Summary: Color music and art
Review: Any review does this series no justice! One of the most unique Anime story lines ever to be created! I showed my parents a few Sessions when I was home for Christmas and they where blown away. The Color in this cartoon is radiant and the music is a smorgasbord from blues, rock, drum and classical music. Each Session can stand on its own yet keeps the central theme going in this action packed Anime of bounty hunting, soul finding, vengeance seeking fun!

A must have for the Anime collector

Summary: I Get My Thrills from the Waist UP
Review: Cowboy Bebop is, for all I've seen, the best series ever and the only one that matters. A lush, organic score by Yoko Kanno (from "Vision of Escaflowne" and "Macross Plus"), plus savvy writing and also tight direction. But the best point of the series is that it is really a satire of everything about anime and pop culture. Many have noted how scenes from movies like "The Man who Knew Too Much" and characters like Vash the Stampede were lifted and modified to these episodes. This is truly wonderful writing because it tickles your brain and strangles your heart.
Think about it. Like in "Pierrot LeFou", it blatantly combines the looks of the Joker and Penguin and does an homage to Batman: The Animated Series; for all its solemnity, the series is an attack on the status quo. Andy from "Cowboy Funk" is really a parody of Vash from Trigun. Ed is a spoof of the Ditzy Blonde (i.e., Mihoshi, Serena, Su) demographic, etc. They even mock the stereotype of an otaku in "Speak Like a Child" (observe the video cassette enthusiast). My personal favorites are the spoof of P.E.T.A. and environmentalists in "Gateway Shuffle", and the send up of New Age freaks in "Brain Scratch". The only people who hate this series are the ones who take it seriously.
But that is not to say that you shouldn't have some gravity about you when watching this. The characters have realistic tones and motivations. Even minor characters get killed senselessly. Scenes are filled with minute details most fail to include--like the fact that not everyone in the world is either white or Japanese-speaking. (How refreshing that a series is not in any way designed for kids or teens!) My jaw dropped at the things they would do.
And episodes just end. There are no cliffhangers, per se. A viewer can stop at any point and not have to watch the rest of the series. At the conclusion of Episode 26, Spike is dead, Ed and Ein vanish, plus Faye and Jet are a couple left to fend for themselves. Screw the rest of the world. That's all folks! They also don't try to cram in altruism or morals. I mean, what do anime writers know about the meaning of life? These traits assure it a place in history for bringing back some humility to anime.
Best Episodes: #5) Ballad of Fallen Angels, #11)Toys in the Attic, #12 & 13) Jupiter Jazz (pts. 1&2), #17)Mushroom Samba, # 20) Pierrot LeFou, and #25 & 26)Real Folk Blues (pts. 1&2)

Judge it for yourself, I might actually be wrong. But as they say on the last episode: "You gotta bear that weight"

Summary: The Best Example of Anime
Review: Cowboy Bebop is the best any fan, new or old, could hope for. Good story line, characters have depth, episodes can make you laugh or cry and the sound track by Yoko Kanno is brilliant. In fact, at least 6 CD's of the music written for the series are on the market today. The music was the first thing I noticed and that got me hooked. I have watched over 130 Anime DVD's (I counted)and Cowboy Bebop is my favorite above all the series I own or have seen. Buy it, try it, you'll love it. Keep an eye out for the feature length motion picture to hit the states later this year.

Summary: AWESOME!
Review: This series rocks. It's action packed, it's got interesting characters, thick plot, some comedy, and some of the best animation I've seen. And they don't drag it on forever like Dragonball Z/GT.

The DVD's are awsome. Loaded with special features, extras, languages and cool menus.

The Boxed set is the best boxed set I own. A step above the rest. The box is more like a case. It's sturdy and easy to get the DVD's out. And it comes with a soundtrack.

Summary: This series rules all! so why not but it all at once? The only thing you'll be missing is the Cowboy Bebop Movie: Knockin on heaven's door.

Summary: Top Notch Entertainment (Tho overly familiar)
Review: Cowboy Bebop is a fabulous show with good characters and an excellent music score. In fact, so far it has the best music of any anime show I've yet seen. So very diverse and fun. Yet, Cowboy Bebop barely has anything I haven't seen elsewhere and it's themes are far less thought-provoking than those of Trigun, which I believe to be unique from everything else in any genre.

It can't be denied, however, that this is a fabulous boxset, one of the best ever. I have almost as big a blast looking at it as I do watching the series. Top notch production. The show is full of fun characters (most notably Ed) and a variety that's hard to find elsewhere. The way they handled the ending was quite masterful, yet all in all a sad affair. To be truthful, you can't have a better viewing experience than watching Cowboy Bebop AND Trigun together. Spike and Vash, friends forever.

Summary: Quite Simply Put, The Greatest Anime In Existance
Review: I've watched a fair amount of Anime, some of my favorites include IRIA, Trigun, and Ghost In The Shell. Put compared to Cowboy Bebop all three of those fall short by a long shot. First the characters: We have our classic anti-hero Spike, with his cool persona and mysterious past he's not exactly an original take on your main character, but somehow seems fresh. Faye is your average attractive chick thrown in, but she too seems fresh. Jet is the the more sane individual who proves vital to the team, and from there it gets rather odd with a 9 year old hacker genius in Ed and a super smart dog named Ein.

The story is only really present in about 6 or so episodes, the rest of the series is totally off track, usually just explaining the characters pasts better. The voice acting is exceptional compared to most dubs. The story line is supurb, and the action in the series is great too. The music in this series is also great, bluesy and jazzy, it sets a great mood.

Summary: My favorite show
Review: If I could afford this set right now then I'd buy it. What do you need to know about it? You can watch the show yourself on the Cartoon Network. I don't think I've ever had the desire to purchase episodes or collections of a TV show before, but Bebop is different. Each episode offers something that just touches you, and almost always something new at that. Although if you're not the kind of person who finds yourself trancing out at beautiful fantasy and poetic reality all in one, then perhaps you won't enjoy it. It's just something very rare... something that stays good because it's just not overbearing or underbearing.

Summary: BEWARE!!! Crummy version sold elsewhere
Review: Cowboy Bebop is incredible! I thought to save $$$ and bought at ebay, 3-DVD set of all episodes for [amt] ... Turns out they are not dubbed, but subtitled only, from Hong Kong, and very poorly interpreted. Some of the sentences didn't even make sense, and others totally lost the subtle humor I love about bebop! I've seen it at conventions and this cheapie set is horrible. DON"T BUY THE CHEAP HONG KONG ONE! But DO buy the Bandai official one like ... sells. You will love it!

Summary: This is the best boxset I have ever purchased!
Review: I would recommend this boxset to anyone who enjoys anime content. Truly a masterpiece of it's time. I was very impressed with the box cover it self, it was professionally designed. And the DVD menus are very well designed, with both fashion and fuction in mind. Compared to versions airing on television the quality of both visual and audio content are at least three times more impressive.

The extras with this boxset include the OST (original soundtrack). The music is very well composed without flaw, and executed very well when the scene calls for it.

If you're a Cowboy Bebop fanatic obtain this limitied edition boxset! Not only does it make a great collector's item, it is also a great way to showcase your Cowboy Bebop fanaticism.

Summary: Fresh and Fun
Review: I have been a anime fan since the age of 4 with the release of Robotech, and a die hard anime collector sice the age of 14, I am now 21. I have about four times as many anime DVD's as I do motion pictures, not to mention VHS. If I, out of all the anime titles that I own had to choose one particular fovorite it would have to be this series. The series revolves around a rag tag group of no luck bounty hunters who are thrown together by chance. Each caracter is idividual in personality and history. Cowboy beebop is a fresh approach in plot and progression. It has enough wacky antics to keep children entertained. Adrenaline pumping action, that isn't overdone or too graffic for the weak stomached. The story even has broken hearted heros with shadowed underlined pasts which keeps both ladies and men alike intruged. The series offers something to everyone. It is a drama/comedy/ action/scifi tale of irony, deceit, lost love, and revenge.
The plot is semi-liear, in a way that adds to the entertaiment value of the series. You will have an episode that is devoted entirely to plot progression or unvieling a characters past, then you'll have a strictly gun or fun episode where ie. the entire cast through hardship hunger and chance, accidently trips on space mushrooms offering comedic relife as we look on our heros side splitting halosinations. To add to all of this my macho hardcore peers who like me are U.S. Marines, make fun of my purchasing of "cartoons" as a hobby. Though they all scoffed, they all got hooked on this one particular series. Bottom line....Buy it. You'll be happy you did.
