Summary: A Very Good Anime Series
Review: Pioneer finally put the entire Tenchi Muyo! series into one collection, which is good news for fans of this great series. All of the things that make this aime so good have already been listed, so I'm not going to repeat them; the main reason is the characters and their interaction with each other however. I am glad to find the entire series in one collection, as I only saw the first 7 episodes before this. I just hope that more episodes are created for the OAV series in the future, rather than having more spin-offs made.

Summary: No Need for a Review!
Review: Tenchi is quite possibly the most popular and best anime series to come out to this date. This original OVA series that started the whole thing is the perfect place to start.I was kind of woried when I first ordered this as I hadn't seen the original series, just some of the TV series and the movie Tenchi in Love. After all, there is no Kiyone in this series and she's one of the top characters in the show. I did miss her, but the show did just fine on its own without her. It is the characters that have always driven Tenchi though and after watching this you'll come to know and love them as all other fans have. There's Ryoko, the demon woman who has made it her life work to get Tenchi and annoy Ayeka and quite possibly the biggest mismatch imaginable for Tenchi. There's Ayeka, crown princess to Jurei, a bit stuck up and bossy at times and has a hard time expressing herself. Then there's Sasami, Ayeka's younger sister who is as kind as they come , and as cute too. And let's of course not forget Ryo-Ohki, who's cuteness factor puts Mr. Pikachu to shame who has the convenient ability to change herself into a spaceship. There's something for everyone. Action (a mix of samurai and sci fi), comedy, drama, and romance all are present in this series. If you like anime you owe it to yourself to pick this series up.

Summary: A superior piece of Anime
Review: Tenchi Muyo is up there with Bubblegum Crisis - an exceptional piece of anime. The reproduction is excellent, and the Tenchi Universe bits are a bonus as far as I'm concerned. The only thing I'd point out is that the translations are really interesting. The subtitles/dubbing is very different in places from translations that I've seen from a fan-subtitled equivalent (maybe the translators were afraid of breaching ratings?). I'm still trying to make sense of Episode 6's Tenchi vs Kagato clash - it doesn't make sense with the subtitles that have been added. And in the dubbed version, Ryohki loses its cattiness - Ryohki's meows are either deleted or dubbed over - why, may I ask? Meow is meow no matter which language it is in. Why change the voice or delete the voice ? Very very strange. Still, I'm not complaining. It is an exceptional piece of anime, and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching it again and again. The sound quality is excellent, and I'd recommend this as ONE OF THE BEST. Go! Go! Ryouko !!

Summary: Hi-Definition Video -- Fun Anime!!
Review: If you're a fan of anime and are looking for a DVD , THIS is the one to get!!! The series has been digitally remastered to be CRYSTAL CLEAR (which isn't always the case with other DVD titles). And the story? FUNNY, QUIRKY, and EXCITING, and it's NOT dirty (although there are a couple of cheeky moments, and what I'd call "courtesy flashes"). I had to e-mail Pioneer and compliment them and I NEVER do that -- until now. It's worth the bucks. Without a doubt.

Review: When I saw this, all I could say to myself was. "Cool!" Of course, I already have this on LD but had to complement my collection with the DVD. All in all great, esp. that it comes with the Encyclopedia, which is a need item.
