Review: This has got to be the best kids' movie ever made.It has great animation and sound.
This movie is about an overprotective clownfish searching for his son Nemo who was taken off of the reef by divers and brought to a dentist office in Sydney,Australia.Nemo's father,Marlin,is crossing the entire ocean searching for Nemo.Along his way he meats a forgetful but hysterically funny blue tang fish named Dory,three vegetarian sharks,a lantern fish,a field of jellyfish and a surfer turtle dude named Crush.
The DVD comes with 2 disks:disk 1 is a widscreen versian and disk 2 is a fullframe versian.Each dis has its own special features like the documentary:making Nemo or Mr.Ray's encyclopedia and much more.
Overall this is a musthave for adults and children alike.

Review: * In the beginning of Disney / Pixar's computer-animation
adventure movie, FINDING NEMO, we meet Marlin (voice of
Albert Brooks), a somewhat fussy clownfish who has just
established a home for his wife and expectant brood of eggs
in an anemone with a marvelous view in a wonderful
neighborhood. Everything seems to be going well for Marlin,
until a barracuda arrives to take everything away from him,
all except one hatchling named Nemo.Nemo grows up under a thoroughly overprotective father,
and an act of defiance lead's to Nemo's capture by
divers. He ends up in the aquarium of a dentist in
Sydney, working on escape plans hatched by the old
scarred Gill (voice of Willem Dafoe), while his father
undertakes an epic journey to retrieve his son. In
this odyssey, he is helped by Dory (voice of Ellen
Degeneres), an eccentric blue tang who has a serious
short-term memory problem. FINDING NEMO's script follows the traditions of good
kids / family movie in telling a story that emphasizes
family values, the willingness to take risks, self-reliance,
and trust. That is all well and good -- criticizing
such Mom-Apple-Pie-&-The-Flag values requires much more of
a contrary streak than I have -- and is fine for kids, but
it makes the story somewhat predictable for adults. (Humorist
Dave Barry once wrote a book about his vacation in Japan,
during which his wife was able to perfectly describe the
inspiring speech of a housewife to her family in a Japanese
soap opera without knowing a word of Japanese.) In compensation, Marlin's odyssey, like any good odyssey,
takes him on strange adventures, including a meeting with
three somewhat eccentric sharks, a sea turtle with a slacker /
extreme sports mindset, a humpback whale, and a friendly
pelican. I can't say the laughs are nonstop, but it does
have some good ones: "MINE! MINE! MINE!" "OK I'LL
TALK!" -- and scatterbrained Dory almost steals the show,
with Marlin reduced to a straight man, uh, fish. I'll
never be able to see Ellen Degeneres again without thinking
about bugeyed Dory. Most important of all, FINDING NEMO is a very pretty
computer-generated aquarium ride, with beautiful reef
seascapes so full of detail that I would have been happy
to have just got a DVD that provied a tour of this marvelous
undersea world without a bit of a story. (The disk actually
includes a set of short clips of the seascapes to be used
as a "virtual acquarium". In short, FINDING NEMO is competently put together throughout,
and in particular shines with its well-designed and implemented
special effects, and the DVD provides plenty of fun extras. The
fact that this sort of thing is now fairly familiar means that
FINDING NEMO lacks the same "shock of the new" that, say, TOY
STORY delivered, but after all, a particular thing can only be
new once. Still, I enjoyed it all, from the funny comedy routine
between Marlin and Dory that backs up the DVD menu, to the final
full credit listing, in which another Pixar character makes
a cameo appearance and which ends in one of the better gags in the
movie.

Review: I've been a fan of Disney/Pixar movies since Toy Story, A Bug's Life, ect. When I saw the previews for Finding Nemo, I couldn't wait to see it. I finally saw it in the movies with my dad and my best friend, and I LOVED it! The computer animation and colors were beautiful! The voices were perfect, and the story was cute. The movie starts out with a young clownfish named Marlin (Albert Brooks) with his wife Coral who are parents-to-be. Suddenly, a baracuda attacks, and eats Coral and the rest of the eggs except for one: Nemo. Marlin takes care of Nemo on his own, and is very protective of his son. But soon, Nemo is kidnapped by divers! Marlin desperetly tries to find Nemo with the help of his new friend, Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) who has short term memory loss, and the adventure begins...

Summary: Fishy Fun!
Review: I absolutely LOVED this movie. The graphics were great, and the fish were just so cute! The storyline was great, and it was so funny. The fish in the dentist's office were hillarious, along with those pelicans and those penguin-type birds. The beginging of the movie was a bit sad, since the mother fish and her babies were eaten-except for Nemo and his dad. The movie was really, really great and I higly reccomend it!!

Summary: EXCELLENT movie but not for the youngest of kids
Review: This movie is one of my favorites, and I'm usually into movies like The Matrix, Blackhawk Down, etc... but Finding Nemo found its way into my library of good DVDs. However, don't let its cute appearance fool you. It's not REALLY for young kids. Some of the jokes go over their heads while some of the animations could cause the kids to have nightmares. There's a scene where Dory and Marlin first meet Bruce the shark. His looming presence made me jump a little in my seat. Then there's the deep sea fish w/ the bioluminiscent light... For parents or older siblings, I highly recommend you watch this movie FIRST before showing it to younger children - simply cover their eyes when the "scary" scenes occur. Other than a few scenes, the whole movie is a blast to watch.

Review: as an aussie, i was under the impression that the seagulls were all saying "mate", not 'mine", so what are they really saying?

Summary: Not enough character development.
Review: I saw this movie last night. I have to say that the movie totally sucked. First of all, as ridiculous as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, in which human could fly, it's absurd that fish (and turtles and birds) talk in this movie. Have you ever heard fish talk in the pet store? That's my point. My second objection relates to the fact that the characters are not developed enough. I didn't feel that I even cared if Marlin found his son in the end or not. I was not really able to relate to those fish at all. I went to the theater having heard all the rave reviews and came out feeling ripped off. But if you want to laugh your belly button off, forget about the world around you, and be immersed in the surreal world of underwater pain and happiness (a little like the Spongebob experience) this is an adorable movie.

Summary: Funny but Scary
Review: This movie was very scary for young children. I have enjoyed other Disney/Pixar movies, so I made the mistake of buying this one before I watched it. I then saw the movie with children ages 2,4,5,9, and 12. Of all of the children, only the 4 year old and 12 year old liked it. The 5 year old cried for much of the film, and the two year old kept saying, "Scary." The animation is fabulous, and there is some cute humor in the movie. I was surprised at how much violence there was in the movie. All Disney movies seem to have some sort of violence, but most also include cute scenes with singing or some kind of happy events. This movie was more of a child "thriller." I don't believe it is suitable for children under six, unless the child is not particularly sensitive.

Review: This was one of my favorite movies. It was funny and the kids would love it. I saw it with my cousins and I saw it with my dad. We all loved it. It's not expensive, so buy it today and make the hole family proud.
