Review: Like all things from "Bear in the Big Blue House," this video is very pleasant and well produced. But it hasn't interested my 23 month old, who is otherwise a fan of BBBH. It lacks the specific, dare I say graphic, information that my son finds so interesting in an animated video on the same topic. I'd say this tape is more about the concept of toilet training than it is about the fundamentals of actually using the thing.

Review: My son loves the TV show, I thought he would like this video. After watching the video he took the tape out of the VCR and put it in the trash can. Usually I can sit through an episode of "Bear And The Big Blue House" with him, but this video was so off the wall and sickinigly cheesy, I could not even sit through half of it.

Review: This is the best potty video I've seen. My two year old loves the part when bear puts his nose right up to the screen of the t.v. and sniffs, she laughs, its sooo cute. Very well done.The little animals are all so adorable. I;m so pleased I purchased this video.

Summary: Great video but too many commercials leading into it.
Review: My grandson watches this video, which is quite a feat in itself - as he usually doesn't watch anything but "Barney!" He's only 23 months, so I think it might help him more with his potty training a little later on - - it's already helping a little. The video is excellent in its treatment of the subject. It covers all the aspects - good hygiene, encouraging the child to interrupt his play time when he has to go, what the child should do when he's not at home and has to go, etc. My only negative comment is that there are 10 minutes of commercials for other videos at the beginning of the tape. I think these should be at the end of the tape and then if you want to watch them, you can. When I want 10 minutes of commercials, I'll watch TV.

Summary: This video was the final push for my daughter to potty train
Review: My daughter potty trained late at 4 years of age. In retrospect I realize she struggled with knowing how it felt to go potty. I originally taped this show from the Disney channel. She watched it 4 or 5 times in one week and at the end of the week practically potty trained overnight. Great tape for kids struggling with understanding how to go potty.

Summary: The most miraculous video ever made !
Review: I bought this for my 2 3/4 year old daughter 2 weeks ago. Shewatched it 5 or 6 times the day I got it and she had never seen"Bear in the Big Blue House" before, so she was not familier with the characters. Over the next few days she watched it once or twice a day. I bought it on a Tuesday. By Friday afternoon she wanted to put on training pants and except for nighttime she hasn't had a diaper on since ! It's absolutely amazing ! She's hardly had any accidents during the daytime and she's even waking up dry a lot of mornings. Before this wonderful video she would tell us she had to go, but she refused to go sit on the potty. I can't say enough wonderful things about this video. If you're struggling with potty training, go out and buy it today.

Summary: Beware of the big bear!
Review: Apparently what some tots find big, affable and friendly others find huge, boisterous and scary. My little video-savvy toddler bursts into tears everytime she sees the bear. We've only been able to play a few seconds of this video before we have to turn it off. We've tried it repeatly but she'll have nothing to do with this character. This is a 0 stars purchase for our house but I gave it 2 stars because anything from Jim Henson has merit. My advise is to make sure your little on is a fan of the Bear before you make the purchase.

Summary: Beware of the big, bad bear
Review: This was our first encounter with this character and I purchased the video based on the great reviews. Unfortunately, after patiently waiting while I fast forwarded through the endless previews at the beginning of this video, our video-junky toddler burst into tears within seconds of the bear coming on screen. We've tried more than half a dozen times with this video--tears everytime. Just goes to show that what is big,friendly and affable to one kid is huge, boisterous and scary to another. In our house this would get 0 stars but I gave it 3 stars because obviously anything from the Henson Co. has creative merit. Good luck but I'd advise renting something involving the "Bear in the..." before buying just to make sure your little one can handle this gentle giant.

Review: My one complaint is before you actually get to Bear and the Big Blue House, you have to sit through sooooo many movie advertisements. When your child is eager to see Bear in the Big Blue House, all of those advertisements (approx 10 minutes) will bug them.

Summary: Great for toddlers... and their parents!!!
Review: My son loves Bear! Whenever he sees him he says "bear bear" And while no video replaces a parent's instruction, this video is a great tool for potty training (especially for refining skills). Very tactful and lots of fun. Talks about hand washing, using the potty in a strange place, accidents, and how "sometimes it's kind of hard to stop having fun and take the time to go to the potty." One very understanding bear!
