Rating: Summary: man what a cliche corny animated show Review: i bought new domion thinking it was going to be as great as the the dominion tank police ive been hearing about. ive never seen the first one. when i popped new dominion tank police into my vcr and struggled through the first episode, i dreaded the next. to me this was a waste of money. the animaion was ok and the stories were cliche. action was almost non existent. but that doesnt make a good anime. new dominion to me is boring. i think this one is over hyped. but this is my opinion. check it out for yourelf. rent it before you buy it. now i need to check out domion tank police to see if that one is hype or the real thing.

Rating: Summary: A retrospective appraisal... Review: I saw this when I was a kid. It was a great movie! I got laughs out of it!Here some info on the the DVD: Newport City, 2010 - In a desperate attempt to stop the swelling tide of rampant crime and urban terrorism plaguing the city, the government forms a special task force - The Tank Police - with the firepower to combat the high-tech crime syndicates. Squad Leader Leona Ozaki, together with her radically modified tank Bonaparte, battles alongside her fellow officers to bring down the insidious Dai Nippon Gaiken Corporation which threatens to overwhelm the city with a new virtual drug. But with high explosive artillery at her disposal, can Newport City handle the destruction and chaos caused by her own defenders? Japan's manga legend Masamune Shirow (Appleseed, Black Magic M-66, Ghost in the Shell) personally oversaw the production of this exciting series to ensure that the anime remained faithful to his original 1992 manga books. Shirow delivers a darkly comic vision of a future overrun with fast and furious mecha, cybernetically enhanced humans and rouge androids. Rating: Summary: A retrospective appraisal... Review: I`m really glad that this series has finally been released on DVD in a single volume. I remember watching this when it was released in England a long, long time ago now (oh, that makes me feel old!). It`ll also be nice to have it in both subtitled and dubbed versions. I remember enjoying the voices in the English dub when I was younger, but then I was a kid - and therefore stupid - and I can imagine that they`ll probably grate nowadays! I have to say I always enjoyed these six episodes far more than the original series. Maybe it was because the animation seemed a little cleaner, but I think it`s more likely that the story was more engaging. Although the episodes may at first seem disjointed and unconnected, they actually form one whole story. The action is exciting, the characters (by the master of simultaneously intense and farcical characters, Masamune Shirow) are likeable, and the finale when they get their man is really satisfying. Highly recommended viewing.
Rating: Summary: Maybe a tad too serious... Review: The events set in New Domionion Tank Police anime seem to be after those in the Dominion: Tank Police manga. The Puma sisters are living on the streets, Loena is fighting small time hoods and the Major wants to be reelected. Right when you think things might get boring, there's a virtual drug for computers, terrorists are attacking the city and there are war robots, that look very much like "Fuchikoma" units from Ghost In The Shell, running about. I like it, but it wasn't as good as the earlier Acts. 6 episodes, 180 minutes of action, but not much humor. Extras include Tank Police Files, cool fold out poster, previews and fan club info.

Rating: Summary: Fantastic! Review: The third volume of New! Dominium tank police was great. I loved the new Dai-Nippon Daiken robots and I still wonder if Britan will ever learn to use the computer. And the music was great! Of a 0-10 I give an 11!
