Summary: A must see for DBZ fans
Review: This is a great DBZ movie! It takes place early in DBZ so you'll see a very young Gohan and Bulma and Yamacha still dateing. Also, you won't see characters like Trunks or Vegata. It starts with Gohan, Bulma, Krillin, and Oolong on a camping trip. The forests lights on fire, Gohan and Krillin use some energy blasts to stop it but the forest is destroyed. They decide to wish the forest back to normal with the DragonBalls.Meanwhile a ship full of space pirates is nearing earth the leader being a saiyen named Torles who lookes exactly like Goku. They arrive and plant the tree of might. King Kai senses it and summons Goku. Goku, Krillen, Tien, Yamacha, and Chazsiou{sorry if I spelled it wrong} journey to the tree and blast it with a bunch of KameHaMaHa Waves. They don't destroy it and take on the space pirates. Gohan secretly travels to the seen and gettes taken captive by Turles. Turles is about to kill Gohan when Piccolo shows up and saves him. But Piccolo is no match for Turles and is defeted. Then, Turles creates an artiffal moon and Gohan becomes a giant ape!! He then attacks Goku and Piccolo.With some help from Piccolo Goku cuts off Gohan's tale and he turns back to normal. But, Piccolo is now unconssise. So are the rest of the Z Fighters. Torles then eats a fruit from the tree which makes him invincable. The Z Fighters have fallen to the space pirates. Goku is now alone against Torles to a fight to the death...

Summary: DISSAPOINTING STUFF
Review: I was very dissapointed in this DBZ movie.All the things i love about the tv series were missing.I love the long drawn out grueling battles in the series but here they are all over in seconds.The dialogue was pretty poor and the story line very thin,explaining nothing about Turless or his origins.I also hated Gokus voice in this movie.And why oh Why is this movie so short?If even an extra half an hour on were added onto it to beef out the story line and add some much needed action and fight scenes it could have been so much better.

Review: Goku and friends battle it out against the evil Turlis whose the 2nd brother of Goku(his first is Raditz in the series). Turlis grows the tree of might that will detroy the world, Turlis eats the fruit and he is buffer and stronger then ever. great action with Goku, Tien, Piccolo, Gohan, Yamch, Chotzu and Krillin trying to save earth from the evil clutches of Turlis and theres a cool fight against Monkey Gohan and Goku. hold on

Summary: BRILIANT DBZ MOVIE
Review: This is one of the best dragon ball z movies yet!
It's quite short but the action & suspense make it a lot better!!!
It starts off with gohan, krilin & bulma camping until a fire sets out on the forest, and gohan wishes the forest to be back to normal again with the dragon ball's!!
Then a space pirate named turles who look's just like goku plants the tree of might on earth & is sucking the energy out of earth into fruit!!!
He then turn's gohan into a giant gorrilla and goku cuts of his tail to turn him back into a human!!
Then turles eat's the fruit from the tree of might and challenges goku in a fight to the death!!
I'd recomend for age's 13 & up

Summary: You've gotta check this movie out!
Review: Excellent animation, perfectly drawn! This movie is of absolute perfection. When a small probe descends from space, it starts a forest fire. Gohan and Krillin put it out but the forest is destroyed, so they summon Shenron to restore the forest. He does. Later, a seed is planted on Earth, the seed of a legendary Tree of Might meant to bare fruit for the gods. Once rooted, the Tree of Might sucks the life out of whichever planet it is growing on to produce the fruit, which gives whoever eats it a tremendous power surge! Goku and the others catch wind of this and fly to try and destroy the Tree. They are met by a gang of evil guys and start fighting them. Gohan, meanwhile, appears later on and destroys one of the littler guys. He later runs into Turles, who grabs him by the collar and asks him to go and destroy planets with him. Gohan refuses and Piccolo appears. He threatens Turles but the evil Saiyan just throws Gohan at Piccolo. Turles comes behind Piccolo and zaps his cape off. Later, Turles creates a fake moon which transforms Gohan into the Ape Monster. Turles destroys the fake moon before he transforms, too. After revolting against Turles, Gohan's tail is cut off, forcing him to return to normal. After this, Goku finally starts to fight Turles, and the evil Saiyan proves to be stronger than Goku. After a thorough butt-kicking from Turles, Goku is left to die. He tries to power up a Spirit Bomb but is too late since the energy from the Earth has already been sucked away by the Tree of Might. Suddenly, Goku begins to draw energy from the Tree and power up a Spirit Bomb strong enough to kill Turles. Upon Turles' demise, the Tree of Might blows up and gives the energy back to the Earth. Then we have a happy ending.
This is one of my favorite Dragon Ball Z movies, this one makes the Tree of Might premiere on Cartoon Network look like crap. Completely different dialoque, but it fits the movie perfectly. You've got to buy this movie, it's of absolute perfection.

Summary: A decent Dragonball Z movie
Review: For those of you who don't know, alongside the standard Dragonball Z series, 13 movies, 2 specials, and 1 OVA/OAV were released. Most of these were strictly for entertainment, as there is no way most of them could possibly have taken place. Also, none of them are very long (they are about the same length as 2-3 standard episodes.) Read on for my review of The Tree Of Might, the third Dragonball Z movie.SETTING: This movie occurs shortly after the battle with Nappa and Vegeta, but before the crew goes to Namek. STORY: It's a peaceful time on Earth. Some members of the Z crew have taken a camping trip. Yamcha has purchased a new air cruiser. Everything's going well until a probe crashes in the forest and sets everything ablaze. Using the Dragon Balls, the forest is restored, but this is only the beginning of the trouble. The senders of the probe arrive on Earth, and plant a seed which creates a tree that drains the life force out of the planet. Before long, peace on earth is shattered, and the Z Fighters become engaged in their planet's ultimate decisive battle. DID IT HAPPPEN?: This film could never have occured. After the Saiyan Saga but before the Namek Saga is the only time it could have happened, but Piccolo is alive, so that completely voids the film. Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu should also be dead. Likewise, Taurus (Turless in the dubbed version) is a Saiyan, and there aren't supposed to be any surviving full-blooded Saiyans other than Goku and Vegeta. Why he looks so similar to Goku is also never explained (I've read numerous explanations on various websites.) Another problem is that Gohan can't control himself in the transformed state, but he managed partial control of it in the fight with Vegeta. And of course, there was not an intreval of this long between the two sagas. WORTHWHILE?: Of the first three Dragonball Z movies, this one is by far the weakest. The animation quality isn't up to that of the second film (released earlier originally), and the plot is just plain boring (it's a typical "villain wants to destroy the planet and be the strongest man in the universe" thing.) This one's for DIE-HARD DRAGONBALL Z FANS ONLY. MISC.: Unlike the newer DVDs, this one actually has quite a few extras. However, the dubbed version has the OLD voice crew, which I consider inferior to the new one. Also, some scenes are mistranslated (Japanese is a VERY DIFFICULT language to translate, so some of this is forgivable.) OVERALL: For die-hard fans of the series only.

Review: The movie followed along the Dragonball Z theme. Evil does wants to destroy earth. Goku and friends fights ever one falls even Goku but he doesn't stay down. Goku saves the day. The movie is good don't get me wrong I just wished there was more fighting.

Summary: A cool DBZ flick
Review: This is an example of a cool movie that really doesn't fit anywhere in the universe. The story revolves around an evil Sayin named Turles who along with his group of pirates plants the Tree of Might on earth. The tree sole purpose is to drain the planet of it's energy into fruit which can power up a character to double his strength at that time. Goku, KRillin, Yamcha, Tien, and CHaotzu all arrive to try and destroy the tree. They are then ambushed and the battle begins. Later Gohan and Piccolo show up and the battle heats up even more. Eventually it comes down to GOku and TUrles and in the end the spirit bomb is used to finish him off. THis movie doesn't really fit into the univeres for the following reasons.
1:The story takes place between Sayin and Namek.
2:Goku was hospitalized at this time, Krillin and Gohan were in space, and Tien, Yamcha, CHiatzu, and Piccolo were dead. SO as you can see this movie takes place in a subuniverse of the series. It doesn't fit into any particular story line but is still cool non the less.

Summary: "Best movie ever"!
Review: A seed was planted on earth by a saiyan named Thurles, and when the seed grew it became a tree that sucked the life and energy out of earth, which turned the colour of earth a darkish shade of brown. King Kai contacted Goku and told him about the Tree of Might so, he and the others went to destroy it while Chi Chi kept Gohan at home. All of our heroes tried to kill it with ki blasts and realised that it was too powerful for them. Then they met Thurles's goons..........
