Summary: great video!!!!!
Review: I bought this video for my three year old son - he would go pee pee on the potty but not poo poo. About 3 hours after he watched this video, on his own he walked into the bathroom, sat on his potty chair and went poo poo - and we haven't looked back since - this video is wonderful! - they use language that a three year old can relate to and the characters aren't afraid to use potty words such as pee pee and poo poo - it was a great investment!!!

Summary: Makes him want to try
Review: My son is just barely two years old and is very active. He's not really interested in the potty yet. But while watching this show, he has peed in the potty twice. He'll sit on his potty bare-bottomed and watch this show because it makes him want to be like the characters and try to use the potty. It's great!

Summary: Bear in the Big Blue House and Travelin Tyke
Review: I just love the TV show Bear in the Big Blue House, and this is just and extended version of that. My 4 year old watches Bear on Disney everyday and he LOVED this video! Something about the gentle way Bear explains things that keep the children interested.... ...

Summary: Would have expected better...
Review: Yes, the characters are nice, as usual, but the main point of this episode is, "it's OK to go when you feel the urge." How about pride in achieving control of one's body and in wearing "big kid underwear," not feeling too bad if you have an occasional accident (and learning from accidents), and the other myriad of emotions and achievements involved in potty training? Don't waste your money on this one.

Summary: Very cute -- catchy tunes!
Review: My 2 year old loves this video! The part where Tutter has to go to the bathroom but tries to keep playing checkers is hilarious!!!! I can't believe some of the other reviews, where people are actually upset that the video did not single-handedly potty train their child. It takes more than that, people! It takes at least a little work on your part, not just plopping the kid down in front of the TV and hoping for the best. Take some responsibility as a parent! Sheesh!

Summary: Friendly and Straightforward
Review: Both of my kids (5 and 2) liked this video, which is refreshingly honest and straightforward about using the potty. Bear takes the mystery and fear out of the process, assuring the viewers that "every creature has to poop sometimes". Bear's friends have various concerns, all of which are dealt with in Bear's open and caring manner, and the result is fun and encouraging for all.

Summary: This move is dumb
Review: Who wants to watch a buncha bearss and those creepy shadow people use the bathroom. I think it's rude! The shadow people sing about potty, who sings about potty. This is the worst movie ever. My sister starts crying and hiding under her bed when it comes on. She is afraid the shadow people will flush her.

Summary: Just what we needed.
Review: My son is 4 and all the further we had got in his potty training was... "Go potty for grandma" or something of that nature... Sometimes, that type of line would work and sometimes not. This has been a very frustrating situation for our entire household. I mean come on he's 4 years old... There are so many other parents who brag... "my son was potty trained at 2"

I looked into books I could buy for him that could have interested him, but that wasn't going to work for us... So when I accidentally surfed by this DVD... and all of its good reviews for little kids that already pretty much know the basics. I decided to give it a shot.

Tah Dah!!! I got my package in the mail really quick... And amazingly enough the silly video worked... The first episode ended and my son told me that he wanted to go potty... Of course we encouraged him... and he ran off to the bathroom and shut the door...I was a bit skeptical, because he pretends sometimes, but sure enough I hear the tinkling sound of him using the potty. I was so happy.

Then I remembered that I didn't stop the DVD... the intro to the second episode was begining... I had to run back to the living room and press pause... I didn't want him to hear it and become unfocused from "doing his business" Luckily for me... My son didn't seem to hear it, and he finished on his own as if it was his idea... he even flushed the toilet and washed his own hands...

This DVD is the best! He doesn't get all grumpy with me anymore about going potty. Everytime I think he might have to go... I just pop in the DVD and he suddenly thinks it was his idea... and all is becoming a lot more dry these days.

Summary: Not a how-to, but fun and encouraging for the little ones.
Review: Bear is encouraging and comforting as ever when his little friends encounter obstacles on their way to perfect potty performance. They're all way past the first steps, though, so don't expect guidance for the pre-potty set. I was expecting something more along the lines of Once Upon A Potty, which focuses on figuring out what the potty is for, and having the patience to sit around on it for a while before the process becomes... automatic. This video is more for the ones who already have information, knowledge and know-how when it comes to getting into the bathroom, removing the necessary garments, proper positioning and general cause and effect. It's fine for the sophisticated potty-er, though, as it reviews the importance of getting there on time, hygiene and respect for personal space. The songs and dances are fun as ever with Bear, and I don't know any 4 year old who wouldn't want to watch the whole video. Just don't count on it as a tool for the true beginner.

Summary: Potty Time at its Best
Review: I loved this video. I sat alongside my, now two-year old, watching it. This video helped my daughter get excited about using the potty, now she's a regular "potty animal" (sorry, couldnt resist). I love Pip and Pop's song, I now know it all by heart. My little girl thought it was the funniest thing seeing Tutter sitting on the potty and Bear helped to answer some difficult questions. All in all I'd recommend this video to any parent to encourage, or just reinforce potty use. Bear at his Best.
