Rating: Summary: Filler Episodes Review: Hrm. "Saint Seiya" is my personal all-time favorite, and ADV has done an excellent job with volumes 1-3. However, in volume 4, the quality degrades ever-so-slightly. In the beginning of episode 16, I noticed that Seiya's VA and Saori's VA seemed a little off. They get better later on in the episode, though. It's not a big deal, however, and it's forgivable in the long run. Almost everything in this volume is filler created by Toei (I mean, c'mon.. "Ghost Saints"? Please), and thus, the episodes included here probably won't be watched as much as the ones before. Still, what we have here is fairly entertaining. Docrates is an interesting enemy, and I rather like his cloth (his dub voice needed work, though). The Ghost Saints are.. er, well, their episodes are good for one-time viewing, but nothing more (I still don't get why they're called "Ghost Saints", when "Sea Saints" or "Marine Saints" would've fit them much better). And the Crystal Saint episode is pretty decent for a filler -- I like Hyoga, so you'll hear no complains from me about any of his character episodes. :) All in all, without much major events going on (a new Pope is introduced, but that's it), this volume is passable. Get it if you have the box just to complete your collection. Get it if you're a hardcore fan and NEEDS every Saint Seiya volume available. But if you're a casual viewer/collector, feel free to skip this one if you're under a tight budget.
