Review: If you are new to the Anime (Japanese Animation) world, then this a a GREAT series to start you out in. This series is a great story about a Japanese boy who "just wants to be normal." But ends up having every sexy woman in the galaxy dropping by his house, and a good half of them falling head over heals in love with him. Add that to the Star-Wars-Like combat and story line, and you have a great Anime series! The DVDs are even better than the VHS because of the obvious improvements of sound and picture, and DVDs are cheaper overall than VHS!

Review: The original and Best Tenchi Series! This DVD's version has the both the English (before the censors for Cartoon Network got hold of it!) and Japanese dialog. The Series itself will make you laugh no matter how many times you see them and all the extra features make a bargin at twice the price. If you have seen this series on TV then do not judge this boxed set on that as the TV version had loads and loads of mature jokes and the entire opening sqeuence removed to cut down the length of each episode.So in short if you like anime or even if you don't this is comedy masterpiece that will entertain every time you watch it

Review: This is one of the best anime DVD sets out there! It is the original OVA set of the wonderful Tenchi Muyo! Series. This is what started the whole legacy. BUY IT!!! You WONT regret it!

Summary: Comedy, Action and best of all anime BABES
Review: This box set contains every single Tenchi Muyo episode... And unlike the Cartoon Network toonami version this version is completely uncensored. You will be suprised with how much was cut off in the toonami version. If you are wondering if this is the first series of Tenchi then the answer is yes... First came Tenchi Muyo series, then the 1st Tenchi movie, then the Tenchi universe series, then the second Tenchi movie, then the Tenchi in tokyo series and finally the third Tenchi movie.

Review: Awsome DVD some nudity but little actual nudity nothing really big but a great value and worth it. don't get it with the tokyo addition i pobably wouldn't even take it if it was free.

Summary: Superb series and this is the beginning!
Review: I love Tenchi Muyo! I really do. It is a wonderful series of both OVAs and movies. I probably see it a little differently than some as I tend to concentrate on the love story between Ryoko and Tenchi--though I know I am not alone in this. This box set comprises the beginning of the whole series. Within these discs we get to meet the gang for the first time. We see Ryoko awaken, Sasami and Aeka arrive and of course meet Tenchi Masaki. At its core, Tenchi Muyo is a love story. It is the love story of Ryoko and Tenchi. While there is the ever-present bickering and jealousy between all of the women in the series over Tenchi (most notably Aeka and Ryoko, but my no means limited to them) it still distills down to the former story in my mind. By way of example, the episodes on the second DVD close with a song (tsuki no tragedy - Tragedy of the Moon) which is sung by Ryoko lamenting the fact that as hard as she tries "I know that the distance between you and me won't grow smaller". However, she comforts herself for though she believes she will never have her love at least "shining on your night quietly, is enough". This song is without a doubt the greatest and saddest song about unrequited love in the history of music. Its English translation is incredible and if possible even better than the Japanese version. With lines like, "You don't seem to count the hours, when we are not together" and the closing verse which follows: I love the warm emotion you bring
though there is pain I don't complain
How you can inspire me
whenever we're together
Every time it's like a new song
you move me so, I think you know
I won't even say a word
In your arms or far from sight, I'll be your light
like the lonely moon it weaves a tale of true love. One we see over and over again through Ryoko's character. There are plenty of scenes with lots of action and a great backstory of cosmic royalty and princes lost then found so even action seeking fans will have satisfaction. The comedy is sometimes silly, often wild, and to some gets a bit tiring, but it is never so bad that one can't take it. At its best times it is as good as anything on Saturday Night Live anyway. (OK maybe not as good as the John Belushi stuff but hey!). This series contains all the requisite elements of a bonafide hit. Action, suspense, humor and love story are all blended here with a deft and artful style that has made Tenchi Muyo a classic in anime. There are only two other series I recommened so highly (Escaflowne and Space Cruiser Yamato). In short there are not enough stars here for me to pick. If I could give it 6 I would. Summary: No Need for Reviews
Review: Tenchi Muyo..what can be said about it? You either hate it or you love it, and most viewers love it. You have a teenager, his father and his grandfather all stuck living with crazy women. Nothing wrong with that, especially if you are looking for humor. If you like anime and need a laugh Tenchi is the ticket. No need to say more.

Review: I have seen a whole lot of anime. A whole lot. And simply, Tenchi Muyo is the best! (Specifically, Tenchi Muyo! OVA) It has lots of comedy, which is often smart and tasteful. It has just enough action, to make it fun to watch. It doesn't drag on (drag-on ball), but rather has a very interesting story line, with lots of twists and revelations. The animation is superb, with a PERFECT example of what anime should look like. And, of course, the characters are great. They are memorable, and drive the story and plot along. In a nutshell, this is the ULTIMATE balance of action, comedy, and story. The best ever, in my humble opinion.

Review: The tenchi muyo OAV box set is a worth while purchase for those who have fallen in love with the world of Tenchi Muyo. There can only be good things said about this product. Available in both the english and japanese version this series is an absolute essential to the everyday persons anime collection.

Review: ...Watch these DVD's!! This is a great box set of the OVA episodes, they are uncut and great quality. You can see the start of Tenchi, where Ryoko came from and everything, with the very cute Ryo-ohki! The best cabbit in all of the land.
