Summary: One great video
Review: If your looking for a hard-core anime filled with nothing but nudity and violence then this is not for you. But if your looking for a video filled with comedy, violence, and demon wars then this is the video for you. Phantom Quest Corps. is about a group of demon hunters led by a clumsy-but-beautiful, horible singing woman and her side-kick who looks like hes six. Phantom Quest Corps is one of my fav. anime's.

Summary: Phantom Quest Corp
Review: Initially I hadn't really heard a great deal about this anime but had for a long time wanted to learn more. I picked it up for recently after years of having it on my list of anime to get and am happy with it. Its funny and entertaining. The only disappointment is that the series wasn't finished.

Also, my copy may be a newer version but it DOES work in the PS2.

Summary: No pros, no cons
Review: It feels almost the same with the comic "GS Migami". The picture quality is good, the motion is smooth. The problem is - the plot does not suprise any person who is familiar with this type of story. Also, the music does not help much.

If you have nothing else to do, it will be nice to watch this - and you can forget all of the contents the next day.

Summary: Somewhere between a yawn and a chuckle
Review: Phantom Quest Corp is five or six earlier anime shows stuck in a blender. It's not original and not particularly well-executed; on the other hand, it's not worthless either and occasionally it gets a chuckle (that saves it from being 2 stars). This DVD contains 4 episodes--apparently the only 4. What's rather jarring is that you are dropped right in the middle--no introduction, no meet the characters, just a first episode which might just as well have been the last as the first for all the viewer could tell. The premise is simple: Ayaka runs a corporation which hunts down and eliminates ghosts and monsters, with a variety of exorcists and psychics she can call on to aid her. She also tends to fall almost naked out of bed, wear skimpy outfits, get drunk, and sing poorly. That's the heart of the show right there. The best thing about it is that the English dub actors for Ayaka and her police detective friend both do a good job. If only the world their characters were stuck in showed some originality.

Summary: Great Buy, Great Flick!!
Review: Phantom Quest Corp. an action/comedy film about the drunken, karoake singing, party girl Ayaka and her friends taking on paranormal enemies, from Dracula to a possessed surgeon, mummies, and even magical monks. This Movie is a comedic romp through the world of supernatural events.

The only set backs on this flick can be that the theme songs can get a little annoying after hearing them too many times, the series is too short although it was still good. The video quality was also pretty nice, and subtitles were understandable and on que. The plot is sort of like scooby doo without the guys in masks, but more action and laughs.

All in all this film is a great buy and worth the money spent. A great addition to any anime collection.

Summary: a rough mixture of "Witch Hunter Robin" and "The X-Files"...
Review: Sure, I could have compared Phantom Quest Corp. to a lot of other animes out there, but the basic premise is the same -- we get a group of people who are working together to solve sci-fi mysteries...and there is definitely nothing wrong with that.
A friend of mine introduced me to this series, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised overall.
If you love having vampires and mummies, among other things, show up in your anime, along with a HUGE dosage of humor to boot, then you will absolutely LOVE this show -- it manages to take dark subject matter and make it into something comical.
I think the biggest weakness in this series is definitely a coherent side story -- it seems like things are a little too hashed together at times, and a little too rushed. On top of that, half of the Phantom Quest team only shows up when actually needed to do something, such as the team exorcist and the fortune teller -- neither of these two characters really gets a strong introduction at all.
One more weakness would really be in the music as well, which I found continuously grating on my nerves -- mainly, the theme song. Most of the other music is just merely OK.

Complaints aside, this is definitely worth your time, especially for such a small price -- buy this one, you certainly won't regret it!

Summary: Its OK - 3 1/2 stars
Review: The animation is OK.
The story - about a company in Tokyo that hunts down ghost and supernatural monsters - is pretty good.
The characters are sometimes interesting, often silly.
The music is pretty good and the series is genuinely funny at times.

I've seen better, I've seen worse - but the price is right.

Summary: Shows potential... so let's see more!
Review: The biggest drawback of PQC is that it only contains four episodes. As such, there is no background into the characters or (most annoyingly), where our heroine Ayaka got her fancy gadgets (like supernatural earrings and lipstick lightsaber).

If you want a naughty anime, this isn't it. There are perhaps two frames of anime breast, so the rating of 13 and up is kinda overkill. Kids could watch this with no problem. Just as well, because this is a very fun and watchable anime on merit alone.

A bizzare cross between Project A-ko and Ghostbusters, PQC certainly had the potential to go further than four "Incident Files". Too bad no more seems to be available, because the opening credits imply more stories.

The disc has extras, like a list of "hidden frames", which are usually traffic signs and readouts in English that fly by unnoticed during the action.

The price is right, and everything is done with a wink and a smile, so I can't help but recommend it. A tongue-in-cheek anime that is neither super-slick nor Saturday Morning slapdash. PQC is a fun, albeit quiet, ride.

Summary: Not too shabby!
Review: To be honest, I think I found this by looking at listmania lists when I was searching for other anime titles. I had never heard of it, but the reviews seemed good and the price was more than attractive so I decided to give it a shot, although I didn't really expect too much. Boy am I glad I bought it! The only thing I didn't like about it was that there were only 4 episodes. I know this review says pretty much the same thing as all the other reviews, but I figured I should throw in my two cents anyway.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Anime with a sense of humor
Review: When I saw this I though "why not, it doesn't look overly violent". Boy am I glad I tried it. While there are the usual fight scenes the overriding theme is a wonderful sense of humor. As a night owl, I adore the morning scenes using different, highly original, method to awaken the heroine. A real keeper and I just wish it was a long series.
