Magician-in-training Louie, whose IQ is smaller than his biceps, continues his misadventures with Merril, Genie, and Melissa. As a priestess of Mylee, Melissa must dedicate her life to serving a hero; when Louie risks his life fighting an army of zombies, she wonders if he might be the one. Melissa's affections are tested when her ex-fiancé Conrad, a self-styled warrior-poet, arrives to claim her hand. Louie exposes Conrad as the phony he is in a duel, while Merril garners a fortunate making book on it. (Outdoing Scrooge McDuck, she bathes naked in the gold coins.) Melissa acquires three student priestess-followers who disapprove of Louie and set booby traps to ruin his would-be feats of daring-do. Louie can create disasters without outsiders helping, but as the good-natured galoot of a hero, he somehow manages to come through.
