Summary: the simple facts of vampire hunter d-bloodlust
Review: vampire hunter d-bloodlust is a wonderful movie.it's got violence, true love, adventure, and an awesome mysterious main character.this movie will totally rock your world.it's different than most anime; there's no cutsie characters, and it's definitely not a comedy (that's for sure!).i would actually have given this movie 4 1/2 stars but it wouldn't let me!the only reason i wouldn't have given it five stars is because i wish that we could've gotten to know the main character a bit better (not that it's not great having him be a handsome mystery!).it was also a bit harsh on my sensitive sensibilities toward the end.so if you're as sensitive as i am BEWARE!
i would definitely give this animation a ten.it's different but wonderfully dark.
i do hope you get this!i know you'll enjoy it!

Summary: beautiful indeed, but little more than that
Review: Aesthetically amazing. Very beautiful gothic-style art. Fairly good dubbing.
The storyline however, is not extremely boring, but definitely not interesting. In truth, I believe everyone who thinks this movie was more than decent would not have, had the movie been animated as averagely as the storyline itself. Eye candy truelly often blinds persons from recognition of true perfection.

VHD 1 = superior

Summary: Pretty Damn Good
Review: Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust was the second anime dvd that I bought and I cannot say enough good things about it. This "sequel" does not have any connections to the 1985 original. I liked Bloodlust better than the original though, because, I think that the characters were more fleshed out and the story began quicker. Not to mention that the film was also techinically cleaner and drawb better.

The storyline however, is not extremely boring, but definitely nowhere near anything interesting. Eye candy truelly often blinds persons from recognition of true perfection. Just about everyone likes this movie though, so be like them all,

Summary: I loved "Vampire Hunter D" and now this second Anime
Review: As far as most Anime, I don't watch that much of it, but "Vampire Hunter D" and "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust" are most certainly exceptions. In my mind these two Anime DVDs are the greatest to ever come out. It would be great if Hideyuki Kikuchi, who based all this on his book by the same name, could look to other science-fiction works for possible Anime projects, like "Neuromancer", "Cryptonomicon", "Digital Fortress", "Prey", and "Darkeye: Cyber Hunter". Each would make great Anime in their own rights.

Summary: Good Story.......That's all folks!!
Review: As the title of this review states 'Good Story' and that's exactly what this movie represents, story telling and nothing more. The fighting scenes are very dramatic but far too short (they only last mere seconds). Don't purchase this movie if you are really into animation for the action (I am) and this movie almost has no action at ALL!. Again I will like to stress that the fighting scenes are too dramatic, the movie does not give you an opportunity to get into the action. You will see two people about to battle and just when you sit up to take in the full effect of what's about to take place one person just dies!! Just like that !! The movie was good but I bought this movie because I thought it would have been action packed so I am very disappointed.

Summary: English...
Review: I've seen a lot of reviews that complain that Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust does not have literal English translations, so I thought I'd let everyone know: The original language version of Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is English. For its theatrical run in Japan, the widespread release was in English with Japanese subtitles. In Korea, the film was shown in English with Korean subtitles.
(Straight from the official website, folks.)
