Summary: FLCL ("Fooly Cooly") Is the Best of Anime Available!
Review: An adolescent boy, living in a quiet river town in which nothing ever happens, sees his world turned inside out when he encounters a dangerous, and seductive, guitar playing alien on a Vespa Scooter. She strikes a blow, which causes a robot to spring from his forehead and, when a satellite falls to earth, threatening to destroy the quiet river town, he knocks it out of the ballpark with the mighty stroke of his guitar, revealing himself as the Pirate King. Remarkable? The key to fully enjoying this animated masterpiece is to remember that we are looking through the eyes of a man/child struggling to come to terms with a world that is, at times, maddeningly confusing. The artwork, the animation, the dialogue, the music, the homage to Lupin III and South Park, make this Three (3) Volume Series a "must have" addition to your video collection.

Summary: Woah. Hold on.
Review: Awesome. THis series is the one that got me interested in anime. Every episode is great except for the fifth; "brittle bullet" which happens to be on this volume. However, "FLCLimax" the other episode on this DVD, and the final episode in the series is amazing and is worth the price if just sold alone. Every episode including these is structured like this:

Prolouge-First 5 minutes- serious, good cinematography, some story revealed

Part A-middle 12 minutes- no sense whatsoever. You can try, but to figure out the story you have to watch it over and over and over again.

Part B-Last 12 minutes- Climax, always really good, strong graphics and sound. Ends on a good note.

Thats i for my review.

P.S. By the way, in the english version Foolly Coolly is the name of Mamimi's Picture, just so you know.

Summary: The one and only
Review: FLCL or Fooly Cooly is the single best anime there is. FLCL was one of the main shows that got me hooked on anime some of the others were Princess Mononoke, Yu Yu Hakusho and, Blue Gender. The story line of FLCL is impeccible. A young boy in sixth grade is torn between his brother's girlfriend and his 19 year old house keeper who is from outer space. So in conclusion if you are into sci-fi and anime then this is the anime for you

Summary: Unique
Review: FLCL was surprisingly a good anime. It's name (Fooly Cooly) might throw some off. Just think of the name as the creators way of expressing the uniqueness of this anime. I'll admit that I don't prefer to many animes that have alot of gimicks and comedy. I usually prefer more serious animes such as Serial Experiments Lain, but this FLCL has definately put forth the effort. So why did I only give it a 4 star rating if I have nothing negative to say about it, some may ask. The reason is simple. It's just to damn short.

Summary: FLCL is one of the greatest series you will find.
Review: FLCL(Fooly Cooly)- The Third disc is phenomenal, some of the best animation you will find. This series had me from the first time they had it on Adult Swim. It looked kind of stupid when i first saw it, but after i started to watch it i saw something i've never seen before (the way anime's should be). If you've never seen this series before i recomend you go to Best Buy, Sam Goody's or wherever you can get movies and pick it up (trust me you will not be disapointed). It is a great series for anime lovers of all kind's, and for the people that are just starting out. Some people will not like this series, they might find it stupid or pointless but take it from me you will end up wanting more after you've seen it.

Review: FLCL. Fooly Coolly. After seeing about all the episodes and having the DVDs except for Vol. 1 but I got the box set this is one of the GREATEST anime ever. It's totally nonsensical but the story is great. Atmosk and then Mamimi and then Haruka and the Takkun or Naota and the eyebrow guy. It has great graphics and it is really funny. This is a MUST get for the Otaku, You'll be laughing it off and wondering WHY IS IT ONLY 6 EPSIDOES WHY?!!!

Yeah...it'll get you like that. Get it. I promise you you won't regret it.

Summary: FLCL IS AMAIZING
Review: Fooly Cooly or for short FLCL is an amaizing for its distinctive animation and for its beautiful rock type music make this anime cartoon cool you can also watch this show on cartoon network but I think you already knew that but lets get back to this story. This show is full of themes that aren't suitable for children because maybe they don't understand it yet but lets get forget about that its suppose to be a story about a main character who meets this first meets this alien-pop star type character on the bridge where the main character gets hit by the alien-pop star's characters scooter then she thinsk he's dead I won't spoil anymore of the story but you have to find out in the 1st episode to 6th episode the last episode is much greater than the other episodes but if your a Lupin The Third fan like me then try looking at the 5th episode called ''Brittle Bullet'' where the main characters father tries jumping on the alien-pop star girl then a giant boxing glove slams him into the wall just like the opening in the Lupin The Third series O YES I forgot to tell you viewers out there that episode 3 and 4 or 5 has some sexual situation in it just in case your shy in a goodway well I hope you watch the series on DVD,VHS,or on cartoon network I hope you hear from me soon again oh yes you will refer to me as Vash The Stampede or FLCL fan I hope you enjoyed todays review well ta ta for now. P.S I am actualy 15 years old.

Summary: REVENGE no LOBSTER hiki tsurete
Review: For those who were waiting for the release of the last two episodes of this chaotic series, hoping for some semblance of sanity to prevail, I have a bit of bad news. Director Kazuya Tsurumaki has never intended FLCL to be anything else but a tongue in cheek romp through the byroads of anime gone manic. The in-jokes, references, and puns - the incredible juxtaposition of incongruity and fan service - was intended to confuse even its original audience of Japanese anime fans. For us in North America all we can do is hold our hats and enjoy it for what it is - creativity and self expression for its own sake.

Naota and his father Kamon square off in a paintball/survival game for the right to claim Haruka. As if anyone could claim Haruka. Instead, a frantic series of event triggers another of Naota's mental abherrations and Mamimi and he scramble for survival as a giant hand prepared to attack the clothes iron in the sky. Then by a sort of pinball segue we arrive in the final episode, only temporarily safe. Now Naota must deal with Haruka's love/have relationship with a disguised semi-divine pirate.

Despite this drunkards walk of a plot, the illustration and animation are remarkable. Both Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (character design) and Hiroaki Ogura (art direction) refuse to compromise, and the result is far more than a zany comedy. The visual message is that something really is going on, even if it takes using vintage guitars as weapons to get there.

I hope that summary clears up any dangling insecurities you might have. FLCL is anime as if it was written by Nietzche and illustrated by Hieronymus Bosch. It is brilliant, twisted and full of intentional random juxtapositions. Repeatedly, in the interviews, director Tsurumaki responds to questions about 'why' with a chuckle and a shrug. As Naota says at the end, "Nothing amazing happens here..."
