gets easily smacked aside, and he's the only one that happens to! I'm not going to spoil any surprises, so if you buy this, I hope you like it!

Summary: Better than the last one...
Review: Unlike the last movie, The World's Strongest takes a note to make Gohan braver, the sounds more real, and the action twice as hardcore! The animation was drawn out well, and the color was excellent. As I mentioned, Gohan isn't such a baby anymore, which also adds to the enjoyment of this DBZ film, thus making The World's Strongest one of the best DBZ movies I've seen so far.
