Rating: Summary: DBZ Fan Buy, DVD Fan Don't Buy Review: If your a fan of the dbz series then buy this dvd. It offers the original jap uncut and english dubbed version. But if your a dvd person who likes ultimate quality stay away at all costs. It is just vhs on a disc. Nothing else. Even the extras (are awful), nuthing but commercials. Happy buying.
Rating: Summary: An unforgetable saga Review: I've never been so touched by a story from an Amime, but with this i cried. the emotions of Trunks were so vivid and real. and the way the Androids acted was truly amazing
Rating: Summary: A Must-see! Review: What can I say, I'm an avid Trunks fan through and through. I asked for this video last year for my birthday and I literally cried when my mom told me she didn't buy it. I saved for a month straight to afford it and ran home eagerly clutching it, annoying my mom to all ends. I watched immediately (of course), and fell in love again with his utmost kawaiiness, Trunkie-chan! I had just become a fan of DBZ in September and this sparked my love for the lavender haired bishonen even more. I personally thought this was MUCH better than the Bardock special although I thought that one was pretty good. But heck I'm biased because I love Trunks! ^_^; I was crying near the end of this, it's so sad, you feel really bad for Trunks when you know all he went through, it explains a lot that the stuff they show us on Toonami doesn't. Set in Mirai Trunks's timeline, we start off when Goku dies and all the Z fighters reactions. We go ahed in time and see the androids blowing stuff up when Trunks is about 13. The movie's mainly about Trunks, Gohan, Bulma, and the other ALIVE characters and how much their lives have been ruined by the androids. It gets very emotional, especially the climax. At the end we see the Mirai as we know him in the series being beaten up by the androids. His mom convinces him to travel back in time to save the past and Bulma's goodbye. *Trunks waves, smiling* "Goodbye! I love you!" "I LOVE YOU TOO TRUNKS!" "If ONLY you knew how much...""Oh dear... He's in your hands now Goku..." *It then shows clips from Trunks showing up to Android #17 and #18's first appearance.* I didn't mention this, but it has AWESOME music too... I DEFINATELY recommend it for any fan of DBZ or Trunks, I gurantee you'll love it!
Rating: Summary: The History of Trunks Review: I thought that this special was off the hook! This was the best movie out there! If your a fan of DBZ, or doesnt know that much about DBZ, this is a must have DVD. It was sad in the first part where Gohan ran inside to find his father had passed away. What made me get emotional is when Vegeta said, "Kakarrot-no.." He said it with saddness knowing that his chance to defeat his fellow Saiyajin was now gone. It all was a shock to everyone. But things goes on from there. Get this DVD. Its worth your money in my opinion.
Rating: Summary: one of the best Review: History of Trunks is a movie you need to see. It answers some questions, like how did Trunks go super sayin? Though only 45 minutes long, this is one of the best. Better than the Bardock movie, extremely better. It has excellent music, along withanimation. It in a way, has a real-life affect to it. I give it a 5 out of 5 because, you should never get tired of this one. Though the uncut version may have some language, most kids should be able to see this one.
Rating: Summary: Trunks special + Multilingual DVD = Brilliant Review: This was my first multilingual DVD, and I absolutely loved it. This is the only way you can really see how different the English version and the Japanese version is. The English version was... well, okay, I guess. I think they made the androids more likable, but the Japanese version is so much better. A memorable scene was the beginning, where we see Gohan racing home, and everyone is gathered outside, and Gohan steps inside to see that his father is dead... there's silence through all of that. Eerie! And at the part where... well, I can't spoil it for people who don't know what happens, but I'll just say "the rainy part" ^_^. Anyway, in that part, the ONLY thing Trunks says is "Gohan-san", over and over. Nothing else. Beautiful. If I have to gripe about something, it's probably the way it just speeds through the beginning. They could have made it longer and showed the Z Fighter's fights with the androids in more detail. But other than that, this is a wonderful DVD! If you're a DBZ fan, you're really missing out without it.
Rating: Summary: Excellent... Review: I own every dbz movie on tape in japanese and english... first off the story line is very good... nothing seems to be left out... and it is overall very great... what convinced me to buy the dvd was the superior quality and the option to watch in in either japanese or english... the quality on tape just doesn't compare... this is an excellent choice for dbz fans.
