Summary: much better than the first
Review: Excellent quality! Good that there is a Stereo track with the original soundtrack besides the effect-enhanced Dolby 5.1 track. Picture quality is much better than in the previeus boxset.Two episodes have the same menu-animation (episode "Prime Problem"), this seems to be the only flaw. Conclusion: Less extras but better quality than Season 1

Summary: Excellent Collection
Review: After the mistakes with the first season set (which was still a spectacular restoration, flaws and all), Rhino went to work on the Season 2 set, and produced a box set that's nearly flawless. The episodes are near flawless (the only mistake due to the 35mm source being the original take that I noticed was a double image of Prime in "Atlantis, Arise!"), and the video is perfect in all but a few scenes (most of it located in "Autobot Spike", and all due to the need to take footage from the crusty broadcast master). The extras, however, continue to be lacking, as the Botcon footage again focused on new product, and one of the interviews was from a voice actor on the "Robots in Disguise" series from a couple of years ago. However, the interviews with Earl Kress (writer of a number of great Season 1 and Season 2 episodes) and Michael McConnohie (voice actor for Cosmos and Tracks) are great, and show not only great knowledge of stuff they did some 18 years ago, but a genuine love for the series.

Summary: There is nothing like the original!
Review: Season two of the Trans Formers took viewers deeper into the conflict then any Trans Formers series since. It put the conflict into light. The animation of course was much better as was the wrighting.The charecters were deeper and I thnk the actors were more comfortable with thier charecters. It was a magic that future Trans Formers shows should study if they want to make it happen again.
The DVD set was awsome except for the interviews with the newer actors. Lets hear from the originals after all if it wasn't for thier success there wouldn't be any new shows or actors for those shows. If Hasbro wants to make the Transformers successful then maybe they should watch some of the old episodes and maybe go back to a closer story line for any future shows. I love Anime but The origianl shows were American art and it worked.

Summary: Another Great DVD Set
Review: I bought this Season 2 set along with the Season 1 set. The show quality is great. A huge amount of episodes are included in the entire set. The artwork on the box is great. Two film cells are included. Everything is wonderful. The price is great for the number of shows that come with the Season 1 & 2 combo offer. I can't say enough good things about the deal that lets me own one of my favorite tv shows.

Summary: Good but could be better
Review: I had this dvd on preorder from amazon and got it as soon as it was released. The episodes are better than in Season 1 but I am really writing this review cause of the special features section, one word: boring. I would prefer to see cell/voice mistakes, clips from the Japapese show, deleted scenes or how about the original commercials for the toys? If there will be interviews in the second part how about of the original voice actors from the original series? That's my only gripe about this dvd, please improve the special features besides that any Transformers fan should get this.

Summary: Awesome collection. Brought back the memories!
Review: I got hooked on the Season 1 boxed set and just had to have this one. Got it for Christmas and couldn't put it down. This is the first half of the Season 2 episodes, shown in production order. I won't bore everyone with listing the episodes, since everyone else has already done that. But I will go into some detail. While the colors are not as bright as the Season 1 set and there is some significant dirt on them, the restorations are not as intrusive as the Season 1 set, and therefore all the special effects and scenes are just the way I remember them. The animation for the most part is a big improvement over the first season and contain less coloring mistakes. Tons of new characters show up, (albeit most without explanation at all), such as the Triple Changers Blitzwing and Astrotrain, the show off Autobots Powerglide and Tracks, new Decepticon jets Ramjet, Thrust, and Dirge, and Autobot powerhouse Omega Supreme. The characters are still very well written, with the show taking full advantage of the totally different personality traits and abilities of each character. The original series did this much better than any of the modern day Transformers shows do. The voice acting is still awesome as well, with a literal whos who of cartoon voice acting at the time. Scatman Crothers returns as Jazz, Casey Kasem returns as Cliffjumper. Chris Latta returns as Starscream. And, of course, you get the awesome Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and Ironhide. The only disappointment in this set was the fourth disc, with contained only 3 episodes. The rest of the disc was some horrible special features with voice actors that don't even do the classic Transformers shows and tons of stuff from the geekfest of BotCon. I would much rather Rhino had just put one more episode on each of the other three discs and kept the cost down, or include special features that classic Transformers fans would actually want to watch, such as original commercials for the toys or perhaps deleted scenes and clips from the Japanese Transformers cartoons. Overall, though, I loved this set, and will be counting the weeks until the second half of Season 2 hits store shelves.

Review: As a transfan for most of my life, I would have to say releasing the original series on dvd boxed sets was a great idea. It's like reliving the 80's once agian. If your a fan, you should get this. Not only because these episodes are classics. But just to experience how and why the transformers became so popular back then, and to the present day.

Summary: More Than Meets The Eye
Review: This DVD set is an absolute must if you're a transformers fan. It contains 24 episodes of the classic 80's Japanese Anime(dubbed in English of course). Can't wait 'till Rhino releases season 3,4,2010,Headmasters,Masterforce,Victory,Zone,Robots In Disguise, and Armada. I know I'm asking for a lot, but I know that a lot of Transfans out there want exactly what I do. RHINO STAFF, I BEG YOU TO RELEASE ALL I'VE LISTED ABOVE, BECAUSE I'M QUITE CERTAIN THAT NO ONE ELSE WILL. I LOVE TRANSFORMERS(DESTRONS RULE)

Review: I can not belive that The Transformers are back from what I can remamber of GI season 2 is the Episodes that I seen on the Greration II seiras I can not whait in tell Season Three and the rest of Season II and I hope the Second Half will have the Japanses Episode Scramble City the story behing Autobot City.
