The seemingly benign but sinister exchange student Eriol continues to cause trouble for Sakura and her friends. Using the enchanted Cards taxes her powers, leaving her constantly sleepy. Yue confides to Kero that he fears he may vanish: as the embodiment of the moon, he can only reflect the magic of others (Kero, the sun, commands greater resources). Toya, whose powers seem to be growing, tries to talk with Yukito, but the loudmouthed Nakuru always interrupts them. In episode 55, Sakura finds herself trapped inside an illustrated edition of Alice in Wonderland--as Alice! Yukito becomes the White Rabbit; Toya, the Mad Hatter; Shaoran Li, Tweedledum and Tweedledee; and Eriol, a smug Cheshire Cat. It's a clever parody that treats Lewis Carroll's world respectfully while preserving the personalities of the Sakura characters.
