Summary: Long overdue, but worth the wait!!
Review: "The Fastest Thing Alive", oh that themesong brings back memories of Saturday Mornings. I used to wake up before 8am every Saturday just to watch this incredible show.

For fans of the ARCHIE Comic Book Series of the same name, they can finally see where their inspiration came from. Clever and original characters, great storyline, great music, and great humor all put together make this the most popular of the three American Sonic The Hedgehog animated series (others being Adventures Of SONIC The Hedgehog and SONIC Underground).

You get four of the early episodes AND as a special bonus you get an extra episode when you answer all the questions correctly on the quiz that's featured on the DVD.

Hopefully sales for this will be very positive and convince DiC to release the entire series, and (big prayers for) make new episodes! ;)

Whether you are a fan of SONIC and/or just a fan of great animated series, pick this up.

Summary: SatAM Sonic Returns!
Review: This is unquestionably the best of the Sonic series. For those of you who saw this cartoon in 1993, and have seen the other two series (the one on Toon Disney (Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog) and the one that used to be on Sci-Fi (Sonic Underground)), then you may agree with me or not. I have been waiting for this cartoon to be aired back on TV uncut, but something I never expected and even better came out. This DVD features 4 episodes that were aired from the first season. If sales go well, then more will be released on DVD. This is a MUST GET for any Sonic fan out there. The comic was based on this...or maybe it was the other way around? Anyway, I give this DVD the highest ranking possible on Amazon...too bad it's only 5 stars, I could've rated it 50 or 100.

Summary: Not the best, but still way past cool
Review: As a fan of "The Advantures of Sonic the Hedgehog," the soap opera type appeal of the SatAM version was a shock at first. But the series itself is interesting and true to the original characters sayings and attitudes, so I don't mind. I won't start bashing Sonic Underground here...
This DVD contains 5 episodes if you're truly a die-hard Sonic fan and can beat the trivia game, after which you get to see the episode about the Secret Scrolls (one of my favorites, being the first episode of SatAM I ever saw). Hopefully DIC will bestow more of these DVD adventures on us.

Summary: No Contest
Review: I was ten years old back when two Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons came out: this one, on ABC on Saturday mornings, and another called the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, which aired in syndication on weekdays (and was geared to a very young audience).

As anyone knows, when there is a contest between two things, only one can emerge the winner. That is the case with this cartoon.

Far from being a "soap opera," this series was darker and more intelligent than the childish "Adventures." I watched both shows when I was a kid, but this was the one that I looked forward to the most. Each episode was one part of a much larger storyline that I looked forward to seeing unfold each and every Saturday. This is indeed a DVD worth getting if, like me, you have an appreciation for the rare smart cartoon that comes along. In time "Adventures" may be forgotten, as many silly children's shows are, but this one will not. Well done cartoons always have a place in people's hearts, regardless of their age.

Summary: The Best Sonic Series there Is
Review: This is not only the greatest Sonic show, it's one of the best TV shows of all times. Where as the earlier Sonic series was more comical, this series is filled with dramatic action which will keep you in complete suspense.

I'm so glad to finally own a copy of this wonderful series on DVD. The extra episode is great, an added bonus to what was a near perfect DVD. I don't care that I have to answer quiz questions to get to the special episode, I'm just glad that it's there and that it's NOT an episode that's been released before.

The characters are marvolous and... full of character. Even though Tails doesn't have an inportant roll as he does in the games, the other characters certainly do make up for it. I also love how the girls in this series are not all just about being sex objects like in the latest Sonic games with Amy and Rouge. Bunnie Rabbot is awesome. I love how she teaches people to use their disabilities to their best extent. Princess Sally actually uses her brains and doesn't go around flaunting her body which is a nice change. Dulcy the Dragon is great too, even though she's not the brightest (and not currently on this DVD) she still helps out best she can.

The plot is great too, it seems so simple at first, but once you see how in depth it goes you completely fall in love with this series. I say buy this DVD and even the VHSs if you want to. It's completely worth every penny.

Review: You've no Idea how long I've been waiting for Dic to release thier cartoons on DVD. Trust me, you think you do, but you don't.
Anyway as it happens it looks like they are finally starting to get the idea, however they are only starting. RELEASE BOX SETS!
Until Dic and many other 80's cartoon companies begin to take mine and many others advice on this, I will not be buying thier cartoons. Unless I am informed that their is no way any box sets will come out.
Don't stop here, we wan't Ghostbusters next, and Captain N, and Galaxy high and..... oh I could go on for hours.
Get em out in order next time please, you know how many of us are waiting for them.

Summary: What is this? That's Not Sonic! I HATE IT!
Review: (...) People say they like the series.I Disagree! Dic has a tendency to turn video games into tv shows, but this has gone far enough! They've completely Fouled up the whole Sonic concept. It has a darker more dramatic setting.(which the games are so not!)I hate DiC! I Disaprove of the idea of Sonic in some silly stupid group of freedom fighters trying to free their planet from Dr. Robotnik who has taken over the capital city(and who DiC malformed horribly, again) Tails has a very small role when he should be sonic's sidekick. His spotlight was taken by Sally, i hate her.Amy is nowhere it be found.Obviously, Knuckles isn't there either(he dubuted in 1994).They also have a gross misuse of the rings. in the games, thet give sonic energy, in this they give sonic power and strentgh(Which is the Chaos Emralds'Job,which are nowhere to be seen).Robotnik strayed from his role as an evil scientist trying to take over the world to a tyrannic ruler who has. he used to trap little animals in different robots he built, in this he turns them into robotic versions of themselves, highly inappropiate. I don't like it when they add new characters that weren't in the games before(those annoying FFs, Sonic's uncle, Former king of mobius, robotnik's assistant, and the Swatbots, who go after Sonic instead of the robots from the games) or redesign existing characters(Robotnik twice and Tails slightly).i hate it all.i like it better when sonic used to go solo to stop the doc,or when Tails comes along. Don't buy this if you want to know the real sonic.Don't buy the Comic books either.try the games or Sonic X. P.S. I wouldn't recommend "Sonic Underground"either.

Summary: Not best series ever
Review: This is not the best sonic series ever, sonic x is. This series had annoying characters: Sonic, Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, Tails. Sonic's voice was annoying. Sally was too mean for me. Bunnie's southern accent made me mad (Most hated character). Antoine took too much from sonic and would never stand up for himself and just punch sonic in the face. Tails soounded like a girl. Other things about the series that made me mad. 1. Music is horrible. Sounds like generic back to the future music. Would have been better if music like music from Rurouni Kenshin was used. 2. Hardly any action. If you want action watch Sonic X, Dragonball Z, Yu yu Hakusho, and Rurouni Kenshin. I used to love this series until I watched all these, Sonic is not even close to these shows. There are many more things wrong with this show, these are just the most hated. I bought this DVD and I have not watched it since I bought Dragonball Z. Don't waste your money, if you want sonic, wait for Sonic X.
