Summary: I once was lost, but now am found...
Review:

I remember that day when Kids WB announced that it would be showing a new anime series. I was so excited, and when it came on, wow! Beautiful animation, fun character, and all around great!

Then I bought a video of Cardcaptor Sakura.

Now I'm filled with rage at Nelvana. How dare they do this to such a wonderful series? First thing, which I could live with alone, is the name changes. How do you get Madison out of Tomoyo? Julian out of Yukito? It makes no sense! At least in Pokemon, some of the name translations made sense (Kasumi, which means "cloud" was changed to Misty, for example). Next, the out of order. It makes no sense! One day, Sakura is using a card to capture a different one, the next, she's capturing that very same one she used! Please! Finally, the general edits. When I watched the water card episode after buying the video, I was shrieking at the TV non-stop. For example, they had edited it so much! They took out everything that wasn't directly related to the capture of the card. They made a prearranged meeting of Yukito and Sakura a coincidental meeting of Julian and Sakura.

In conclusion, don't buy this. Buy the unedited version. You'll be so much more satisfied.

Review: Cardcaptors Sakura as well known in Japan is EXELLET!!!!!Cardcaptors as known in the USA and Canada is horrid!!!!! some reases why it stinks 1.they won't let Tomoyo sing she has to be a dumb valley girl.ARGGGGG!!!! 2.they make Sakura and Toya brats 3.Melings vioce is so bad it makes me flinch!!!!>:( 4.They sooooo don't give Tomoyo a peranalte(yeah i know i can't spell for beans hey i'm only 12!!!) 5.The slang they use need i say more? so if you wanna see something good get the subtitles if you want your ears to bleed from Melings's vioce get the dubbed you have been warned

Summary: Not the best, but not bad!
Review: Cardcaptors will never reach up to the magnificence of it's CLAMP born Japanese original: Cardcaptor Sakura. Still, despite the heavy editing, many of CCS's best episodes and situations have been put into the American spinoff, which is shorter by about 20-30 episodes at least. If you're a fan of the show, then go ahead and purchase it, but if you haven't seen it yet, and are only going by the original, or the manga, then I suggest you try to rent it, or find someone who owns it and borrow it.

Review: Don't listen to what other people say. Cardcaptors is the best. This tape comtains one of my favorite episodes 'Ice Breaker'. I really recommend getting this tape, especially if you are a huge Cardcaptors fan like me : )

Summary: This is a VHS you've gotta see!
Review: I completely love the episodes on this VHS! The adventures that Sakura,Madison, and Kero get into are just completely magical to the viewer!

Summary: I prefer the manga way more than this.
Review: I don't own any of the ccs anime, but because I own all 12 comics, I know I will.
This is for, but it's still pretty confusing. It makes you think there should be an episode for every card, but instead there isn't.
First episode:
The big card makes things big in Readington. And Nikki{Naoko in the sub} gets a weird book which turns out to be the create card.
Second episode:
Thanks to the change card, Li{syoran in the sub} and Kero swith bodies for a day.
Third episode:
Sakura's class goes ice-skating, But what about the freeze card, who is freezing things at the moment.

Summary: What is Nelvana thinking?!!!
Review: I would like to add my voice to the chorus of those that say: Buy Cardcaptor Sakura! Don't let the subtitles scare you off! Nelvana has butchered a cute show and destroyed any semblance of personality in the characters! You don't know how bad this is until you see the original!

Summary: Ice Breaker vs. Sakura and the Ice Card
Review: If I must sum up what they've done to Cardcaptor Sakura in one word: butchered. In basicly all the anime brought to the US, they chop it up into little pieces, like...a pufferfish or something...and serve you the ones they THINK kids want. Now, they've done a good mincing job, because all the scenes fit pretty good, but in the Japanese episodes, it's all there, like eating an apple instead of...pufferfish. If 7-year-olds in Japan can see the whole show, why can't 11-year-olds in America? I feel it easier for kids to relate to the Japanese subbed than the American dubs. I'd reccomend the Subtitled version, but, like I said, they made an appetizing dish for Americans. It's no ice cream sundae, but it's almost as good.

Summary: If you want the Real Macoy buy CardCaptor Sakura
Review: If you like CardCaptors seriously consider getting CardCaptor Sakura. CCS has more character development and better voice acting. Its characters are much more endering and real with their crushes and family life. Als CCS is in the correct episode order not the order Nelvana has (8,12,23,3...). Your child will love it much more,(it isn't the action paced, pokemon clone they made it to be, but a sight to love) So it is within your best intrest to get CCS insted of CC. Plus your chil will learn to read more with subtitles a plus!

Summary: *sighs*................Cardcaptors
Review: Ok first of all let me say Card Captor Sakura is much better than this. But this is not too bad itself considering they took a great anime and butchered it. To be honest this is probably the best tape to get out of the whole series because it has some great episodes even though they are kind of bad quality. I would only get this unless you are a hardcore fan of CCS (when I say hardcore I mean harcore to the extreme) or you just like Cardcaptors for some strange reason. ;)
