Summary: What a ride!
Review: Cowboy Bebop, particularly the last two epidoses, is a series I will not soon forget. After investing approximately a hundred bucks (and a week of my life) in all six DVD "Sessions," I have emerged from the experience with a truly awe-inspiring, but draining, emotional jolt. Because, you see, that's the thing with Bebop: you don't so much watch it, as you do EXPERIENCE it. Never has an anime jostled my emotions so fiercely, and never has a series (animated or otherwise) forced me to care so much about the plights of the main characters. Not one to be maudlin, I nevertheless found myself on the verge of tears at the conclusion of the final episode. Words can't do this series justice; it must be experienced. If you're even moderately into anime and storytelling of the highest caliber, I strongly urge you to invest in the complete Cowboy Bebop Sessions. You won't regret it. #6 -- Somewhere inside the Village

Summary: A remarkable ending to a remarkable series!
Review: After twenty-two incredible episodes (twenty if you don't count episodes 19 and 21), "Cowboy Bebop" has finally drawn to a close with the final four. With an unforgettable journey under our belts, is there any way the series can give us an unforgettable ending? The answer is a definite and definitive yes. Using all their experience from the previous set of episodes, the series' creators have given us one perhaps the most memorable session of all the sessions. There is not a single dull moment in Session 6; it is as close to perfection as an anime series can get. Session 6 actually starts out with the Bebop crew's final stand-alone episode, "Brain Scratch". While not necessarily an undeniable classic episode, it still contains the sci-fi noir flair of the series with its haunting story and thought-provoking ideas. Episode 24 is where the ending first picks up, beginning with Faye's determination to discover whom she is. But the main focus of the episode is Ed, who brings the episode to a marvelous and yet sad close. The last two-part episode, "The Real Folk Blues", is where things really pick up. Spike's past is by now inescapable and he must meet it head on in order to discover his destiny. The ending of "Cowboy Bebop" is probably one of the most satisfying and yet heartbreaking endings in anime. It's obvious the series' creators carefully planned the series beforehand to tell us an exceptional story, and the end result is too powerful for words. In fact, to reveal the ending is a sin; it must be seen to be believed. There are no loose ends in the story to speak of, and we the viewers have accepted the characters' decisions and fates. "Cowboy Bebop" captured our hearts from the get-go, and saying goodbye is one of the hardest things to do. Graphically, the series has reached its peak, thanks to some excellently crafted scenes. Calling "Cowboy Bebop" animation is almost derogatory; this series comes as close to conveying real emotion as any other drama, if not better. And sound wise, Yoko Kanno teaches us how to cry with her perfectly crafted songs and well-placed ballads. The ending song, "Blue", is especially heart wrenching. And as for the dubbing cast...well, there's nothing more to say other than they gave the performances of their lives. All in all, Session 6 ends one of the greatest anime series of the last decade, and ends it in a satisfying way. We don't question, we don't wonder, we just believe. And I'm sure we wouldn't want it any other way. So, in the words of an anime legend: "Bang."

Summary: PERFECTION!!
Review: It's my favorite DVD of the series, and is an emotional roller coaster...I loved every second of it. Episode 23: Brain Scratch- I LOVED this episode, not a whole lot of action...but that's not a problem. It has a good plot, and it's just overall a great episode. It's about a cult where you leave your body behind and live without worrys. Faye joins this, but only to try and get him for the HUGE bounty on the leader of the cult, and Spike, Jet, and Ed search for clues on how to track the guy down too. A+ Episode 24: Hard Luck Woman- Spike and Jet wake up one morning to see that the Bebop has strangly landed on Earth instead of Mars, plus Faye and Ed are gone. They soon realize that Faye is desperatly trying to figure out her past...thinking she can find some clues from her old home, Earth. Overall this is one of my favorite episodes in the series, you meet an Awesome Character named Applederry, and that's really all im going to say since I dont want to spoil anything...its very good! A+ Episode 24: The Real Folk Blues PT. 1/PT. 2- These two Parts are my favorite episodes in the whole Cowboy Bebop series. Not only because it closes the series out very nicely but it's very well done plus it brings back Julia, and Viscous. This is all I'm going to say since you should definitly pick this DVD up and watch it for yourself! PT. 1- A+ PT. 2- A+ Overall- A+

Summary: Thrilling
Review: Finally finishing up the series, the last 3 episodes of Cowboy Bebop really suprised me. All of characters finally confront their pasts, and finally go where their fates destined. When I watched the final Episode (The Real Folk Blues - Part 2) of Cowboy Bebop, I was suprised.. There was a nice twist at the end, finally finishing up the twists and turns of the whole series. There was nothing to be desired at the end, everything has closure (as so many films/movies don't have), yet is open for infinite possibilites. The whole series can be summarized in one word. "Bang!"

Review: Cowboy Bebop towers over any potential competitors in much the same way that Blade Runner towers over most other sci-fi films. The cartoon channel deserves credit for showing it, but just barely, as it is the only truly "adult" cartoon it shows, and censored at that. Don't waste your time with that "FLCL" pretension, Cowboy Bebop is where it's at: hip, smart, moving. On DVD you get to watch each episode with no fear of Cartoon Channel prudery. Great characters, great stories, great music.
The final, two part, episode is as powerful as any major film drama released in recent memory. Like the best Greek tragedy, the events of the series move toward an ending that is, for the characters (especially Spike), inevitable, yet we simply can't turn away until the final credits fade. Blade Runner never had a sequal, nor will Bebop. So buy the DVDs and enjoy them. And stop reading the reviews!

Review: The last for intense episodes of cowboy bebop. Julia comes more into the picutre and spikes old days in the sindicate are as live as ever, might be confusing to people who haven't watched a few episodes of it though.

Review: This series has been great the whole way through, and when I finally got the final disc, I was very eager to watch it. The first two episodes on the disc delt with Faye and Ed, and I was wondering how they could fit Spike's finale into the two last episodes... But sure enough, they did it. And it couldn't have been done better. I watched the last two episodes. The Real Folk Blues Part I was very good. I started to watch the last episode part II, and once it was done i immediately praised cowboy bebop as the best anime series ever created. If you don't believe me, just read the reviews on the anime, especially for this volume. Believe me, watch the anime. Truly it is a masterpiece. Buy it now. See You Space Cowboy...

Summary: a roller coaster ride
Review: "Brain Scratch" finds our anti-heroes loosening up a little. In "Ballad of Fallen Angels" (on another DVD), Jet and Spike could hardly care less when Faye's life was threatened; here they help her out of a jam without even being asked. "Hard Luck Woman" begins the emotional roller coaster, as Faye searches for a past that may be unattainable, and Ed must decide whether to continue on with the Bebop crew or stay with her once estranged father. And who will Ein go with? "The Real Folk Blues"--what can I say? Intense. Tragic, yes, and tragic in so many ways, but it was so intense I wasn't mad at any of the forces behind the show for doing what they did. That's all I can say about it without going into heavy "spoilers".

Summary: Breathtaking Conclusion
Review: Nothing can describe the sad, realistic, and visually stunning ending to Cowboy Bebop. This has been my favorite anime series ever, and it is quite hard to let go of all the characters that I can so easily compare to. Director Watanabe Shinichiro skillfully lays down the truth that all things must come to an end, tragically or beautifully. In 'Brain Stratch,' I can tell it automatically takes cues from another anime, the thought provoking Serial Experiments: Lain. The idea of leaving your body for the net is very enticing. Faye goes to join a cult and Spike is questioned by the leader, Londes, what the meaning of life and value is. Why do human beings believe in a god? Another episode, 'Hard Luck Woman,' is about the mysterious past of Faye and Ed. As Ed encounters her father, Faye realizes that the past is done, and she can't go back. 'The Real Folk Blues Part 1' and 'The Real Folk Blues Part 2' is a spectacular ending. I was dreading a conventional, cliched filled ending, but instead, received a teary conclusion. As all the characters say their final goodbye, Spike faces the woman that he loved-and still might love- Julia. It's a sad sad world, as our favorite space cowboy says his last bang.

Review: One of the best anime series EVER.After seeing the whole series(Part of it on Adult Swim)I can say I'd never seen an anime that can ever compare to this one.I get pretty exited when I watch anime like this one,I almost cried while watching "Honky Tonk Woman",the background music,"Call Me,Call Me" is one of the best songs in the series.The conclusion of the series is just what you can wish for from a Master Piece like this one.There's a lot of character development in the last episodes.We get to know more about Ed and Faye's past and Julia finally appears in the last two episodes.If you ever buy it,be prepared for this series will be the most wonderful experience in your life.Cowboy Bebop Forever!!!
