Summary: I've seen both american and Jap versions
Review: And I must say that this moive is well worth the cash, this version of pokemon doesn't focus on the battles as much as they had in the past frist 3, but this time they go into a very moving story that well, leaves at for you to guess at, and though I wish past reviewrs didn't try spoile the moive for some of us, it does show how much people love this one.

This by far is the best pokemon moive I've seen to date, and the way they end it, well, I say it was Latias, but we'll never know, will we? At least for those of use that saw the moive.

This is a must see for the whole family, it's very lovable, it's amzaing how well the plot is in this one, and once more, the story is very moving, I'm getting the DVD, no buts about it.

Summary: Despite Critics Reviews, this film is very enjoyable.
Review: As one who owns the Japanese version of "Guardians of Altomere", I must say that I was very pleased with this production. Animation quality is right up there with the more "critically acclaimed" animated films, and while this film is no "Spirited Away", this film DOES show significant improvements over the previous films in this genre.

The story is somewhat original, however, does tend to fall into the previous traps that the previous 4 have. While Ash is the centerpiece of the series and the films, less emphasis needs to be put on this character and more emphasis on the other companion characters in the series.

Aside from some of the minor shortcomings in the story, the animation and the music in this film make up for this. All in all, this is a film that can be enjoyed by FAMILIES and fans young and old. A well done and very well deserving piece of work.

Summary: Absolutely Fantastic: Best of all Pokemon Movies
Review: FYI:
THIS MOVIE USES THE THEME FROM POKEMON TV SEASON 5: MASTER QUEST (...)Although the last movie was extremely dissapointing to most Pokémon fans, this movie has really taken a 180 degree turn. This movie is truly phenomenal and has exceptional animation and graphics. This story line, compared with 4Ever, was remarkable and the movie had extremely fine quality audio and video. Anyways, this movie deserves a extremely good rating and if you are on the wavering-line of liking or not liking Pokémon, then hopefully this will change your opinion toward the latter of the two. Comparing all Pokemon movies together, this movie stands out as the best. Hopefully the next movie will be just as good or surpass this level of moviemaking.

Summary: The Best Movie Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I am a very very very huge fan of Pokemon, ever since it hit the US. I'm a senior in highschool, now and I'm still a big fan! Anyway, I was soooooo angry when I couldn't see this in theaters! I hope Miramax will come to their senses and put the next movie in a lot more theaters this time, they'd make a lot more money if they did! This movie is my favorite and the best movie I have ever seen!! I love it!!!Pokemon is still #1!!!!!!And I do mean the BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Good One! Right up there!
Review: I bought this one yesterday, and I liked it as much (if not more)than Pokemon 2000. Great CGI & story. Unfortunately there's no audio commentary track this time! The Camp Pikachu short is cute, but no better or worse than any of the other shorts. They're mostly eye candy anyway, and not really plot-heavy. Why is Camp Pikachu in widescreen, and the main feature is not??!! Aargh, I hate formatted & pan-and-scan films! The DVD/VHS comes with 2 promo cards (guess who of!). Pokemon is still alive & well, this film is proof. I'm on a master quest, I'm on my way to victory! Over 350 Pokemon now, and the TV show is still "To Be Continued" after 6 seasons, with more on the way! Ignore the naysayers and check this one out, it's worth watching.

Summary: VERY GOOD? When was it in theaters?
Review: I didn't even know this movie existed until the DVD came out. I would like to see another Pokemon movie in theaters sometime, so release it in more theaters or tell us about it! (The last one I saw there was Pokemon 2000.) Is Jirachi, The Wish Maker going to be in theaters? If so, I would like to know about it. It's a great movie, but more Jessie and James and Ash, change your outfit!

Summary: Possibly the best Pokemon movie ever dubbed
Review: I just saw this a few hours ago, and I must say that it was spectacular. Pokemon Heroes: Latias and Latios begins with a couple of attractive master thieves stealing a book from some sort of library, and in James Bond fashion, they leap through the window, swing down a grappling hook's rope, jump in their sweet-looking car, and hit the road at high speeds. But the cool part came when they drove off the side of a large cliff and as they plummeted downwards, their car transforms(very detailed, but quickly) into a flying machine as they zoom off into the night sky. The movie has tons of these sort of slick action scenes, which is what moves the movie forward. The story is okay, for a Pokemon movie, and isn't too predictable. Ash and Co. arrive at a beautiful city called AltoMare(which resembles Venice, complete with water canals and gondolas). After participating in a water race, Ash runs into a strange girl, and the thieves who want to kidnap her for some reason, which leads to what is the first of many chase scenes in the movie.

The animation is far more advanced than the previous movies, with LOTS of computer generated imagery, and some SFX shots that are Matrix-esque. This movie is a very nice piece of eye-candy indeed(There's a scene where a flood starts to brew from afar, which sent a chill up my back). The traditional hand-drawn animation is good too, though there are many times where the characters seem to be drawn with black outlines that are a little too big. Thankfully Miramax left in the original orchestrated music, which is beautiful, mixing traditional anime orchestral pieces with Italian music. Heck, they even left in a JAPANESE song during a certain part of the movie! The movie begins with the same 'World of Pokemon' segment seen in many other places, and again they skip the mini-movie which will probably be on the DVD. Anyways, the voice acting is okay, and they didn't really change much of the movie in this English version. The opening and ending sequences has some american songs though, but they're okay. The only gripe I had was with Latias and Latios' voices; they're kinda annoying, and not what I expected.

Either way, if you're a Pokemon fan, you should definitely find a theater that's playing this film and see this movie. The semi-large audience at the screening actually clapped at the film's finale, and they even stayed for the end credits!(Which has a cameo appearance of a certain Pokemon collector from the second Pokemon film) It's one of the best, and possibly the most satisfying Pokemon movie made. Besides, the movie's ending is really cute. ;)

Summary: This is my favorite Pokemon movie,.
Review: I love how cute Latias and Latios are. Latias is very fond of Ash just like Chikorita. Ash seems to like a girl but she turns out to be Latias. But the real girl must like him because she drew a picture of him, he gets kissed on the cheek at the end ios it Latias or the girl??? This movie is so good I've already watched it like 509 times I havc the Jap version with English Shubtitles. I can't wait to watch it in English.
