Summary: Escaflowne is the best!
Review: This is definately the best series I've ever seen. Fox Kids just now cancelled it because it was way too detailed and the plot too thick for them to handle. They also decided as an added bonus to end the series right when one of the main character's heart stops (thanks allot, Fox! :( ).

The uncut version is probably not for anyone under 12 or 13, but is definately something for teenagers of all ages to enjoy. If you like Jap Anime, this is definately something to buy!

Summary: amazing
Review: First, my english is not very good( sorry: I am french), but I really want to review this anime. Escaflown has a fabulous scenario, where fate, honor, courage, madness, betrayal...are finely treated. ( I forgot love; it's very important when love is adequatly treated)

Moreover, drawings are of a rare quality. And the end of the story is "extraordinaire" I adore this anime.

Summary: I love Escaflowne fox kids version or otherwise!
Review: Escaflowne is a great show and this video is great. The dubbing for fox kids is great but there is no substitute for watching the uncut series. Many people critisize Fox for the version but I think they get the deep message or theme of escaflowne.I hope your happy they cancelled it you stupid otaku. So much for anime in America if you keep critisizing every dub out there!!!!! Escaflowne is a epic, great show and should be enjoyed by all people, dub or sub lovers.

Summary: Must see series!
Review: I was skeptical at first not being a fan of anime with romance in it. But this series rocks! It has adventure, heroism, comedy, drama, and yes, a little romance. The characters are well rounded, the drawing and backgrounds are excellent and the musical score only helps making a great anime series even better! Even if you don't think that this series fits your style of anime...try it, you just might be surprised!

Summary: A great start to the best anime tv series ever.
Review: Thus begins the best anime series ever. A great series that incorporates great animation, action, romance, suspence, and more all in one. The basic story is about a girl named Hitomi who finds herself transported to a mysterious world called Gaea. The first DVD contains the first 4 episodes, in subbed and dubbed formats. These are the full, unedited versions, not to be confused with the edited FOX stuff that has been replaced with some crappy nascar series. These episodes introduce us to the main characters of the show, including Van, Hitomi, Merle, Alan, Dilandau and Folken. Highly recommended.
The Included Episodes are:
1. Fated Confession
2. The Girl From the Mystic Moon
3. The Gallant Swordman
4. The Diabolical Adonis

Summary: The best I've seen
Review: I've seen the whole series before it was aired on FOX. I love this Anime. The story just leaves you wanting more and more. I've seen it in sub-titled, although i don't understand japanese, the voice over acting is superb. ... about several months later FOX air's it's edited version ... man it Sucks ... the voice actors they used and some of the editing puts a very very POOR presentation to how this series should be seen. It's best seen the way it was created. If you don't understand japanese, I'd recommend watching it with sub-titles. It's one of the best stories ever told...

Summary: Screw Playstation 2, Screw satalite TV, JUST GET ME THIS
Review: The BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anime/show/form of entertainment ive ever seen, its about a high school girl called Hitomi who gets transported to geia, a neighbor to earth. It may sound corny but then a emporer by the name of Zaibach destroys Vans (the person who transports Hitomi to geia) country which is Fenalia, so starting a phenomenal anime ever. Fox Kids are IDIOTS to replace this with Nascar Racers, THAT SHOW IS TERRIBLE. BY ALL MEANS BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Dubbed - argh!
Review: No Japanese audio track! What were they thinking? A beautiful DVD ruined by English voice (over)actors. Please... save your money until they re-release this video in the proper format.

Summary: One Kickbutt Animé Series!
Review: One of the best I've seen, and Fox just had to ruin it all. I downloaded some episodes into my computers, up to 15 so far, and all I can tell you is that IT REALLY RULES! DON'T WATCH FOX'S CRAPPY DUBBED VERSION! WATCH THE UNCUT VERSION! You'll be happier watching the uncut version. There is violence & foul language, but what do you expect from the mecha war story?

Summary: Escaflowne - a modern masterpiece of animation
Review: After seeing the entire series, I have to say that this series is by far my favorite anime series EVER. It successfully combines fantasy, mecha, romance, and esper themes into what is a nearly flawless story. Excellent music (worth buying all the soundtracks for), combined with a cast of unforgettable characters (including Folken, the greatest character ever) makes this anime better than just about anything else out there. It does contain quite a lot of violence (but with mecha and fantasy genre anime, it's to be expected), but there is nothing in it that I would object to older children or younger teenagers watching. If you're looking for a great animation title, look no further - you've struck it rich.
