Summary: This movie is one of the HOTTEST out on the market!
Review: I think that Bastard! is one of the hottest anime out on the market today. The story line has one of the most intense plots that I have ever seen. Also the anime itself is one that will be forever remembered in my collecton of anime over the years of collecting. I just can't wait till they release the next episodes 7-12. I have been waiting for soooo long. Just hurry up! :)

Summary: He seemed like a nice guy to me
Review: I'm not too experienced in Anime, besides whats shown on american television, but as far as i know Bastard was pretty good. You can read the premise above, and the thing is just about as righteous as it sounds. The characters are all pretty badass, and the story plays out well. SOme things needed more explanation, such as Dark Schneiders past, and the way he gets out of a few close scrapes, but otherwise things are pretty solid. Animation wise it looks like a Jap/American 80's cartoon. Reminded me of a thundercats/sailor moon hybrid in the art department. You know the kind, the mouth moves but the body doesn't, that happens alot. However there are a few really cool scenes where the animation is very fluid. Not too many of the characters are way over the top, but there are a few instances of huge eyes and hanging tear drops. Oh, and theres a goofy vampire, a typical bumbling fast talking anime badguy(but he's prety neat lookin').

THe image quality of the disc is good but not fantastic, it looks like a television series. The sound, when there is any to really notice, is just fine. The english dub's are good, not annoying, and very familiar if you've heard cowboy bebop or Big O! dubs.Extra's wise, they show a couple toys.

As for the show itself, the action is often times gory, and the fights are frequent and pretty damned cool. A lot of magic goin' down. The last episode of the 6 is mighty awesome, when a fight with a cyslops brings together the main cahracters. As far as Fan Service goes(T&A) the show doesn't have anything too bad, a couple boob shots, and Dark Schneider is naked alot, no wangage tho. OH! and seeing the princess (who has 1/2 her chest covered by a metal armor plate) run is pretty funny lookin'. just thought i'd throw that in. Overall all the series provides a lot of action for the 24-26 bux you'll drop on this. Not a ton of involving story tho. So if you're into anime for the in depth scripts and emotion, you might wanna pass this one up. If you're into anime for the nudity there are much better shows out there for your 26 bux. However if you're into anime for over the top fight scenes where stuff is explodin' everwhere and body parts are gettin' blowed off and huge monsters are dukin' it out, this anime is well worth the price tag. I think it was definately worth the 24 i paid at bestBuy. So if yer into Action, go ahead and pick this bad boy up...Thought i was gonna say bastard didnt ya...gotta love the puns.

Summary: outstanding animation and comedy
Review: If you can handle reading subtitles, I recommend the japanese version over the translation. Dark Schneider is the great hero with a dark sense of humour whose casual manner and overconfidence brings much entertainment to the apocalyptic storyline. This movie has it all, love, laughter, combat, intrigue.. a must see!

Summary: Gratuitous, Blatant, And Thoroughly Predictable
Review: In short, this is one of the most entertaining things I've seen in awhile. It's thoroughly mindless, and the producers don't just want you to know that; the characters take asides to explain that. The hero (you'll hear his name every other sentence) is blatantly arrogant. He steadily trumps his own self-flattery to make himself the "most powerful wizard," the "most beautiful man," the "handsome main character who doesn't die because the writers need him to steal the show," to the point where he says in episode six: "IDIOT! IF THERE'S A GOD IN THIS WORLD, IT'S ME!" The hero dies so many times and then comes back to life that you wonder if Japan has any fables comparable to "The Little Boy Who Cried Wolf." But that doesn't matter--you still care about the hero because he redeems all of the (attractive) enemies he takes down. He's so shallow and the attempts to develop his character go in all sorts of directions. In short, he's awesome. Heck yeah, buy this series. It'll make you appreciate a series that actually tries to build dimensions into the plot other than sex, shouting, and violence. It'll trump any other films that try to make a real plot out of sex and violence. On a side note, the bad guys are trying to free this thing called "Ansla-Sax." So, I hear they're making another six episodes. I think it would add a decent plot twist if they finally break the seals and discover a small, black canister of 'Anthrax' with a biohazard symbol on it. What else would destroy civilization in "seven days?" Yes, I'd be willing to spend an afternoon writing the script for it.

Summary: Average anime
Review: It was an ok anime, nothing special in the animation or music department. The story had something going for a while but the series was too short (6 episodes). Its not worth buying but worth visiting the video store and renting it.

Summary: The handsome and daring star always wins!!
Review: One word that means it all, Bastard!!! Bastard!!! is the one of the greatest anime series of all time. A movie with wit, humor, sarcasm.... The story of the city of Meta-Rikana and their kingdom's trials by the Lord of Havoc who need the seal that lies within the castle to resurrect Ansla-Sax, the God of Destruction. The only weapon that Meta-Rikana has against these evil lords is the Bastard, Dark Schneider. Schneider once ruled over all the lands with his dark armies of destruction. Now he has been turned over to the side of good in order to defy his former generals (Lords of Havoc) and impress his new girlfriend. I do not want to give any spoilers so I will not tell how Dark Schneider is resurrected or the outcomes of his battles. Just go and buy this DVD in order to find out.

Summary: Superb
Review: Such a great anime collection.Story is great with superb animation.Keeps you in constant suspense. Only downfall is that the ending was a little weak as if the writers were just hurring to finish the story, but not weak enough to take way from the rest.
