Summary: An Intriguing Aquatic Adventure
Review: Pixar's newest film is nothing short of excellence. Ironically, I would not consider myself in the main age group at all. I'm sixteen, and to make matters stranger, a guy. (A straight guy for you skeptical bastards out there) Anyhow, even someone such as myself can appreciate the superior animation and the simply unbelievable cast of characters. This movie has a little something for everyone.

Let's begin with the plot. At first, it's nothing special. Marlin and Coral, two clownfish, find a new home on the reef and prepare for their eggs to hatch. However, a barracuda attack leaves Coral and almost all the eggs dead. Only one sole egg escapes, and Marlin names it Nemo since his wife had that particular name in mind prior to her death. Relax, you don't actually see anything violent. Marlin is simply knocked unconscious in the skirmish and awakes to find Coral and the eggs gone.

In the future, Nemo wants to attend school, and MArlin has become rather over protective of him. He reluctantly lets Nemo go, only to chase after him when he learns his teacher, a clever manta ray, is taking the kids to a dropoff point where the ocean stretches and gets deeper. He eventually catches up to his own and is infuriated even though Nemo had not yet done anything wrong. Out of frustration, Nemo takes on the challenge of his peers and swims out to a nearby boat to prove to his father he is not so helpless. Then a returning scuba diver appears and captures him. The remainder of the story is all about Marlin's frantic and desperate search to find his only son. Along the way, he encounters sharks, sea turtles, pelicans, and many more unique characters. There are also some other scenes involving Nemo's adventures in the fish tank. The story is a basic scenario where one character takes it upon himself to resolve a situation against all odds.

The characters are the highlight of the film. There has to be at least one character anyone can relate to in this cast. The voice acting is certainly superior, and the emotion cannot be denied. It is extremely impressive to believe that such feeling could be generated by characters with no arms or legs. It is almost all in the voice and facial expression. Although some characters are certainly more liked than others, the variety makes every turn a new experience.

The final aspect that I enjoyed about this film were the simple hidden messages. One particular insightful quote was Gill's, "Never stopped me. Now, just focus on what you have to do." Intriguing; a fish explaining the most basic way to overcome any obstacle. Although annoying, there is also Dory's true mtto, "Just keep swimming." Isn't that the truth? No matter what life throws at you, you've gotta find a way to get through it. The movie is loaded with hidden meanings and profound lessons.

To conclude briefly, Finding Nemo is not a movie designed for my viewing audience, and it is impossible for me to say there aren't moments when that problem arises. However, it is equally impossible for me to say I wasn't entertained throughout the movie. I recommend Finding Nemo to all ages. It is surely at least worth one view.

Summary: Good
Review: I was expecting more from this movie after hearing such wonderful things about it. Toy Story this is not. It is a beautiful movie with a good story though. Most of the jokes fall flat. I chuckled a few times. No laugh out loud moments. Ellen's part saves the movie from being completely boring. I'd rather see a movie based on her character alone. I liked Finding Nemo but it made me sleepy.

Summary: A Little Something for Everyone!!!
Review: You know I got this video because of the kids, but as I watched this video, I realized that there is something in this movie for everyone! Here you got this father who is deathly afraid of going anywhere after watching his wife and tiny eggs get killed right before his eyes, all except Nemo. So, he tries to protect him, and on the very first day of school, he gets taken by this Australian dentist who puts him in his fish tank and wants to give him as a present to his niece. The best thing about this video is Nemo's dad, who wouldn't go far, always stayed close to home, goes out in the deep blue searching for his son, and Dory, who can't remember Jack past a minute, she was hilarious. And the turtles, you couldn't help but love them. Get this video and enjoy!! I promise there is something for everyone.

Summary: Finding a disney treasure
Review: There are those reviews before this which tell parents of young children to avoid this film because of some 'violent' aspects to the movie that may me too much to handle. However Bambi, a legendary Disney movie, shows a mother deer being killed by a hunter, an aspect that, for me, is far more violent than a fish being eaten. I believe Finding Nemo belongs in the ranks of Bambi and Lion King as one of Disney's masterpieces. The best Disney movies are those involving 90-100% animal casts with little human intervention. From start to finish this film is brilliant. The animation is unrivaled in any film to date, and the storyline stands on its own. Far from being flimsy, this is a story of loss, strife, finding one self, independence, responsibility, and family. The story is beautiful and can move you and then humor you at the drop of a dime. The story is swift, but moves at a comfortable pace for its audience. This is a captivating film in every aspect; continuing the success of Pixar/Disneyp partnership, but also proving that Disney is able to craft a film which explores the depths of human emotion and places it in a context in which young and old can allow their imaginations to be freed and can embrace a film that will be treasured by generations to come for its awesome animation and the touching and humorous tale it weaves from beginning to end. Pick this up NOW!

Summary: A kids movie that adults will love too
Review: If you liked 'Toy Story', 'A Bugs Life' and 'Monsters Inc' then you'll like this movie. It's by the same people, with the same care and detail.
The kids will love it because it's got charming characters who embark on a great underwater adventure full of thrills, spills and laughter.
Adults will love it for the same reason but also because, in true Pixar (the creators) style, the story is wonderfully scripted and interlaced with little subtleties and references that keep the story fresh time after time.
So when your son or daughter wants to watch it for the 14th time this week it's still watchable.
Get this movie, and if you've not done so yet, get everything else Pixar have had a hand in creating.
You won't be disappointed.

Summary: Another great family film from Pixar
Review: My two-year old loves Finding Nemo and I like watching it with him, too. What else can you ask for in a family film? The story has a good message about fatherly devotion and doles out plenty of good one-liners. Once again the Disney-Pixar combination is gold.

Summary: Scared both my kids!
Review: Finding Nemo was way too frightening for my two kids- 3 and 5. Neither one of my kids are particularly skittish, but a mom and siblings eaten by sharks, a kidnapped kid and very scary sharks chasing the main characters was WAY too much for them. I don't think they made it past 30 minutes into the movie. I'm very sorry that I didn't preview it before allowing them to watch it. The humor was funny to me, but definitely adult in nature, not focused on kids the way Toy Story or A Bug's Life is.
