Summary: BOOM Destruction! This Is Great!!!
Review: Project Ako Is a great great Series! And THe soundtrack is addicting! Ok now lets start from the beginning

The first DVD Project Ako (the Movie) starts with Ako and Cko transferring to Gravition High (i probably didn't spell that right) And of course they are running late. So here is where you see Ako's "super human powers" Anyway so then they go and you meet Bko (there must be some hidden meaning behind the names hmm. .) Who is somehow attracted to Cko. And wants her for herself. Yea weird I know but it makes a great destructive plot. So Bko thinks up all these machines that are suppose to "destroy" Ako so she can take Cko. Well all her plans fail . . . . so shes still mad and wants Cko so she builds a suit for herself that boosts her fighting ability (since shes a weak smartkid) so she challenges Ako to a fight to the death to win Cko. So they fight destroying parts of the school in the process (along with many pantie shots from Ako) in the meantime a alien fleet made up of Women, who mysteriously look like men, start to Invade earth in search of their "Princess" (can't tell ya who she is) so now earth is in chaos and Ako and Bko are making it worse. So then the "princess" ends up getting captured by the Alien women-who-look-like-men and now she has to be saved. so thats when more destruction and pantie shots end the movie. Such a wonder full DVD. I LOVE IT!!

Ok the Second DVD which is Love&Robots. NOT Uncivil Wars. Thats the last volume. The consists of 3 diffrent stories. WIth more destruction and occasionaly pantie shots. ^-^ anyway so within theses storys the Aliens are still trying to get back their "princess" but are stranded on Earth so their ship they made into a Amusement park/restraunt. And Bko is still trying to destroy Ako to get Cko. But Kei appears. A male figure that now Ako and Bko are fighting over. And Cko seems to be getting alittle jealous that Ako likes someone else. but you'll see how that turns out. THen in the "final" ep thing another Alien fleet comes to again retreive the "princess" and actually is taken away but this time not by force. Her friends devistated attempt to get her back but fail. You'll have to find out how that ends.

Now the Final DVD. Uncivil wars. It has NOTHING todo with the first 2 dvd's. ITs a totally difrent plot line. Ako and Bko work together as Bounty Hunters. and Cko is the daughter of some millionare. And is much younger then Ako and Bko (in the other 2 they were all the same age) So its Ckos birthday and she gets kidnapped. but on they way she the plan she flies in has some dificulties and she falls out and lands near Ako And Bkos house. and eats AKo's dinner. And she gets mad but Bko tells Ako not to hurt her. So The kidnappers come back and attempt to her Cko back. and are succesfull and in the process destroy Ako and Bko's house. So its seems like a Chase to get Cko. and Ako and Bko fall into something bigger then they though. Some really small space patrol guy comes nad tells them that they have to help him so they do. So they plot thickens and Cko is actually going to be used as a host for some summoning. So now Ako and Bko must get Cko back to save the entire universe Whoa intense. YOu NEED to check it out its a must!!

Well if thats not enough proof for you I don't know what is. Its just a great serise. Add it to your collection!

Summary: GREAT!
Review: This is one of the classic anime short series of all time. This anime influenced many others that were to come. I only know of one thing though, the sailor uniforms the girls wear.

This 3 dvd series does not relate to one another. In the first dvd (project A-ko movie), they introduce the 3 main characters, A-ko, B-ko, and C-ko. Don't ask why their names are the way they are, it's just like that. A-ko is an amazing young red-head who has superhuman strength, B-ko her rival is a normal girl but SUPER-SMART!, and C-ko... well, she just whines, nothing special about her. They all go to the same school in Graviton city (i hope i spelt that correctly) The weird thing is that A-ko and B-ko fight over who will be C-ko's bestfriend. I believe the creator's intentions were to have them all want to be C-ko's "bestfriend" but, it may seem that they want just MORE than friendship. Well, A-ko is currently C-ko's best friend and B-ko is doing everything in her power to destroy A-ko. During their conflicts there is this alien ship run by women (who look like men... really funny) who have been traveling the galaxy looking for their long lost princess. They find out that she lives on Earth. They try to convince her to join them and go back home, but she refuses (won't tell you who it is ^.~). They alien ship ends up getting into a fight with Earth and they end up busting up their ship and can't go no where. So they decide to live on Earth (graviton city).

The second dvd (uncivil wars), is totally different from the movie. A-ko and B-ko are friends and work together as some sort of alien hunters. C-ko is the daughter of some rich dude who is younger than A-ko and B-ko (in the movie they were all the same age). Well C-ko gets kidnapped for ransom and ends up escaping from her captors and run into A-ko and B-ko. There, A-ko and B-ko try to help her (just because they want a reward for rescuing her) but of course, her captors want that ransom so they go after C-ko. A-ko and B-ko find out that these kidnappers aren't just interested in money, they want to get to the center of the universe and create some sort of armageddon. They wanted the universe to be reborn... weirdos really. Well, A-ko and B-ko can't let that happen, so they go in and do something of course! you have to watch to see how it ends.

The third dvd (love & Robots) is more closely related to the movie. In this one, we meet B-ko's father who is interested in getting his hands on that alien ship that crashed in graviton city (happened in the movie). They had changed the alien ship into a amusement park/other entertainment, but during this whole time, the alien women have been fixing their ship so they can leave. But they won't leave alone, their going to take their princess with them. Also, B-ko and A-ko fall in love with the same guy but he is engaged to their teacher, so what do they do??? they go out and stop the wedding and piss off their teacher! the weird thing i don't understand is, the dude is in love with that whiny girl C-ko (she ends up rejecting him and breaking his heart). Well, because the alien women failed to bring back their princess, the queen herself came to visit graviton city and get her daughter. That is all i can say... i'm afraid i'll give away too much if i go any further.

I don't know if this helped at all, it might not have (sorry i'm not a good story-teller). Don't judge the storyline and think it is not worth the money, this is really a great story. It may sound boring, but it really isn't (you really have to watch it to understand). This is truly a unique and hilarious anime.

I'm very picky about the types of anime i watch, sometimes i judge by the art, Project A-ko doesn't have the best art (graphics), remember this was made in the 80's. The story makes up for that also the soundtrack! This anime has one of the best soundtracks i've ever heard for an oldie.

If you still confused, maybe i can give you an idea of the types of anime i like, if you like any of these, you will love project a-ko series.
Vision of Escaflowne, Chobits, Fruits Basket, Fushigi Yuugi, Card Captor Sakura, Flame of Recca, Love Hina, Ranma 1/2, Ayashi no Ceres, I My Me! Strawberry Eggs, Slayers (<-- if you like this series then project a-ko is a must!), Magic Knight Rayearth, Inu Yasha, and Tenchi muyo.
