Summary: Some of the best Japan has to offer
Review: When I first started watching this anime series a number of years ago it was while at a local S/F convention where they would present 2-3 episodes a convention. Needless to say when this series was released I bought my copy (on tape) ASAP.Lodoss Wars is probably the best fantasy anime I have seen from Japan. I would argue that it is perhaps the best fantasy animation done. Is it original? Not really. Many themes from stateside fantasy sources, such as Dungeon & Dragons are heavily borrowed upon. The bumper art has shots you'd swear you saw on a Dragonlance cover. The characters in the series are all very well done, save the villains which are a bit two dimensional. The animation, for the most part, is well done and very lush. Though there are some short cuts and reuse, but nothing too bad in either case. This is a great series and if you are a fan of anime and a fan of fantasy, then this is the DVD/tape for you.

Review: This is a DVD that is as good as the original. If you want an inexpensive compilation of the series DVD is the way to go. But don't expect a incredible visual experience. The DVD seems to be mearly a transfer from VHS.

Summary: Anime at it's best
Review: It is the best-written anime series so far. It has a good plot and a very nice drawing. The only drawback is Pann (the good guy), Ashuram (the bad guy) is way much cooler than him. But the author is really awesome, the way the story builds and how it ends. Oh well go buy it, it worth every penny u spend on it.

Summary: Best Anime I have ever seen
Review: Form the moment I put this DVD in all I could say is "wow". I sat there and watched all six hours of this movie straight. By far it has the most detailed animes I've ever seen. The only parts that I hated was when the serpents or dragons were fighting. It would only show them in one position and they used a couple of the same scenes twice in the movie. But besides that the story was unbeleveable and the charactors were developed.

Review: This Epic was so awe-inspiring that I'm going to buy a DVD player just to get The Record of The Lodoss war. The characters in this movie were very unique and their personality was outstanding. They coallesced in a perfect interaction of individuality. The story was wonderful and I give much kudos to the writer for his efforts. There was everything to it and more and I won't even get started on how good the ending was. All in all I just have to say this is one of my favorites and I couldn't pass up the chance to say something about it because I force all my friends to watch it and I haven't had any compliants yet. Thanks for making a great movie! Monkeyboy
