Summary: This Movie is tight!!!
Review: I don't know what some of you were going at saying this movie wasnt all that because it was and whoever is saying that Brolly can transform above a Super Saiyan is an absolute idiot. Brolly transforms only into his Super Saiyan form and thats it. He is THE Legendary Super Saiyan being born with a power level of 10,000 Brolly kicks butt the only reason he was beaten cause Goku got everyones energy.Brolly in his powered up form is as strong as a Super Saiyan 2. The only thing I would downgrade this movie on was the fact that Vegeta was acting like a baby the whole way through which everyone knows is not like him at all.

Summary: Funimation has altered this movie from the Japanese Version!
Review: I have seen the original Japanese version of this movie. At the end of the movie, the comet collides with the planet while Broly and Goku are battling, killing Goku while the others escape via a spaceship. Sadly, Funimation has decided to alter the ending of this movie and this is why the movie may feel rushed towards the end. I advise anyone not to buy this movie because the original ending was much better and more emotional than the sham ending funimation has tagged onto this dvd release.

Summary: Not representative of Prince Vegeta¿s Valor in Battle
Review: I received this film as a valentines present from a girlfriend, (Vegeta was my boy valentine) but unfortunately, the video fell short of my expectations. The back cover seemed promising enough, with talk of Vegeta being honored as the true king of the Saiyans. Even the first part of the video lived up to the hype. One of the first scenes was of hundreds of soldiers kneeling before Prince Vegeta. He showed us a wonderfully haughty smile at this. Another highlight was when he turned his nose up, ever so slightly, when Paragus complimented him, similar to the way he turned his nose up to Magin Buu just before he gave him a sandwich at the picnic in the last TV episode. His gravely voice was as also as great as ever. The funniest parts were when he said "hurmph" to Paragus and when he called Goku a clown. The music was also perfect, hard and mean just like the action.
But the flaw in the story that ruined everything was the way Prince Vegeta was portrayed in battle. He was depicted as a sniveling coward who would allow that lout Piccolo to manhandle him and shame him into action.
First of all, no one touches the Prince. Don't you remember when Andriod 18 broke his arm, and Trunks tried to help him? He punched the poor boy for his trouble. When Gohan saved his life from Racoome he said, "Don't touch me, Boy!" In both cases, he would have rather been killed than shamed. Furthermore, Piccolo was the only one to ever appreciate Vegeta and see the genius in his tactis, so why would HE of all the characters berate Vegeta?
But the issue that really incited my anger was the way they tried to show Vegeta as a second rate fighter. This is totally inconsistent with his character! The Dark Prince of all Sayians puts his honor as a warrior above all else. This defines him and shapes every major decision. This was why he sought out Babidi and used him to become the most powerful Saiyan. He sensed he was loosing focus of his original goal and he ruthlessly corrected his error, even if it caused him pain. The reason for this is that he follows the ancient code of warriors, so there is no room in his heart for comfort and love. Valor in battle is the only important thing. Look how he ditched his family when he was trying to find and kill android 19 (Dr. Gero)!
He will let no obstacle, sentiment, doubt or fear stand in his way. If god Almighty was hurling thunderbolts, he'd take it as a challenge and fight back. Case in point: when the Prince WAS actually dead and he threatened Yima. He fights even where there is no hope of winning because in his heart he knows he is the best and greatest Saiyan ever. If he senses that he's falling behind, he pushes himself to achieve. Remember in the hyperbolic time chamber when he literally burst into flames because of his passion, his NEED to be the best? When Magin Buu was pounding him to pieces, he got up again and again and even taunted him because he would not be defeated. When he was brought back to life for the first time, the first thing he did was attack Frieza, a foe that he knew was far stronger than himself. He has no "fear of dying" as Paragus claimed. Maybe he's not the most powerful warrior, but he has the most honor and therefore as a warrior, he is unparalleled.
Vegeta is an archetypical hero, with a tragic flaw that doubles as his greatest strength; his pride. When juxtaposed with that clown Goku, who never had a care in the world, who never had to fight for every advance of his power, Vegeta's nobility and honor are underlined. Goku's strength was something he was born with, Vegeta had to FIGHT for his power and that makes it all the more precious and worthy of praise. Do you admire a man who was born rich, or one whose inner demons drove him to achieve great wealth? When Prince Vegeta was only a child he had to overcome the loss of his family, his kingdom, his dignity and every hope of ever leading a free life. He is the true hero of DBZ. The movie didn't capture the spirit of his character at all. Still, I would buy this video anyways because it was great to see his grin and the sight of the troops kneeling before their lord. What a hottie!

Summary: it revs you up for the return
Review: I saw this in jap. and its just like wtching Kooler, the returns are the best but the first apperance really gets you in the feel of things. I just hope they put the rock soundtracks back from this one until the rest of the movies, because that is what really makes it completly different from watching the TV show. In japan the used the same music. Funimation did there own music for the episodes, but i guess they got tired. the movies are suposed to be movies without that little extra that was found in the soundtracks, the last 2 movies just seemed a little bland. Back to the point, its good to see and watch because it introduces you to the return , which personally is second place next to bojak in the movie series.

Summary: Fantastic movie
Review: I was very excited about the first Broly movie coming out. I have to say it doesn't dissapoint. The story was ok but the fight scenes are easily the best part. Heck thats what most of us watch the show for anyway. It dips more into the history of the sayian past. From what I can account, that day was pinnacle to all events that take place in the world of DBZ. Those who know the series understand what I'm saying. The fighting, lets just say no one was prepared for what they had to face in Broly. The only problem I had was with the way he was defeated. Kinda lame but the spirit bomb probably wouldn't have worked anyway.
If your a fan, buy the movie, if your looking for anime with a deep story try something else.

Summary: One of the better DBZ movies
Review: I would rate this as a 4 and a half if I could. This movie has some intense moments, and seems to flow pretty smoothly. This movie is not without its flaws, however. Like other people have said, the fight at the end is anticlimatic, but it serves its purpose well.

Animation: Superb. Better than almost all the other movies. (yes, I have seen them by downloading the ones not released in America) All th characters look good, and the animation for the fights is smooth and flawless.

Sound: Alright, but not the best out there. I don't usually focus on the sound unless it interferes with the movie.

Story: Pretty good. For once, the story is over an hour long, letting the story flow much better than the other, shorter movies.

Overall: Its good. If you liked the other movies, don't hesitate to buy this one, you will probably not be disappointed.

Summary: When the HFIL???
Review: I'm a long time DBZ fan and I felt like this movie was inconsistant with all the DBZ movies thus far. Most DBZ films kept to the timeline of the TV series. I think the thing that bothered me the most was WHEN was this movie supposed to take place? Gohan and Vegeta are super saiyans and future Trunks is there, so it's after Cell (WHERE GOKU DIES). Goku isn't brought back to life until the Buu saga where gohans an adult, but in this film he's only a kid. Then there's the ending (energy transferance), why not just kill all bad guys that way if it's that easy

Summary: BROLY
Review: if you want to see the best DBZ movie it's got to be this one. the story is pretty cool but diffrent. King Kai summons goku to help find and beat a ultimate force of evil known as the LEGANDARY SUPER SAIYAN. On earth a saiyan named Paragus comes to rule the supposedly new plalnet Vegeta so of course vegeta goes with krillin, trunks and gohan.(u have got 2 see Master Roshi) i don't want to tell u the whole story but they soon meet the ultimant evil more powerfull than Frieza, Cell and Buu and his name is BROLY and he has one target......Goku.

Oh yeah
Power Levels of Birth
Goku-2
Broly-10,000
